I wish I could give something lower than 1 star. My exam did not begin until almost 3 hours after the start time. I called tech support several times and everyone was rude and very unhelpful. Do not use this company for your test. I urge you to make other arrangements.

Proctor rebooted my computer because the exam portal wouldn’t load. This cost me 40 minutes of my exam time because I couldn’t reconnect. I went back and grabbed a sibling’s laptop to complete the test, and in the middle a second proctor started yelling at me because my blank scratch paper (which was allowed in my exam) wasn’t directly in front of me. The rules for my particular exam state that talking during the exam wasn’t allowed. The constant interruptions disrupted my test taking mood and caused me to lose my train of thought multiple times. I ended the exam earlier than I should’ve because I couldn’t concentrate anymore.

If I could give them a zero I would. This proctoring service was awful and made test day a complete nightmare. I would advise anyone to bite the bullet and test at a testing location rather than use these fools for an At Home Proctor. I was scheduled to take my Praxis at home this morning. Prior to the exam time I had done my computer system check with the praxis secured browser. Everything was smooth until the proctor came on. She began adding things and downloading things to my computer. It was evident that she had no computer experience. She finally got me to the praxis ETS secured browser and put my password and test ID in. An error message popped up. Saying my computer wasn’t secure so she rebooted my computer. It took her 15 minutes to reboot the computer. She put the code in again, and now it said I could not complete the exam because the code had already been used. She proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t her fault and I needed to contact the Praxis website. All I am saying is if the proctor knew what she was doing she wouldn’t have used the code twice, or continually added and deleted items on my computer. At one point she deleted everything in my computers recycling bin. I don’t want anyone else to be in this situation. Test days are already stressful enough and to add a proctor that doesn’t know what is going on just makes things worse. Speaking from experience, avoid this proctoring service like the plague. Also the proctor was difficult to understand.

I have never written a bad review before but I'm making an exception this time. Proctoru was horrible! scheduling the exam was easy but that was about it. Day of my exam was filled with consent issues. The "techs" only seemed to know how to restart my computer because that was all they did before sending me back to a completely new proctor. After 1 and a half hours I was told my internet wasn't good enough and that I had to residual. I set it up for a week later with a different location that had better internet and a desktop in case my laptop had issues. Day of that exam was filled with even more issues and more of the same. eventually they told me my laptop was not compatible, which they should have told me last time. I tried the desktop but after a half an hour they told me that one also wouldn't work. So, I told them I would reschedule. I wasted two hours of my day on this. Eventually I switched my exam to an in-person one because I was out of options with Proctoru and they didn't seem to want to put in any effort to help me. Proctou does not care about testers and will pass you off to someone else the moment issues start to pop up. it was extremely stressful and frustrating all around. I wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy. If you have the option to avoid them, please do and spare yourself the stress and anxiety.

I signed up to take the Social Studies Praxis 5081 through ETS. Their online "test at home" partner is Proctor U. I had the app downloaded ahead of time, ran all my system diagnostics, was logged in and good to go. No proctor ever joined my session. I called ETS, who referred me to call Proctor U. Proctor U admitted no culpability or fault, told me my test window was over and had been cancelled, and that I needed to contact ETS.

This platform is the most disappointing proctoring experience I've ever had. Your team lacks professionalism and accountability. Due to your team's lack of training scores are invalidated because they are unable to properly proctor the exam. I sincerely hope that your team's performance doesn't negatively impact anyone else's scores, causing them distress.

WORST PLATFORM EVER. Out of all the times I've used this awful platform, almost every single proctor I've had has been a terrible experience. I never write reviews but this is absolutely horrible. I am stressed out enough that I have to take an exam, but I am 100 x more stressed out just by waiting for the proctor to do their part (which many dont, and so they disconnect). Furthermore, it takes an additional hour EVERY EXAM because the proctor decides to disconnect or simply just does not know what they are doing. AND they dont care that they are WASTING MY TIME AS A I WORK 3 JOBS AS A SINGLE MOM. This platform needs to get shut down. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

I am frankly shocked that an organisation of such quality is tasked to run high stake entrance exam for aspiring international medical students to Australia (ISAT by ACER). The whole process was just extremely aggravating; wasted AUD427 and 5 hours over 2 days attempting to log on and couldn't even connect to a single proctor. Was passed through numerous support agents, repeating the same steps and answering the same questions from every one of them: What computer are you using? Macbook M1. Is your internet not stable? Absolutely nothing wrong with our internet. Have you downloaded the .pkg file? Downloaded the file at least 6 times and it just wouldn't connect.

The whole experience was just horrible and beggars belief. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!

Waited 2 hours for the proctor to come online. Proctor never came online. I had to reschedule it, and the proctor didnt come online again. The amount of time and money that I spent to take this exam is unbelievable honestly. The live support wasnt helpful at all, they kept saying that it was due to my supposedly bad internet connection. However, my internet speed is 200Mbps (very fast) and I am using a Macbook Air M1- how could you blame it on my equipment when it is clearly because of your faulty system?? What a joke

Incompetent, Useless and Unprofessional

Cant call this a procter service, these invigilators are HomeOffice morons. The idea is to have a human element to the exams to spot cheating, this is an issue when its the HUMAN element that fails at the very start.
Interrupting my exam 3 times to tell me to room scan, i never moved from my position ONCE, found out that was because my proctor changed 3 times. Procter's are to be seen and NOT heard or disturb unless there is a reason for suspicion, LEAVE people to write their damn exam.

Hope this company goes out of business soon to save other students the hustle of dealing with such idiocrasy. These people are sharp as marbles.

Most of the proctors have any idea with being helpful. I lost time due to technical issues form their end. When asked for extra time they told they will add and then I didnt end up getting it. I wasn't able to finish my exam due to this. It's so stressful to keep looking at the chat and proctors change every 10mins, the new one wouldn't know or would disapprove what the old proctors have told. They made me wait 1hr post my exam and then apologized as they couldn't figure it out. I am bound to lose about 70marks because of their misguidance!

Terrible service. Invigilator kept telling me to look at the screen and keep my head up while I was writing a pen and paper exam…

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. The only thing they are great at is gaslighting. I could be on my laptop for 20 hours and it work just fine until they login to it… and then everything is wrong. They restart the computer over and over again, transfer me to technical support multiple times and then miraculously after sometimes 3 hours everything is working fine. This is the worst company to test with especially if you have test anxiety! Some days everything will be fine, but that is RARE. This is the only company my school uses I have driven hours to test instead to avoid this horrible company. DO BETTER

I would have given a zero in the review if I had the option. I got 40 mins late because the of your system.
It’s so invasive why do I have to show my room?
And why do I have to give access of my system to you ? It’s so stressful I couldn’t focus on my exam because the proctor kept interrupting and saying he would cut the exam. I couldn’t even upload my work today because of miscommunication.

Straighterline needs to stop using Proctor U. The system Is lousy and incompetent. My test was at 11:20. I was connected to 20 technicians. I stayed on line from 11:20 until 2:45. I closed out my computer at 2:50. I opened my computer back up at 5pm and they were still on my computer.

Constant wait times, no one able to help, and a total failure. I was trying to take a 35 minute exam, and have spent THREE HOURS trying to get ProctorU's tech to work. The most stressful and difficult part of testing with ProctorU is dealing with ProctorU.

If I could I would rate no star at all horrible waiting time my exam was at 2:40 and I have been waiting to connect to a proctor for over an hour yet their system says average waiting time is 5mins

This is the biggest pile of crap I have ever had to deal with. I can't understand anyone, everyone is rude, and half the time when I set up an account for someone and pay the money to schedule a test it doesn't allow me to confirm the account, and again good luck with customer service because they couldn't care less and good luck understanding them. I hate that I have to use this service and wish I never had to again.

There's No Point to improve their services. Response time is Terrible. I guess that they type 1 sentence and Coffee time for 10 minutes. I was not using two monitors and their stupid Guardian Brower detected 2 and asked me to use another computer. and something something eventually had to reschedule an exam. No more Proctor U!!!!!
