Well... I was satisfied with the service and the quick response I had to my complaint. I think they did a good job. They were efficient and fast in processing my request.

Get Pens Pot/Wild and Active - be careful
Update 8/12/24. This issue has now happened to me again with another company using the same details - wild and Active. In total so far, this company have taken over £150 (€192) from my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Please read below for details.
This service is part of a media/entertainment site (music/movies). I didn’t think a great deal of having to validate a card for purchasing a movie. I found out today that as part of the validation, you agree for the company (Get Pens Pot) to charge you every 2 weeks to “top up” your account. Well below the “submit” button, there is a pre-checked authorisation to do this. If you don’t see it (which many won’t), you won’t uncheck it and this will allow the company to take money from you. This payment is then converted to credits for you to use on the media or any of the other sites they link to (pens, torches to name a couple).
The company did however send me an email for the second payment. This alerted me to what had happened. I was careful to check this wasn’t a fishing scam and then clicked into my account to “skip” the payment I was warned about. Then I was able to live chat through my account to someone who to be fair was very good. My original payments were refunded, my account permanently closed. That person (her name was Posi) dealt with my complaint extremely efficiently, on a Saturday morning.
Overall, my experience with Get Pens Pot was actually quite scary, knowing that a company can did what they did and take money from you quite legitimately. They obviously know this and have a set up a chat line for people who want refunds as there are many more that don’t notice, therefore on balance they win.

I wanted to rent a bike in Dublin so I downloaded what I thought was Dublin Bikes app. I downloaded something that looked exactly like it but was a counterfeit app. When setting up the billing info I was immediately routed to some weird page for “Getpenspot”. They charged me a small fee and today I received an email telling me that they were downgrading my “subscription “ and charging me $25. I contacted my bank to block recurring charges and to dispute the $25 pending charge. This company is a scam.

I wanted to use some ringtones from another site which I have used with no issue in the past. I was instructed to enter my card info as the site has paid options, and it said I would not be charged unless I ordered; i have seen this before so I entered my info, right away some windows popped up of items such as earbuds etc...I selected "exit" but instead it stated "order placed" Immediately my card was charged a little over $1 from Getpenspot.com, and another from another unknown site. I immediately locked my card; they have attempted to charge each day, transactions of around $25. Any transactions on my card send me an email; however there are no emails from this or the other company! No contact info, nothing. Now I have to order a new card and change my info for all the companies I shop with.
