Love Gelato- almost feel I shouldn’t share this as i selfishly want to keep them as my secret ingredient for my shop. But their success will also become mine. I love the fact that fulfilment is in so many countries- it helps minimising carbon footprint- quicker delivery and personalised production. Would love to see more products on the list.

Terrible shipping
Terrible shipping. I have a webshop for phone cases (iPhone) and it took about 3-4 WEEKS for the phone cases to arrive to my costumers, this was with 10USD (78SEK) in shipping cost.
Terrible! I don’t use gelato anymore I print my phone cases in Asia and they arrive faster :-)

Continuous price hikes
On the whole the service from Gelato is good, but they keep putting up the price of the base product we are selling, without any notice. The first time, we put the price up to our customers to accommodate but as the product is a 2026 calendar we can't put the price up any more because if they order now they are not getting 12 months out of it. It feels sneaky and unfair to keep doing this and squeezing sellers' margins continuously. We're shutting the business now and this sort of practice is one of the reasons we've decided not to bother continuing.

Poor quality control unacceptable for the price
The canvas arrived incorrectly mounted, with uneven tension that causes visible distortion along the edge when hung. This is immediately noticeable and not something that should pass quality control.
To make matters worse, no stretcher bar wedges were included, meaning the canvas cannot be adjusted or properly tensioned at all. These are basic, standard components and their absence suggests the order was not checked before dispatch.
I pay a premium for canvas printing to avoid exactly this kind of issue. This finish is not professional and not suitable in its current state. Very disappointing quality for the price charged and yet another angry customer

Their website is really easy to use and create the products with your designs easily. There are some other stationary products that I wish they offered as their products, especially the stationary are excellent quality and the printing and shipping service is really fast, Packaging is good too so the products are not damaged.

New to print on demand
I'm new to print on demand but find using gelato very intuitive. I had a problem with my first order but had a response from gelato within a couple of minutes and the issue was resolved very quickly. Since then I've had customers buy my art through etsy and they have all been happy with their purchases and I've received 5 star reviews.

The print quality bad
The print quality of some of the samples that I ordered before I launched my clothing line was absolutely horrible. On top of it, there’s no way to get a hold of anybody in Customer Service, only a huge run around from one email message to another one, discontinued emails for customer service, week-long delays getting any email response from them, etc.

It was a good experience...But
It was a good experience, but a combination of user error and odd placement had my wallet twinge a bit. When going through, you can change currencies. I mistakenly changed only the product's currency, resulting in a loss of profit. I then noticed I was still receiving funds in the wrong currency, not realizing the entire adjustment needed was in the actual store in addition to the items. I feel the currency should apply your chosen country's currency by default to avoid issues like this.

Charged us but order was never process. We never received the prints and did not get a refund. I had to file for a refund with my credit card. You can't get in touch with customer service - just bots

It’s great that we can design items through Gelato, then link our stores, and Gelato automatically deals with shipping the orders. And I like that if I need to renew my old listings that were originally connected to Gelato, I like that the listings stay connected when renewed.

Unethical and not customer centric. Avoid if you can.
Clunky, bad quality and orders arrive so late that I had to refund customers. Customer care is not even taking in consideration my requests. On top of that the company is using copying other people artwork as a positive thing and I’m referring to the collaboration you’re running with Casper Capital where he invites to steal somone’s original design and replicate it with AI. This is ad ethics and toxic professionalism.
