Fantastic, fast and personal support

The support I got from the Genie agent was outstanding, particularly since I was using rather old software. As a small home computer user, I am accustomed to being very low priority, if supported at all. From the first logging of my issue, I was contacted, in a personal fashion, and given very clear instructions on what to do and report to them. I can't thank the agent enogh for giving me back sleep at nights, after worrying about lack of backups.

G Cloud Backup app — Lifetime plan and Remove Ads revoked, support refuses to restore

The affected product is the G Cloud Backup app, developed by Genie9.
I paid for the 6+6+6 GB lifetime plan and the Remove Ads add-on via Amazon Appstore. G Cloud confirmed both purchases and even restored them once in 2020. After a recent update, both features were revoked. Support refused to help, despite invoices and screenshots. Their final response: “We are unable to take any action at the moment.” This is unacceptable. Be cautious before buying anything from this developer.

Great product and great customer service.

We have been very satisfied private users of Genie9 for very many years. Recently I needed help to change a licence from a very old and failed PC to a new one. Genie9's Helpdesk was extremely fast, clear, friendly and supportive and the whole thing was completed within a few hours. First Class! UK user.

GBM and Windows 11 Pro link issue with NAS Drive

Once I got to the support team who could access my computer via TEAMVIEWER, they resolved my issues in minutes. Nobody on my IT team was able to do this.
With windows 11 pro installed, my GBM would not find my NAS drive. The support team knew the software very well and knew what menus to toggle thru to correct a setting to enable the linking of the NAS drive.

Genie Timeline 10 Home - Crashing

Had a problem with Genie Timeline crashing after running between 30-60 minutes and not backup fully.
Contacted Genie 9 with fault and they then sent me a procedure to follow but still had problem, notified them and I then sent relevant information that they had requested. I was then sent a clean copy of the software to install and said also check the antivirus software which could cause the problem (still same problem after installing new clean copy of software).
I then uninstalled Genie Timeline and Antivirus, rebooted the computer and reinstalled Timeline and ran for a few hours which worked so I then reinstalled the Antivirus and the problem appears to be totally resolved so would like to thank Robin Scott for all his help in this matter.

I had their lifetime previous account…

I had their lifetime previous account named Zoolz. Once they got their fund from all of the LTD investors; they closed all of their accounts. :(

Even they offered a plan for a yearly plan of 10% of the price they also changed that part from 2025 on which means a 75% fee increase. This was communicated dec 2024, I will be gone. Probably I will get a good SSD for an encrypted backup and provide this to my friend to keep.

taking the money but no licence keys - refund refused

I purchased 3 licenses (genie9 Backup server and home edition) but we never received any license keys. After some weeks we contacted the payment provider (2checkout.com) but they said that genie9 is responsible for delivering the keys. When we finally requested a refund after almost two months from 2checkout.com because we had already found another solution genie9 sent us the keys and refused to refund the money. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers...
