Great Choice for Pet insurance

We have had many dogs over the years, but has been 14 years since our last one. When we first heard of pet insurance, we thought it was a joke. However, after hearing so many horror stories about high vet costs, we decided to investigate the options. We did a lot of research, and decided on Furkin, which seemed to have a good balance of premium costs, and coverage.
So glad we did!
Five months in, Sir Humphrey Bone had to have emergency surgery. All went well, I submitted the claim, and within 7 days, we had been paid. No hassles, and all exactly as expected.

This company is amazing

This company is amazing. We recently had an unexpected vet bill of $8000! I was panicking but thankfully we received the claim payment. Our cat Teddy has recovered. He needed surgery to remove a 13" piece of plastic from his stomach. The claim was processed in less than 2 weeks. Thank you Furkin!

Best Pet Insurance

We have been Furkin members since we got out youngest Cavalier in January 2023. Unfortunately, we have had to take our puppy to the vet a few times and the claims process has been pretty straightforward. We have used other insurance companies with our other pets and it has been a nightmare on what was covered and what was not. Furkin has been crystal clear with what is covered and not increased our premiums 200-300% like other companies.

Very sneaky company

Very sneaky company. They taut themselves as being affordable and no changes with renewal regardless of claims but not only will they up the price of your instalments, but also sneakily up your deductible at renewal without any notice.
I have 3 dogs covered and all are under the age of 5 so I will be looking for a better option. A cheap instalment is not the only thing to look for as if you do the math, you’ll be paying more in the long run.

We try to be as transparent as possible so that way pet parents can make informed decisions for their families. While Furkin will never raise premium rates due to filing a claim, as outlined in our Policy, at renewal monthly premiums could increase (or decrease) due to your pet aging or inflation, which impacts the cost of veterinary care in a member’s region.

I'd give these folks a zero star if I…

I'd give these folks a zero star if I could. They were never going to reimburse any of my claims because they decided that my dogs surgery was due to pre-existing conditions when it was not. Even their explanation was a stretch. They don't want you to tell others about your experience especially if they are not customers yet. I commented on their Facebook page when someone asked real people for their experience, despite being cordial , they blocked me from their page and claimed that it was Meta that did it. I have since confirmed that was not the case. They didn't even send me an explanation until I went above their customer service to their supposed " ceo" , who then patronized me. Not a single letter was received, just pre-existing condition from people who have no medical knowledge .

When a company won't let you share your experience to potential customers and then blocks you from their page for telling the truth ( with receipts) that's all I need to know about how unethical and crooked they are.
