I requested to disable the automatic renewal since we are no longer using the service. Instead of a simple confirmation, I received a response emphasizing that cancelling would permanently delete all our data (jobs, candidates, templates, integrations, etc.) and suggesting a “Pause Plan” with a 75% discount.
While I understand the commercial logic behind retention, the tone felt more focused on discouraging cancellation by highlighting data loss rather than simply processing a straightforward request.
When a company decides to stop using a service, the process should be clear, transparent, and frictionless. This experience felt unnecessarily complicated and slightly pressure-driven.
