Warranty claims are none existant

Warranty claims are none existant. I'll never buy another Gerbing product and advise anyone to do the same.
They ignore all claims , emails and messages. Very poor customer service.
Lifetime Warranty means nothing.

Gerbing were once the go to for heated…

Gerbing were once the go to for heated clothing. Sadly no longer. Avoid at all costs. Their warranty and life time guarantee isn't worth the paper it's written on and the will ignore emails/calls/messages.

Buy Keis instead

jacket developed a fault (glove cable not powering), took 3 months to send away and return. still has the fault and now they are ignoring my emails. brilliant

I ordered a wireless dual controller…

I ordered a wireless dual controller from the Gerbing website. When I tried to connect it to my Gerbing jacket (purchased in March), it did not work. I later found out that the jacket had been shipped with an outdated dual controller that is not compatible with the wireless controller I just bought.

On Monday (10/27), I called and was told that I would be sent the updated controller (with the two buttons) and that I could return the one currently in my jacket. I was promised expedited shipping — but I never received an email confirmation, an order number, or any ETA.

On Tuesday (10/28), I started a chat session asking for an update. As of today, I still have no response. I tried again today and still nothing.

I then called customer service. No disrespect, but the representative struggled to understand me, and I struggled to understand him. What I did gather is that he could not find any order placed and only said someone would call me back — which has not happened.

If the chat option takes days for a response, what is the point of offering it? A chat feature should provide a faster way to resolve customer issues, not add more frustration. I expected better communication and customer service, especially from a company with a reputation in the motorcycle community.

Rubbish

first of all I must say some of the gear is really good, the socks and jacket work well, but the newer gloves with the controller on the cuff are rubbish, mine keep switching off, sometimes they work fine but most of the time they switch off meaning keep pulling over to switch them back on. But what really takes the biscuit is the totally crap customer service! I've been emailing someone called Jose Lago who is supposed to be customer services, he doesn't bother replying needless to say I will not be buying Gerbing stuff again. I would say don't waste your money there are alternative brands out there.

CUSTOMER SERVICE NEXT TO NONE EXISTANT

The (expensive) dual controller and remote stopped working. After 6 weeks of sending it back and waiting with lots (and lots) of emails I received a new one.
This one also packed up.
Being an electriacal engineer and not wanting to wait another 2 months I checked the wiring in the jacket. Turns out there was a short circuit on the connections for the heated gloves.
I have repaired this jacket and built a controller myself using some off the shelf connectors and PWM controllers.
I am still waiting after several weeks, many emails and absolutely no answers to the way ahead with the second controller. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"Order Unfulfilled" & No response from Gerbing Customer Serviceustomer

I ordered the Gerbing Premium Heated Jacket XXXXL on their website and having taken the money, the order remains unfulfilled. I have tried contacting Gerbing Customer Service via email (no reply), telephone (no answer) and via my account messages on their website too. As of writing this review, my order remains unfulfilled and I suspect that Gerbing do not have stock of my size. If this is the case, then they should not be accepting orders for this size on their website!

heated jacket and gloves quite…

I use my heated jacket and gloves quite a lot had them for over 2 years, recently had a problem with them, sent items back to gerbing, now back as good as they were when I bought them. Gerbing kit definitely keeps you warm.

They'll ignore you when their expensive products don't do what's advertised

My heated Defender gloves are nice when they work, but the pair of 12V battery packs are a joke.

The battery packs cost over £115 for the pair! They're advertised to last between 2 and 8 hours depending on which heat setting you use. I never see more than 1.5 hours, even on the lowest setting. This means they don't last the duration of my commute to work and back, even after a full charge.

I tried contacting Gebring 3 times via their contact form and email address over the past month. They've ignored all 3.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, when your expensive gloves fail under warranty and they replace them with a totally different pair that don't even fit then refuse to respond to any emails. disgraceful cs.

Heated gloves good. Heat controllers joke!

I've had a pair of Gebring heated gloves for several years. They've had plenty of use, most of the time not with heat and I've been very happy with them. However, the original heat controller that came with the gloves was poor quality and failed very quickly (literally fell apart). The replacement electronic Junior controller lasted about 10 hours of use and its replacement even less. I posted my review on Gerbing website (it was just factual not aggressive). Gerbing responded to me with a concerned email but when I replied there was no follow up - silence! And my review was removed. It seems that Gerbing only keep positive reviews on their website which is misleading. In contrast I've had Keis heated jacket for even more years and the controller and jacket still work perfectly.

Terrible quality

Had exactly the same problem as the previous reviewer with my Jacket, both the seams in the arms have come apart. I've sent it back to Gerbing but after 3 weeks I'm still waiting with no response.

I also have their gloves, the first pair had a chunk of plastic sewn into the lining in the index finger so they had to go back. The second pair the buckle fell apart after 3 rides.

I certainly wouldn't recommend Gerbing kit, I've had RST kit that's lasted for years. I wish I'd had bought their heated gloves instead.

Gerbing lack of quality

Received a Gerbing Microwire Pro heated premium jacket liner for 2021 Christmas. Have worn it maybe 25 times in total.
The supply to one of the gloves failed. It was the jacket not the glove.
I then turned the arms inside out to see if anything was wrong. The inside of the arms there are two types of material and they had split apart both sides.
But it is outside their 1 year manufacturers warranty, as the jacket was bought by my daughter in October Their much vaunted lifetime warranty is only on the heated mesh. they dont make that clear.
I would check your heated jackets as this is not an isolated instance I bet. I dont wear a watch so no idea why it split apart from poor manufacture. I wish I could send pics of the poor quality material and seaming work

Also bought some of their supposedly warmer gloves at the NEC show as my old ones were failing and I didnt have the receipt to send them back for their 'lifetime warranty'.
They really are no warmer than the top heat on my old ones. The controls for the heat are on the gloves, which are difficult to adjust whilst you are riding, you have to take your hand off the throttle and also you cant see the colour LEDs behind the buttons to see what setting you have them on anything brighter than a dull day.

Never had problems with Keis. Stick with them if I were you. Avoid Gerbing.

Amazing customer service

One of my 5-year old heated gloves (which are of a type which has been discontinued) recently stopped working. It turned out the website from which I bought them is no longer active, so I contacted Gerbing UK to ask if the gloves were covered by a warranty. To be honest I didn't hold out much hope, but they put me in touch with Arjan Henstra at Gerbing EU, who told me to send the gloves to him & he would see if they could be fixed. I'll spare the details, but Arjan really did go above and beyond what I'd expect any company representative to do. The gloves were quickly returned to me in full working order - all completely free of charge. Outstanding customer service from both Gerbing UK and Gerbing EU, proving to me they rightly deserve the large high ratings they repeatedly score on this site.

My almost 3 year old gloves stopped working, 1 lead had snapped, the controller was also not working correctly- I contacted Gerbing and they said send them back under warranty- they replaced the gloves and the controller FOC - the gloves had 7 more days left under the 3 year warranty- if this doesn't tell you that this on a great company then I don't think anything will. I would certainly buy other Gerbing products if I needed to replace or desired heated clothing - I don't know any other company that would replace gloves that old....and I didn't expect it either.
Gerbing you rock!!!

INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ordered a pair of XRL gloves which arrived a day after placing the order. Unfortunately I needed a size bigger, which after phoning customer service the Friday afternoon, the reordered size was promptly delivered by courier Saturday afternoon. Exceptional customer service!

Lousy customer service

Having bought some xrl heated gloves, then shortly after found a stitching fault, I sent them back under warranty, with the correct form via signed for special delivery. 2.5 weeks later, they're not responding to emails, I've heard literally nothing from them.
I've left them a 1 star review on their website, which, surprise surprise, they haven't published. Looks like £179 down the drain. If you're going to charge premium for an alleged high-end product, your customer service should match. I was considering buying the£115 battery packs for these gloves, but as I no longer appear to own a pair, that would be pointless. 0/10 for customer service

Update. After 22 days I received an apology, and 24 hours later, my gloves. They have been badly repaired, dare I say Bodged? Now I have mismatched gloves. These were not cheap, plus it cost me £8.95 to return them via special delivery......do yourself a favour, buy a pair of Rukka gloves and some cheapo heated liners from Amazon or eBay, don't waste your hard earned cash on these. And they still won't publish an honest review on their website

Incredible Customer Service

I've been using Gerbing heated clothing on my bike for over four years. In that time I've bought a heated jacket, gloves, socks and most recently trousers.

I ride all through the year, almost every day, unless snow or ice makes it impossible. Gerbing kit makes this comfortable and safe. With good modern bike kit it's possible to avoid being too cold on a bike. But with good heated gear it's possible to actually feel warm when the temperature really drops.

Recently, after over four years, a connecting lead to my jacket failed. Remember, this kit is used almost every day.... It's often cold up here in Northumberland so my Gerbing kit gets used far more than most I'd guess

I emailed Gerbing and told them the situation. They replied the same day and told me to return the jacket for inspection. 6 days later (SIX!) the jacket was back with me repaired and perfect. All covered under warranty.

Incredible customer service.
