Problem still unresolved after 1.5 years

After one and a half years I am still waiting for a solution to the accidental deposit of Wrapped Flare into my account. I can see it is still there on chain, Gate say they can return incorrect deposits for a fee (which is reasonable) but I'm still waiting to be able to remove my coins.

Hopelessness

One day, the Google authentication code stopped working, and the support was so useless that I finally lost patience with their low-quality and slow customer service. I requested the closure of my account along with my crypto balance. I definitely do not recommend using this CEX.(EDIT: Ticket #1372313) And one more thing: it wasn’t possible to withdraw funds using a different email address and KYC verification, but there was no issue with requesting account closure from a different email address. P.S.2 I was informed that there were no funds in this account, which was not true.

When exchanging cryptocurrency

When exchanging cryptocurrency, I did not specify the transfer memo (label) and the exchange through which the transfer was made froze the transfer. Having contacted technical support, I sent all the required transfer hashes and a video of these transactions from the wallet, and began to wait for the payment to be returned, after 4 months, technical support said that this video had to be repeated again because not everything was filmed on video. I sent what was required and finally the transfer came, but not to me, but to my exchange account, which, at their request, had to be connected. I told them that according to the rules, the funds must be transferred to where they came from and not to the exchange account. To withdraw these funds, verification with a passport is required, but who are they to collect personal data? They are not the police, not banks, not government agencies. Who allowed them to do this, and these millions of illegally collected personal data of users can be bought from hackers. I said that I will pass verification if I see their personal data, that is, they must send me a photo of themselves with a passport in their hands. Because the authorities always show their ID or badge first and then ask to show their ID. More than 10 days have passed but there is no answer, and it is unlikely that they will transfer these paltry 150 dollars at today's rate to my wallet. Apparently, things have become really bad for this organized group. 28.12.2024 After my review and the responses from this exchange, it seems like I'm talking to an AI bot. It always regrets and apologizes. In addition, their response "As for the transferred funds, we helped you by manually crediting them to your account as requested, and the funds were sent to the account address from which the transfer was sent" is false, the refund did not arrive to my account. Your guarantees are worthless, as are your promises. If you don't understand, then I repeat, first verify with me yourself, this is my policy. Then I'll see if it's worth doing business with you.

Scammers

Gate.io has decided to arbitrarily block my operations. My KYC was validated from the beginning and now they consider me to be in a "restricted region". After opening a ticket and sending additional documents, they replied that my verification was validated again. I still can't withdraw my funds and no one answers my emails. I informed them that my phone was stolen, and later when I got a new phone, they wanted to change my Google Authenticator and phone number, then I sent my ID, photo, everything for security.

My phone was stolen & I got no support

My phone was stolen and I requested to secure my account and disable the withdrawal and trading functions. However, on my return request to reactivate my own account I'm being put through circles of hell with multiple requests to submit pictures/videos of myself with various IDs and handwritten notes, and to submit a proof of a particular transaction from 1.5 years ago when I cannot even access my account. How am isupposed to do this? This is just awful, again and again I'm being asked for pictures/videos... how is it called customer experience and support? I feel nothing but supported in this situation, after being a loyal customer for 2+ years. I'm very disappointed in such a treatment, nobody should be put through such an ordeal and be refused access to there own account and funds!

I would really appreciate if I could have any feedback on the ticket #1420918. I have been waiting since 15 October 2024 for my ticket to be resolved while all the document requested have been submitted.

To be honest I am very disappointed by the support service of gate io. I cannot even start thinking how a platform as big as gate io can have a support service so inefficient. I am so chocked that I will not be able to use your platform any longer.

In any case I really need to recover my 10000 USDT that have been frozen from withdrawal for no reason since 15 October.

Please note that I have a gate io account since 2021 and I had no issue since 2 weeks ago. But when I see your support service I am very worried for your platform. In comparison to the competition, there is a huge gap. You should take more care of your customers and stop copy pasting your answers.

Also for your team of specialists ( if this team exists) you should employ more people because it is not normal to take such a long time to resolve simple transaction.

I submitted easily 20/30 proofs that are enough for whatever audit someone can ask. Gate.io blocked my account with $50,000 half a year ago.

Gate.io blocked my account (UID 3393310) with investors' money. Tickets are being closed (1096817 dated April 8, 2024 and 1165431 dated July 17, 2024. I was lucky that the Bitcoin rate fell and investors told me to hold these coins. But now the rate is growing again.

I deposited $3000 worth of Taiko tokens about 27 hours ago, but it still hasn’t been successfully completed. The deposit page states that "60 confirmations" are required, but the support team informed me that there are still "0 confirmations," so the deposit hasn’t been added to my account. However, the block explorer shows that there have already been 3600 block confirmations. I’m starting to feel like I may have fallen victim to a scam.

Follow up emails urgently

I purchased these funds from a seller through a cash payment, and he transferred them to me from his Metamask wallet. I have explained this countless times over the last eight months, yet I keep being asked for more details that I’ve already provided, which only seems to delay the resolution and keep my funds blocked.

Every time I reach out, I’m left waiting for an extensive amount of time to get a response. When I try chat support, I’m told to "wait," but nothing changes. This entire process has been exhausting, and I'm not sure what more I can do at this point.

Please, I urge you to resolve this issue as soon as possible. I am beyond frustrated with the repeated delays.

I am deeply disappointed with this app

I am deeply disappointed with this app. I've been logging in to the old version of the app without hitches but as soon as I updated as I was prompted to do the now app seems impossible. I can't log in even when I do the app automatically log me out. I thought that updating the app will make it more efficient and good but the reverse is the case.

Card blocked, money taken by Gate.io

I'd been using Gate.io Card without issues, then one day my card got blocked. Not only the customer support failed to explain reasons for this (their most substantial reply was: "Our KYC department has made the decision to decline your application due to security considerations and other relevant factors"), they also deducted remaining 300 EUR from my card balance without returning it to my main account. Now I've been trying to find out where this money is and when it will be returned to me by the exchange. Overall, horrible experience.
