Go Get is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I hired a car tonight from Logan IKEA, and the car had been broken into. Go Get booked me another car, and I had to travel half an hour to another location.
I collected the car and drove for about 20 minutes before stopping it, only for the car not to start. I was told I would potentially have to wait 2 hours (it was 8 p.m. at the time, and I am a female alone waiting by myself behind shops). When the mechanic came out and said there was a fault with the car, he doubted that it would start again, but Go Get assured me it would. Sure enough, I put fuel in the car, tried to start it, and it still would not start.
Go Get is a scam company that does not carry out quality checks on their vehicles. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Today, my booked car has a flat battery. And you wouldn't believe the poor customer service (although maybe you would reading some of the other reviews). Let's see how their "investigation" goes. I'm waiting for a full refund.

Pretty frustrating experience with GoGet over the last couple of weeks.
My account kept getting suspended on and off with no explanation, and I had to call customer service around five times just to get it temporarily sorted each time. Every time I was told it was fixed, it would happen again soon after.
Now my account has been fully deactivated right after a booking, again without any reason given. On top of that, I can’t even see my booking or charges anymore, and it looks like I may have been double charged for the same trip.
When I called support again, I was told they couldn’t do anything because the account is deactivated and to email instead. That email was supposedly to “sort it out”, but honestly it’s just added more frustration and still no clear explanation or resolution.
Overall, not a great experience and pretty disappointing as a customer. I´m still waiting for a resolution, but this experience has been so poor that regardless of the outcome I am not using this service again.

Used to be great but the quality of the cars and the customer service is dropping

NEVER AGAIN. First time user. The car was great. The concept is great The booking process is fairly simple, as is the pickup. But there’s no way I would use this service again - the pricing is not transparent in any way. I do my research to try and make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen to me. I used a voucher code that was supposed to remove 10% of the cost and there is no evidence of that being applied in the charge. This is how my 2.5 hour hire cost $50.
2.5 Hours × $13.30 =$33.25
19km × $0.50 = $9.50
‘Damage Cover’ $2.50/hour capped at $25.00/day = $6.25

Worst customer service ever. I found the interaction unhelpful and unprofessional. The conversation was then abruptly ended by the agent without resolution.

Let me tell you about my first experience of hiring a car with Go Get. I booked a car for 24hrs and arrived a few mins after the booking time. I needed the car to use while mine was in for a major service. When I arrived, I could not access the car. The card reader was no longer on the windscreen. It had fallen off and was sitting on the dashboard and would not read my card. When I rang the help number I was connected to an overseas call center. The lady had a strong accent and was extremely hard to understand. Eventually, after asking 7 questions to establish my identity (surely just a booking number and phone details would be sufficient) I understood she was going to try to unlock the car remotely
After several minutes the car’s horn starts blaring. Vey loud and very annoying. People in the street were glaring and seemed as annoyed as I was. After several minutes of this she called me. She said the alarm was sounding because she tried to unlock it remotely – brilliant.
When she eventually said she could not unlock the car, she said I will direct you to another car that’s available about 500m away. It’s at the “Chemist Warehouse” she said. I will send the address and details via email. So I have to try to read my email on the phone in broad daylight on the street. This is not as easy as it sounds. I drove around the corner and up the street to Chemist Warehouse. No sign of the car. I had to check the address and eventually found it some 300-400 meters away and across the road.
I could access this car and from there the process proceeded smoothly. However, I was 15 mins late for my service booking and missed my place in the que. My service took much longer to complete as a result.
For all this hassle, frustration and inconvenience I was given a $10 credit on my account (not cash mind you). The whole process was a complete disaster. The help person was only slightly helpful and the whole thing has left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. Mind you I have a very interesting story to tell all my friends and relatives about how useless this company is. That is unless you can offer some decent compensation with actual value.
Your marketing material sprouts how wonderful it all is. Why own a car when you can go get? Try them and you’ll see why. I leave this with you and await anxiously for your reply.

The tech is THE WORST. It has been for years. I have to call to book. Online or app cant make a booking.

Go Get is great for someone like me who rarely needs a car or a van, but can drive. I have hired a van to move house a few times and you can either pay by the hour or by the day. If you think that you need the vehicle for more than four hours, then by the day is a better option, especially because things often take longer than you think. I'm hiring a van to move house this week and it will cost me $130. I think if you are moving house it would be worth hiring a van even if you have a car because it makes moving large things such as beds and shelves and desks, so much easier, and also you can do it all in one trip, rather than several trips. If you need to move a whole house and have fridges and washing machines and couches etc, then perhaps then you would need a truck or hire removalists to do it for you, but for my needs, just a van is perfect 👌

They won't refund me the money I spent on fuel, even when I provided samples of my DNA. They assume You are a thief and you are trying to scam them. I will take them to court, I will win and I will share the details here so everyone can do the same.

This time after a customer service representative in the Philippines told me I wouldn’t be charged an admin fee and it was waived , go get charged me $25 from my pay pal account.
Trying to talk with them I called and no one answered. Their chat bot was equally as useless. So it appears customer service reps will lie to placate customers and go get will then make unauthorised debits from your bank. Some may consider this a business decision I call it theft. Be very careful

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. There are hidden costs that are not clearly explained upfront, and the pricing lacks transparency. Communication was also poor — responses were unclear and not helpful when I tried to get clarification.
On top of that, I was unfairly charged for damage to the car that simply did not exist. It felt completely unjustified and frustrating to deal with. I was also charged for insurance without it being properly explained or agreed to.
Overall, this experience felt misleading and stressful. I would not recommend this service to others.

Bloody hell all I wanted to do was see a map for whether there's a van near me
I had to create an account
Verify email
Provide phone
Verify phone
Provide drivers license
Etc etc etc
Just give us the bloody map so we can decide IF WE WANT TO SIGN UP OR NOT

I had a seriously disappointing experience with GoGet.
They emailed me saying I’d received a parking fine and that it would be re-nominated into my name. Two weeks later, I get another email saying they’re going to debit my account to pay the fine themselves.
When I called, I asked them to show me where in their terms and conditions they’re allowed to take money from my account for a fine that’s still under their name. They couldn’t. Instead, they told me to call the council — which makes no sense when the fine hasn’t even been transferred to me.
It’s clear they didn’t bother nominating the infringement properly. Rather than doing their job, they tried to take the easy route and charge me directly.
Then it gets worse.
Out of nowhere, I noticed a $49 charge from them. Turns out they had reactivated an old monthly membership — one I cancelled over a year ago. There had been no charges since cancellation, until this issue with the fine came up.
When I raised it, they claimed it was an “automatic renewal.” That doesn’t stack up — you can’t renew something that’s been inactive for over 12 months without notice.
I asked for a refund. Instead of resolving it properly, they went ahead and cancelled my account altogether without telling me.
At that point, it was obvious — I’d just been thrown into the “too hard” basket.
For the prices they charge, the level of service is unacceptable. Basic customer support shouldn’t be this difficult.
I’ve since moved on to alternatives like Flexicar and Popcar, which have been far more reliable.
Avoid GoGet — not worth the hassle.
FYI: Update 27/04/2026, the above response from Go Get is a PR stunt. I have sent 8 emails and left 3 messages with customer service to escalate my issue and to date I have had ZERO response.....so the original post stands. Zero Accountability. Go Get can Go Get F@$%

The process of getting a goget was designed in a user friendly manner. But there are some things that make a first time user a bit anxious. For example, if you can think about something to release the customer from the burden of inspecting the car carefully before and after use, or maybe show the fuel level to someone who is in the process of booking, it would be awesome.

Generally pretty good up until now, however they've now put my usual "day" booking rate for a Diesel Toyota HiAce up from $149 to $154 and have also reduced the amount of included kilometres free of charge from 100klm to 80 klms. In response to the war and all, yes, I understand, however I now have to put my rates up for my customers. They won't be happy with that. Thanks Goget!

Very poor experience with GoGet.
At the end of my booking, the designated parking bay was occupied. I contacted customer service and was instructed to park elsewhere and email photos of the occupied spot and the vehicle’s location, which I did. I was assured the issue would be handled.
No action was taken, and I later received a parking fine because the car was not moved. I had moved interstate shortly after, and about a year later received an additional penalty notice related to the same incident.
GoGet acknowledged the issue was due to their inaction and promised resolution within a week. Despite repeated follow-ups over 3+ months and multiple submissions of the same documents, nothing was resolved.
I was ultimately forced to pay the fine to avoid further penalties.
This reflects a failure to provide services with due care and within a reasonable time under the Australian Consumer Law.

Absolutely beyond TERRIBLE company and this is coming from someone who has never written a trustpilot review before. Made an account with them and upon picking up the car we saw broken glass all over the front compartment and the passenger side seatbelt mechanism was broken so the passenger could not get out of the car without sliding out of the seatbelt. We called to fix the issue (obviously don’t want to drive with a broken seatbelt) and were given a replacement car over the phone, all was well. On the way to the replacement car we got notice that the account was PERMANENTLY cancelled. After calling help again, they told us nothing could be done and they could not tell us any more details. Absolute scam company with horrendous cars that will cancel your account if you have any legitimate problems instead of helping you!

Car placement was convenient. The car itself was a little dirtier on the inside. Took pics inside and video around outside as the car had some scrapes and bangs.
Did what I needed to do with the car. Probably a little more expensive than I thought with tolls and per km charges.
I would use again though

Awful app experience, unable to book car and told I had ‘insufficient funds’ in my bank account- not true. Eventually able to book via PayPal. Car was absolutely filthy, app error meant I could not log this, nor did the fuel payment card work had to pay myself
