You CAN’T contact the company!
I have been trying to contact the company since Feb 2nd and no one has replied to emails or requests I have made via their bot. It is so frustrating and didn’t used to be like this when we first had their equipment installed December 2023. What has happened?
Our battery stops discharging even though it’s almost full. This is costing us money and so much wasted time.
Zero customer support
Zero customer support - AI call centre that hangs up regardless of the question, no response to warranty claims.
🚨 The worst owner EVER 🚨
The worst owner in the UK. Sits in his so called ivory tower in Singapore to avoid TAX.
No support, no RMAs, No stock...No clue!
He should be reported to the Watchdog and Companies House.
From total satisfaction to total…
From total satisfaction to total despair!
Two years after the system working satisfactorily it has suddenly started discharging the battery as soon as charging ceases.
Despite several calls to the only contact number available for support, only an AI bot responded and no human is available to talk to for assistance. I have been allocated a ‘ticket number’ for a human to contact me within 48 hours by 3 weeks later GivEnergy have not contacted me.
The company that fitted the batteries for me are stuck with the same AI bot and lack of response to my problem.
In the meantime the system is now costing me money rather than saving me money! 😡😡😡
2 summer No battery. No contact.
4 years and the battery is dead. 2nd summer without battery.
No one answer the phone (human).
No response
No email (human)
Run away. Run away. Run away
Another 1 star review from a disgusted…
Another 1 star review from a disgusted customer. Givenergy is now going to charge for cloud access to control my system when I am away from home. My system was sold to me on the basis that I could control my system from any place at any time using the free App. If this promised free access is removed I will be seeking compensation at the same rate per month that they decide to charge. If it is worth money to have it is worth compensation if removed.
If I ran a business with this level of reviews/ratings I'd seriously be worried about its future
Well it all started so well then all of…
Well it all started so well then all of a sudden there is no readable data to understand. Support messaged twice and no reply.
I will never buy again from this company as the service level has vanished.
Solar battery fault and now no solar at…
Solar battery fault and now no solar at all, system has not been working properly for a month now I have had no response to emails, facebook just states to send an email and the phone line constandly disconnects instanlty when clicking the customer option 2. I will be seeking compesation for these delays now as I am significantly out of pocket with a faulty system that is under warranty. I would not urecommend using this companies products now with such poor customer service!
I really wish I had never come across this co.!
I really wish I had never come across this company. I have a small ish system, an S6 Inverter and a GivEnergy 5.2k battery.
Is short the battery has failed, and apparently its either a warranty fault that will cost me £360 to get an engineer out to have a look, or its dead as its turned off as its not had enough charge in it so cannot restart! What does that mean, its a solar charger, it should manage this stuff itself! I should not have to baby sit the damn thing! if its not sunny it wont get any charge.
Im exasperated. Do not buy this kit.
I have been trying to contact Givenergy…
I have been trying to contact Givenergy this morning regarding a question on battery installation by a new installer
only contact for them at the moment is phone or email
every time I have got through to the department I need option 2 installer or customer for technical information
it either rings for a long time and gets cut off or as soon as you get through it cuts off have been trying for 2 hours just get cut off
no other option available other than being an installer
contact is now almost impossible for this firm customer need a good service, and not be treated this way
I have owned their equipment personally…
I have owned their equipment personally and also installed for several clients over the past 3 years. I have found their equipment to be solid in terms of performance, and had a battery replaced under warranty for a client within 2 weeks of reporting the issue. I understand that their support response has slowed recently, however I have found that one of their representatives (Paul L) is usually available immediately on one of the forums. I hope that they are looking after Paul L and that they work on solving their support issues
Hardware is good and works however…
Hardware is good and works however whenever i have had an issue, there is no way to get support. Whether its an email, a call or a ticket raised. No response.
After receiving an email advising they are now wanting me to pay a subscription fee for something that was advertised as free for life, i thought i would leave a review.
If i had known they would do something like this and if i had known there was no customer support, i would have gone with a different brand.
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service - avoid this company. Spent £16k on batteries, but now I have a problem and its impossible to speak to someone, get stuck on AI loop, and contact email , no one ever gets back to you.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS GIVENERGY ON IT !!
customer service is almost impossible…
customer service is almost impossible to get hold of. Now they want to charge for cloud access which was shown as forever free in their marketing brochure. Nothing like spending thousands on kit to then be charged for ongoing access costs!
Just avoid - total circus of a company!
No idea how to explain how bad this company is now. They’re now trying to bring in a “subscription service” to use your inverter/batteries remotely.
Something that was sold to consumers as being a free function of the system you’ve paid thousands and thousands of pounds for.
The sheer nerve of this company is something you can see from space, they’ve all-but done away with ANY customer support now, just funnelling people to an AI bot that does nothing, and to throw salt in the wound they want you to pay to use monitor/adjust your system if you’re away from your home WiFi.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!! Utter shambles of a company.
Hidden subscription costs - avoid!
GivEnergy have just sent out an email to existing customers (i'm one - full solar and batteries) stating that the panel and battery monitoring app (that we paid for as part of the package) will be moving to a subscription model so, having already paid for it as part of the package, we get to pay for it again, monthly.
That the company behaves like this should tell you everything you need to know. If you're thinking of getting solar, i'll recommend you go with a more trustworthy, reputable company.
This company is ok until something goes…
This company is ok until something goes wrong - then no one can contact them on phone, emails stop getting replied to when tHey cant find the problem with their system that cost thousands.of £ - AVOID AT ALL COST.
I left a 1 star review a few years ago…
I left a 1 star review a few years ago warning people about this company and today I have to leave another one.
A 3 year old system is not working, the customer has been on to Giv, yet their default response as always is 'call your installer'.
The customer has a 10 year warranty, why will they pay us to come and look at something you should be fixing under your warranty? We haven't worked on a Givenergy system for over 3 years and we won't make that mistake ever again. It's clearly an inverter fault but every single time you try to blame something other than your equipment.
Givenergy is categorically the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 41 years of being on this planet. It won't be long until the fold and then the installers will be left picking up the pieces. Absolutly the scummiest company in the solar industry and thats saying something.
So why does GivEnegy suck so bad
On several occasions I have had issues with GEs support to the point where I haven’t even had replies, fortunately the installation company seem to have access to people there and have managed to get results, but that’s not why I’m writing this post. 10mins ago I received an email from GivEnergy announcing that they are withdrawing access the people’s data and system unless they connect locally when at home. If you want access to your data and system remotely, you will now have to pay for it. They are doing this for historic data, API access and other features, this is such a crap thing to do to customers, this is just the cost of doing business.
I would avoid using them for all of the above reasons, as soon as I can I will be moving to someone else, they suck, and are clearly not very forward thinking!
Terrible customer service my batteries…
Terrible customer service my batteries haven’t been connected to my solar since January 2026 emailed numerous times with no reply and you can’t call them and speak to anyone as it’s an ai assistant same thing happened jan 2025 and was lucky that my installer got in contact with them but no such luck this year avoid this company
