The information is excellent and very detailed. One suggestion would be to have real people converse about the standards and to review real sustainability reports that use the GRI standards as best practices and concrete examples. The computer generated voice is easy to understand, but very monotonous.

The platform is not working on Safari…

The platform is not working on Safari (at some point, I could not move forward, it all went round over and over again), and there is no indication whatsoever that Safari is not proper or the course is not Safari-friendly.

Moreover, since the course is part of a certification programme, and presumably those taking it are aware of all other GRI Standards, the first part of the course, which is charged for by GRI, is mandatory but a waste of time for whoever takes the course.

Lastly, I expect that the course is somehow up to date, i.e. not referencing information released in 2020, although there are more recent, valuable reports.

Dear Cristina,

We hope this finds you well.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. While the course maintains a satisfaction rate of around 95%, we understand that individual experiences can vary, and we value your input.

All our courses are designed to be fully compatible with all major web browsers, including Safari. If you experience any technical issues, please contact us at griacademy@globalreporting.org, and our team will be happy to assist you.

As a long-standing student of the GRI Academy, you may have noticed that many of our training courses include an overview of the GRI Standards. This overview is optional for participants already familiar with the Standards. It is included because most of our courses can also be taken as standalone courses (outside of the GRI Professional Certification Program) by learners who are not yet familiar with the GRI Standards.

Regarding the World Economic Forum report you mention, although published in 2020, it highlights risks and trends projected over the next decade, making its analysis forward-looking and relevant to the course content. We also continually review and incorporate new research as part of an ongoing process to keep our courses current and relevant.

We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve our courses. If you need further clarification, please don't hesitate to email us directly.

Kind regards,

The GRI Academy Team

My experienExcellent Learning Journey with GRI Academyce with the GRI Academy has…

My experience with the GRI Academy has been extremely positive. The training materials are well-structured, practical, and aligned with the latest GRI Standards. The platform is user-friendly, and the course content goes beyond theory to provide real-world applications, which makes it very valuable for professionals in sustainability and reporting.

The Academy team also communicates clearly and provides timely updates, making the learning process smooth and professional. I particularly appreciated the global perspective and the emphasis on ESG integration, which are both essential for today’s sustainability practitioners.

I would recommend GRI Academy to anyone looking to strengthen their expertise in sustainability reporting and align with international best practices.

Double Materiality Assessment under the ESRS

The Double Materiality Assessment under the ESRS course has relevant and up-to-date content. Although it mentions the possibility of downloading an Excel resource (which I didn't find available) and some links to supplementary resources are not useful, the teaching method is appropriate as it allows for a better understanding of the content through case analysis.
