This morning my 10-year-old went into Gail’s Dulwich Village to buy a sandwich, drink, and coffee while I parked nearby. Despite queuing politely, he was ignored by staff who served others who arrived after him—even someone who pushed ahead. He said he felt invisible.
He returned to the car in tears. When I went in, staff offered a half-hearted “sorry” and got rude with me when I asked them to take our order. They waived the coffee cost—but that’s meaningless. My son’s dignity matters far more than a free drink.
This wasn’t just bad service—it was exclusion. He was treated as if he didn’t belong. Gail’s should be ashamed of how they handled this. No child deserves to be treated this way.

Shocking to see how they’ve ruined Gail’s in Dulwich village - used to be the hub of the community and full every weekend. Now they’ve lost half of their customers by ripping out most of the seating - mind boggling!
