Very pleased with the open and transparent staff. Easily set up my dedicated server. Managing game play is very easy.

I play heavily modded (300+ mods) Minecraft on a dedicated server. I moved from Shockbyte to Game Host Bros (GHB) after using Shockbyte for about 4 years. My experiences so far have been outstanding. GHB has better hardware for similar or better prices, more configuration options for the dedicated server, and some of the best customer service I've ever experienced with a tech service company.

Things that have been better:
- The control console: GHB has the usual command line console for admin purposes, but also includes displays for all aspects of server usage. The console also feels more responsive that my experience on Shockbyte.
- Server hardware: I have had zero issues with my dedicated server being unable to handle the load of running a 1.12.2 Minecraft world with over 300 mods, and some of those mods are very processor intensive. On all of my Shockbyte servers, I had lag spikes every 30 seconds or so that were just long enough to interfere with combat or any actions that required steady input on my part. This was true even on brand new worlds with modpacks that weren't nearly as big and me being the only player. My GHB server has been smooth as butter.
- GHB FTP speeds are so much better. I like to do my own setup for my servers, so while both Shockbyte and GHB offer automatic modpack installation, I do my own as the customization takes longer than a manual install. Shockbyte FTP was painfully slow and files often failed to transfer (to or from the server). GHB FTP is fast and no file has ever failed to transfer. Drive operations in general are faster too as deleting an entire, long-running dedicated server on Shockbyte usually took at least 30 minutes, while on GHB it took less than 10 (not sure how long because I walked away, lol)
- Customer service: The first time I had any issues at all was yesterday (Feb 21, 2025), and it was a network issue of some sort. I submitted a trouble ticket (it was around 8 PM Central), and quickly received a reply from the support tech Michael asking for more details and a diagnostic so they could identify the problem. I did so, and it turned out to be an Internet Service Provider problem rather than anything with the GHB servers. I would have been okay to leave the issue there as that was out of GHB control and would be resolved soon enough by the ISP. However, GHB offered to migrate my Minecraft server to a different location to see if that resolved my connectivity issue. I agreed and was moved within 15 minutes. There were no issues connecting, so now my dedicated server is running from a new location that even has slightly better hardware than the previous. I don't know that I've ever had this kind of fast and competent customer service from any other tech service company before. Michael was outstanding and certainly set the bar high.

This fast resolution was impressive, but in my case absolutely relied on available spare capacity so I know future issues may not be able to be resolved this quickly. However, I am confident they will do their best to have any issues resolved as fast as possible.

Game Host Bros is well worth taking a look at if they have what you need for your own dedicated server. Their pricing is incredibly competitive and service is top notch.

The service has just worked from day one. Only issue i had was completely on the games server name search and the support still quick and thorough. You just know the guy wanted to yell there's literally nothing we can do but he ran through options to try, reached back out to see if issue stayed ongoing and we were able to just do dumb stuff till something worked.

I was too stupid to install mods and support was able to help me very quickly!

this is the best hosting service that ive found if you ever need support you can join there discord and ask a question you will likely get a answer within 2 min, i got a palworld server and it is the best price ive found i got a great server for $9.99

Very fast response time to my questions/issues. Usually helpful but stays with me the whole time. I had Michael every time.

Our Enshrouded server runs great. I was very surprised at how quickly and easily it was setup. The tools available to manage the server are convenient and easy to use. We only run with a few players, but it runs smoothly.

The staff is very helpful. Any request I have, they go 100%. Very competitive pricing for the level of customer support you get. Other companies have a very similar price range, but no where near the level of customer service.
