I bought only a sourdough loaf to try as an alternative to the bread that I buy at the bakery in Brecknock Road.
Superb bread that I cut into three pieces, freezing two for future use

I asked on a visit today to the Kentish Town Road branch about whether Gail's bread was organic. I was told that it did not have additives/things added but was asked a number of times - robustly - what I meant by the question. The Officially Organic website's bread article seems to provide a helpful pointer on what is meant by organic bread and, looking online, Gail's is described as having a focus on sustainability but its bread is not certified as organic. That would not seem an unreasonable thing to tell customers who are interested in whether the bread is organic.
