GoDaddy at its Worst, Yet They Think Their The Best!!!
GoDaddy at its Worst
GoDaddy has failed the consumer at the core. We get no more customer care and concern calls. No more making sure that everything that the consumer orders is exactly what the client requested. There is no
Quality Control to check to see if everything is done to perfection. All you get from Godaddy now is, "I'm sorry for the mistake or I'm sorry for this or that. And the CEO of Godaddy is sit behind his desk, not checking to see if anything really happened or if someone actually made a major mistake. Only thing he can do is respond to your issue is with sending you to a page where you need to go and find the answer to your problem along with every other issue that Godaddy has been requested help with, and all you get is a saved computer generated prepared answer. It's time for someone else at the Helm to restore the credibility that has been tarnished. You as the CEO Matt Reid are too high on your Horse to accommodate me $5000 for your ignorant employee deleting my business emails that took me 30 years to achieve. I'd like to see you handle business without your emails.
Auto-renewed without signing up
Auto-renewed without signing up, for two more years and twice the price. Uses dark pattern, obscured communication so it's not visible when purchased. Rip off.
GoDaddy is an absolutely dreadful…
GoDaddy is an absolutely dreadful company that seems to be getting worse by the day. The interface is so confusing and it is easy to be upsold and overcharged for the most basic services that cost much less elsewhere. I was overcharged on an email account package for 8 months and I was refused a refund. GoDaddy cites a 48 hour cancellation policy, which is an illegal policy and goes against consumer laws in most jurisdictions. I spent an hour on customer service chat and am not entirely sure I was even speaking to humans. In the end, I have decided to cancel all my accounts with GoDaddy and go with a competitor. Ridiculously disappointing.
Mis-sold
Mis-sold, over priced and locked in.
I got the email direct with godaddy, I did not think about it much until I tried to schedule a teams meeting with key cleint and messed it up as I did not have teams subscription. Tried buying it and it is worst than rocket science. Along the way realised, go daddy is charging me 3 times of Microsoft and providing less services I.e. only email. More frustrating for me was messing up the meeting and not being able to perform usual Word, Teams etc tasks smoothly.
Appalling, and I must say they have lost my trust. I am now researching how to migrate all the services away from Godaddy.
Horrible experience with people who are…
Horrible experience with people who are not web designers, they are order takers. No sense of balance, harmony or design. I recently took my site away from them and had it rebuilt. Now it looks terrific. Do not waste your time or money with GoDaddy
Totally appalling
GoDaddy is an absolutely appalling company. I have been missold a Wordpress website which despite assurances it would be perfect for me, doesn't do what is required. There has been no response from the customer service department, despite repeated calls.
Secondly, they have lost my customer data, I cannot download it myself because their product is faulty, and they won't send me the missing information.
Thirdly, the website randomly went offline for 4 days with no explanation, or apology.
Finally, the website will currently receive orders but is not sending out customer confirmation emails so they can't download their digital products. It has been ongoing for a week, every time I phone up I have to re-explain the problem, I've been given 3 different ticket numbers, none of which have been actioned, spent over 13 hours on the phone, and have still got nowhere.
Do not ever use GoDaddy if you value your money, sanity, and success. Total and utter shambles and I'll be filing for legal advice.
A Frustrating and Costly Experience with GoDaddy
I wish I could give GoDaddy a positive review, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. It all started when I reached out to their support team for guidance on choosing the right product. They confidently recommended a specific service, which turned out not to work for my needs. When I contacted support again, they navigated me through three different products, all of which were supposed to be the right solution—yet none of them worked.
After realizing I had spent a significant amount of money on products that didn’t function as promised, I requested a refund. It has now been 20 days, and I’m still waiting. Every time I reach out to support, I either get removed from the chat due to long wait times or I’m simply told to wait longer. Nothing happens.
This entire process has taken a toll on my mental and physical health. I already have personal struggles, and dealing with this unnecessary stress has made things even worse. I feel completely abandoned by GoDaddy’s support team, and at this point, I don’t even know if I’ll ever get my money back.
I feel extremely mistreated and deeply regret choosing GoDaddy. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service or honest support. If you value your time, money, and well-being, look elsewhere.
Web Build service - Poor effort Go Daddy!!
Go Daddy Services,
I would like to give you some direct feedback on your Web Build services.
• I am deeply disappointed with the services that I received.
The reasons for my dis-appointment are as follows:
• Your tele sales person - advised that he would be available to assist if needed, but when I sent some photos over to be included on the draft site, there was no action or response to say that he was unable to help or anything?
• I filled in all the information on the Questionnaire, twice as there seems to be no way to save the info if you can not complete the form in one go. The form takes nearly an hour to find all the info and complete. This service is supposed to help save time for the users, but wastes time not being able to save and return to a draft is a basic requirement.
• During the drafting of the website, the “Designers” – sent the first draft asking for comments, saying “they would apply anything that is possible within the limitations of our Website Building platform and that I would be informed when the revisions are done and the website goes live”.
I sent the following request to be adjusted:
• Could you please provide more diverse stock images, showing more black / brown faces, including women.
• The header font, to be the same style as the font used in the body of the document.
• I would like the a link to CPR 35 to be added:
• I would also like a link to the RICS to be added:
• In “About US” please add MRICS behind my name
• On the “Home Page” please change “explore our offering” to Explore or Services”
Finally, I sent over some photos for the gallery, these do not appear to have been included.
Despite the size of “Go Daddy” they appear to be unable to mange photos other than Jpeg.
All of the above items have been systematically ignored and have not been included on the web site.
The above have been covered by an email advising that I can “edit” the site myself, which is a thinly veiled “direction to do it myself” why could these not have been included during the build.
The whole so called web build, appears to be poor value for money and has taken far too long to be a good service.
Finally the wording on the site, feels mechanical and false, as if drafted by AI, it’s sounds life less, and has non standard grammar and that is dull to read.
Poor effort Go Daddy!!

Another bad day with Godaddy guide
Another bad day with Godaddy guide. Did they have changed something or what? The godaddy guide takes a minimum of 4~5 minutes to response in between each of their reply... I cannot handle it anymore. My previous review was also posted here and it was now almost after one year (because I still had some more time with them, as per my subscription dates), and this time they goes from bad to worse, really... Please I need to hear from other people who had recently bad experience with Godaddy.
Godaddy stolen and listed my domain for sale
I have my account on Godaddy with my domain.
After I was surprised, I got blocked; I couldn't access my account, and then I was surprised to find my domain was listed for sale by one member of the Godady team. What's this? Is this a scam or what?
I will report this as a scam. I've been working all year to rank my domain, and now I found it stolen and listed for sale at a high price.
Don’t bother with godaddy
Don’t bother with godaddy. There quite happy to take your money & that’s it! Customer service don’t know what there doing (don’t think any training is done) i decided to cancel my website & I paid upfront for my domain,I now need my DNS settings updated so I can use it somewhere else & for some reason my 2SV has stopped working & now there saying they can’t do anything about my DNS settings so now I’m stuck without no website, loss of business & I paid 9 years upfront over £300. It’s all very suspicious to me
Ineffective customer support and inflexible security protocols
I am having severe issues with GoDaddy's DNS management and customer support, which has severely impacted our company's email service. After our previous web manager removed our DNS from Cloudflare, I attempted to update it on GoDaddy. Unbeknownst to me, this change disrupted our custom email service, which depends on a functioning DNS. To make matters worse, GoDaddy's verification process repeatedly sent OTPs to our now-disabled email, trapping me in a loop. Without any prior warning, I hit the weekly limit of 5 OTP requests and am now blocked from making any changes for 7 days (!!!). As a result, our 62 staff members will be without email for 7 days! Can you imagine being without email for 7 days? What will you our clients think? This policy is excessively rigid and severely damaging to businesses. I found several similar complaints while researching this issue, so I am certainly not unique. I have contacted the Godaddy support four times so far, to no avail. My whole has been spent on this issue.
I strongly advise finding a more flexible and responsive hosting service.
I didn't find it enough

Avoid headaches and hire another company
One of the worst hosting companys that I have been work with.
Tecnical assistentance doesn't have a proper knowledge. When you have a problem the're is no ticket system, so you cannot track a problem. When you call them, you will not recieve any information or ticket, so if your problem wasn't solve or repeats, it's a new problem for them.
There're a lot of hosting solutions in the market. Avoid headaches and hire another company.
