Since 2015, Going has been on a mission to ensure no one has to overpay for flights.
Going is a travel service that sends amazing flight deals daily to more than 2 million travelers. Members save hundreds of dollars on airfare to destinations all over the globe.
The company does not take commission from airlines or travel agencies — the only goal is to find and send amazing flight deals directly to travelers’ inboxes.
“We just returned from Cape Town, South Africa, thanks to $600 roundtrip flights! Adopting the Going travel philosophy of prioritizing price first, rather than date/destination, has been a game-changer. With open minds and our Going subscription, we’ve been places we never thought possible.”

I dont hate the site or the app, but it is completely useless to me. I signed up for a discounted premium memebership by being a teacher about 3 months ago and there has yet to be a deal that's even remotely feasible for me within my travel parameters. Half the time I get an alert, click on it and it said Oops something went wrong or just doesn't go anywhere. When I do click on the deal it feeds me into Google flights and it's some random date in February or mid November. I can search Google flights for free.
Would this be a great site for a someone who can travel at any random time? Yes, im sure. However, if you need to fly out of anything but a major airport (think chicago, jfk, lax) and have a select window of dates for travel, you are never going to get a deal.
I understand that going.com cannot control when, where with whom they can find a discount but i feel misled. I'm glad I tried so now I know and I can also tell friends and family not to waste their time and money. I've set it to not renew at the end of my 1 yr membership.

Great tips/advice to help me find great fares to my destination a half world way during the holiday season.

I love the reminders for my destinations and starting points.
Found a great weekend city visit to PDX that I will be going soon.
But I wish the prices would be compared not at the bare bones, no carry on, but at the next level up. (select seat/one carry on or with better travel times than 4:40 am arriving 11:55....PM) Just a thought

An update for a post-trip review!
The flight found by Going was not the exact flight I ended up buying on United, but it worked out, and I love walking airports on layovers so all good - Boy there is a lot of construction at ABQ, DEN, PDX and SFO - must be the year!
For those who like airports not just for the flight, the changes at PDX are beautiful, a lot of natural wood, improved TSA, not as Closter phobic and even an indoor forest! (worth seeing if you stop over).
Arrived in PDX and made the best of the weekend visit - McMenamins Kennedy School Hotel is a blast, and the boiler-room bar in the basement is worth visiting - be sure to buy a McMenamins Passport for added adventure! An afternoon of music (and passport stamps to get a free shirt) at the McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, then back to downtown to McMenamins Crystal Hotel for the second night, walking to several other McMenamin breweries and pub in the local area (and yes, more passport stamps earning a free Capt. Neon burger and tots!), and then by chance walking by the PDX area ice cream company Salt and Straw. - Did you know they make dairy-free ice cream for your Dog?!
Monday morning, it was back to PDX airport and then a stopover at SFO (come on! No Anchor Steam beer anymore - sad. and couldn't find SFO sourdough bread to torment seatmates on the next flight leg. And when has a pint of beer cost $20! - ouch!)
Conclutions. A quick weekend doesn't translate to a "cheap" weekend, but it was fun and I'd say worth it. Lyft/Uber around PDX cost more than the flight, Hotel rooms in PDX are getting up there in price, but you find some of the best of Oregon at PDX airport (breweries, wineries, distilleries, coffees and Tillamook cheese!) - Maybe just stay at the airport for a day!
Lastly a note to United. I understand that the "personal item only" airfares are meant to be "uncomfortable". I get it. But, not allowing check-in without agreeing to charge my credit card, so if the gate person finds your personal item too large, you are charged automatically..... It is open to potential abuse (size is subjective) and a bit humiliating as well- "yep you are a cheap person".
NOT a fan.... Call me out at the gate if needed, and what about those folks who only use debit or gift cards????
In conclusion, to quote Nike (also from PDX) - PDX...Just Do It!
Happy Adventures!

I signed up for Going recently and it's been great. I haven't booked anything based on their recommendations, but I will.
The flight deals I've seen so far have been much better than anything I've been able to find on my own, and I'm learning a lot about credit card miles and points

I was impressed with all the options available for you to try out for your next trip

I was able to book a flight to Okinawa due to the watch/alert feature. This is a bucket list destination so I was very happy for the alert plus I have booked prior flights at great prices due to my membership. Highly recommend.

Going introduced me to Google Flights, which is the best search engine for flights I've used (better than Kayak, which had been my go-to). I get daily emails of sales, and I've booked a couple flights so far based solely on the alerts I've gotten from Going. I appreciate that there is an army of people looking for great deals so that I don't have to.

I recommend Going to friends and family all the time! My mom even brags about how I'm "somehow" always able to find really good flight deals.
The deals I get are frequent enough that I don't mind paying for the premium tier, and I don't have the time and energy to search for deals anyway. Once we even got round trip tickets to Sydney for $350 from Hawaii (before I was a paid tier), and I've gotten $500 round trip to Tokyo! I also just got a points deal for 51k points round trip to Seoul. The emails are always really informative with links to guides on how to book with points etc. and clear explanations of what dates will or won't work, and sometimes alternative solutions. If you dont have flexibility in when/where to travel it might be a bit difficult to get a deal that works for you but it's still worth it to sign up. I love this company and will keep recommending it!

I travel often for both business and pleasure. You folks always have good offers and good advice. I appreciate the clarity of your communications and feeling that you're on my side to give me the best tips, not just the ones that favor you or your associates or OTAs.

Caught a deal when tickets to one of my bucket list locations went on sale for about half the normal price!! Scott's cheap flights aka Going has saved me hundreds every year. And my husband and I thousands! It lets me know immediately when a deal pops up somewhere I want to go, foreign and domestic - great as my family lives all over the states.
