ZERO SUPPORT for good products

This company produces good products, and I have been using them in the last decades. Their support is really awful and a lack of respect that we do not deserve. Here's how they act: You open a support ticket (requesting information or describing a technical issue). As a customer, the ticket is related to a specific product with its serial number and supplier. Their response is always: "Thank you for emailing GIGABYTE ... Mail to rma@... Your mail content should be: Model name of the product, Serial number of the product, A detailed error description ...". You already supplied that information, but, as a good child, repeat the process. Days later, you get an email asking you to create a ticket.
That's the game. *** ZERO SUPPORT ***. Beware, they leave you in the dust.

RMA service is shocking

RMA service is shocking. Just referred me to the retailer who initially told me to speak to gigabyte in the first place which took ages to sort. Good product but just have to pray it doesn’t go wrong as the support is shocking.

Your RMA service is a JOKE

Your RMA service is a JOKE! I sent in a graphics card with severe green artifacts all over the screen that appeared in multiple PC configurations after every troubleshooting process available that does not void warranty. After paying an absurd amount just to ship you the card for inspection, your people marked the RMA Process Request as "Product test ok, no trouble found." There is no chance, period, that your technicians even LOOKED at the card, as it is 100% UNUSABLE. Ridiculously terrible customer service for a very expensive graphics card. I will NEVER be buying a GIGABYTE product ever again after this fiasco.

Top tier hardware company

Top tier hardware company. I have used their products for over a decade and always look among their hardware first. Currently have their motherboard in my x570 build and will look to them for my next PC. I have owned their motherboards, graphics cards, and even NVMe and have always been happy with their products and service. I believe I have only had a single issue with their hardware over this span and their customer service and RMA departmentment was fast and friendly. Truly the gold standard in computer parts and service.

Have a Gigabyte Auros Z390 Pro WiFi…

Have a Gigabyte Auros Z390 Pro WiFi motherboard in a custom build PC and I would legitimately drag my scrotum across a cheese grater before I ever purchase another product from Gigabyte.

Returned a motherboard to them and it…

Returned a motherboard to them and it had obviously been bent by fingers and they said they couldn’t warranty because of the condition. I sent it back in perfect condition other than the random restarts. The box was in perfect condition as well. Don’t trust them and buy MSI a much better motherboard with much better customer service.

Gigabyte is a GigaPOS

I just got off the phone with their customer service and well lets just say I'm done with Gigabyte. 2 3080 TI's in 3 years have gone bad. They were helpful the first time but this time they told me, sorry nothing we can do except out of warranty service, it shouldn't be out of warranty, they just sent it to me last April. POS cards.

I bought a pos gigabyte gaming laptop…

I bought a pos gigabyte gaming laptop for 1400 dollars. It worked fine for the first year and just past warranty the GPU died and it was basically a useless doorstop. Their customer service was none existent and only deals with warranty claims... If it's past warranty, you are out of luck. Never buy these pieces of Chinese junk! The company needs to make a good product and stand behind it, instead of the crap they currently make screwing everyone.

Customer support is simply atrocious.

Customer support is simply atrocious.
You first are forced to go through a data collection form, that collects tons of useless data for your questions.
They then take a week to get back to you.
Then, they tell me I have to contact my retailer, even though I precisely described the issue, saying my GPU had a video-output-less crypto mining BIOS. Obviously my retailer doesn't have a vBIOS to give me...

I had issues with my 3080's vBIOS, and the assistance was entirely unable to either provide me with a vBIOS file for my GPU or instructions on how to flash the vBIOS to the GPU. All i was answered is "We do not provide BIOS file" and "Use our utility".

If I wasn't a bit savvy myself, I wouldn't've been able to use my GPU with the OC vBIOS at all. Had to do it myself since their "assistance" was of absolutely no use.

The same goes for a question I had about a CPU mounting plate that i had lost, and was unable to identify. Once again, they sent me a tutorial of a random person with no more information than "Watch this, it might help you somehow".

I also had to find this plate by myself, watching tutorials I had to find myself.

Add to this the over 1week response time, the tedious process, the terrible user interface... the customer support experience is a nightmare.

Don't buy GIGABYTE if you can't handle every single problem you'll encounter.

Good, but can be improved

Pretty good company, I recently ordered a motherboard, GIGABYTE B660 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 rev 1.0. It came in excellent condition. However, the motherboard itself has slightly less structural integrity than what I was expecting, as when building the pc, I could tell the motherboard was flimsy at times. Fortunately, there were no performance mishaps and everything works perfectly! Another factor I want to point out is the horrible software design, their Gigabyte Control Centre (GCC) and RGB Fusion 2.0 (the RGB panel within GCC) barely works, not detecting my RGB RAM and AIO (NZXT Kraken 240 [Apparently Compatible with Gigabyte RGB Fusion{It isn't}]) Overall, it's a good product, but can be improved.

Horrendously unreliable, broke within 2 weeks.

Bought a brand-new Gigabyte G6, within 2 days of purchase it had bluescreened under regular use, continued to do this on and off and after 2 weeks it had died entirely and wouldn't even boot. The only good thing about these laptops is they tend to break within 30 days so you can get a full refund! If you've haven't bought one yet, DONT. If you have, refund it NOW.

Bad product and worse service.

I echo the sentiment of people saying this company has faulty products and even worse customer service. Bought a desktop from them and it has been the worst piece of crap, every 6 months another issue and 2 years to the day it is completely bricked. It has been a month and they are doing as little as they as slow as they can even though it's still within their warranty.

If I could give a zero star I would

If I could give a zero star I would. These guys are crooks and shouldn’t be able to sell their faulty products. Mine laptop screen broke in a year and when I went to get a replacement, they said that my warranty was up. (In my state, mostly everything has a 3-4 year warranty already unless it’s like a football or clothes. Basically the laptop fell under that) when we explained the LAW to them they just forwarded me to about three different “managers” and eventually I had to leave a voicemail which was never returned. On top of all of that they were incredibly rude like they were pissed that we were being super persistent. Spent $1,200 on a gaming laptop from them and I regret it everyday. (There’s also no parts for this laptop anywhere). I cannot express this enough but DO NOT buy from these scumbags you’ll be out a ton of money with no refund or reimbursement along with a trashy product.

Awful experience from an awful customer service from an awful product.

Bought a Gigabyte monitor 3 1/2 years ago. I started having a specific dimming problem from the start (13 days after purchase, new). I filled up an RMA request but never received an answer. During that time, my monitor started working and I just let it go (mistake on my part). Now 3 1/2 years later, my monitor is out-of-warranty. I tried arguing my case that a monitor shouldn't die after 3 1/2 years of regular use. I was met with a hang-up mid-convo. I tried calling back but i was stuck on position 1 in the queue for about 1 hour 20 minutes before abandoning the call.
I will purchase myself another non-Gigabyte monitor and encourage everyone to avoid that brand, fully understanding that it might affect good people working there. But a company that doesn't care about its customer should be in business period.

AVOID GIGABYTE AT ALL COST!

Monitor repaired and shipped back the same working day

My monitor stopped booting after a failed firmware update, caused by the software released by Gigabyte. So, I reached out via email and after a bit of back and forth I received the RMA form and instructions to send back the monitor for a repair.

The monitor was repaired and packaged in roughly 2 hours. I was totally blown away by the speed of repair. The overall process took 2 working days. This was above my expectations.

Gigabyte products tend to be good at the hardware level, what lets the company/brand down is the terrible software they bundle with the hardware. But given the excellent post-sale support I received, they deserve a full 5 star.

I will NEVER buy another Gigabyte product again!!!!

I bought a large $400.00 curved monitor from GIGABYTE. The picture was kind of dull and wasn't really as clear as Iwould and have seen on other monitors bedore but we decided to keep it anyway because my son was okay with it and then something happened to the screen. It got a small Crack, not sure how but it messed up the screen so I contacted Gigabytes customer service and warranty department to get it fixed. They tried to quote/charge me damn near $400. To fix the screen. Like I said above the monitor total price was $400.00 after everything so I was extremely unhappy to say the least and I said, This is what the warranty is supposed to be made for. We haven't even had the monitor for a year!!! So they had me fill a bunch of stuff out and send the monitor to them, of course I was responsible for the cost of shipping but luckily we didn't have to pay for shipping because my husband can send things for free for the most part, so I did everything asked of me and when they received the monitor and I contacted them asking about it, they did not contact me about it first! They told me the same damn thing!! They tried to charge me almost $400.00 to fix the screen and said the warranty isn't covering the screen. So I said that is what the warranty is for!!! What in the hell is a warranty good for it not the screen!?!?! Gigabyte didn't care at all. They were nonapologetic and rude!! I absolutely gave them a piece of my mind and let them know I would be leaving this review and of course the person I had the unfortunate pleasure of deslingbwith just didn't care at all. I wish I had never purchased the Gigabyte monitor and will never ever make another GIGABYTE purchase in the future. What makes it all so much worse is that I made my purchase via Best Buy and bought the protection plan and everything that goes with it and when I took the monitor to them they siad the monitor isn't included and so I said well that is BS because that is the main damn reason we bought the protection plan to begin with. So now I have a $400. Big ass broken monitor that apparently no-one is responsible for fixing.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND purchasing any GIGABYTE PRODUCTS. What is the point of having warranties and extended warranties and protection plans if these companies can just say of no we aren't responsible for covering it even though they most certainly are and they can just pick and choose what they want to cover and or not cover. It's a total rip off!
I asked before making my purchases if the monitor screens were covered and I was told oh absolutely 💯. I was lied to several times and my time and money has been wasted. Never ever again!!
