Nice but too long....

We like the trailer and it’s very well built. We however had to order the one we wanted. The downside to our experience was that it took about two months longer to build it.

So if you do order yours please be advised that it may take much long than you hoped for.

Poor dealer, Harrison Ford Wellington, Ohio and warranty department at factory were not as good as their word. Had trailer repaired locally at our expense

Had better

Price was decent but you get what you pay for. Bought a brand new 45' horse trailer with living quarters. Have about 15k miles on it now. Ramp door to the mid tack was not built square and is in a bind to where now it will not open. One would think a simple adjustment to the hinge would fix it but no... the hinge is welded and needs to be redone at the factory. Another hinge on an interior door broke right off the bat. One of the other exterior doors has sagged to the point where the lock will no longer engage. The trailer itself has a lot of flex and give to it to the point where if I'm parked at an angle the stall dividers will not lock or catch the slam latches. In my experience aluminum structures that give do not last so there it is. I hope this helps all the hard working people out there that need hardy equipment they can count on instead of living in and out of a repair shop

Great trailer only a couple of …

Great trailer only a couple of complaints.
Having to remove the fender is an aggravation when loading or unloading.
Ramp system on a trailer of this price range could and should be better designed.

I love this trailer and thank you to Ridge Trailers in Indiana!

I love this trailer. It is everything and more than I expected. Tows like a dream behind my truck, my horses are calm and relaxed in it, and the features on it allow me peace of mind, especially when hauling my horses. The light indicator on the fenders allows me to be sure my lights are working on the trailer at all times. Thank you, thank you, thank you for adding this on your trailers.

Love, love the saddle pad holder in the dressing room that was included on mine. I use it for other needs as well, including holding a light when I use the trailer as my camping site.

I also must thank the dealer, Ridge Trailers in Columbia City, Ind. owned by Rachel and Matt Thomas. What a fantastic business!

Rachel went way beyond in service to be sure I had what I needed for this trailer and she has continued to stay in touch. As far as we are concerned, this is one top-notch Featherlite dealership. When we finally decide to upgrade to a gooseneck, this is where we will go to look for that special trailer.

If you want special attention, no pressure purchase and someone who will stand by the product. I could not recommend Ridge Trailers more!

I love our horse trailer except for the unsafe butt/chest bars

I love our horse trailer. We bought a brand new 2017 9752 warmblood size trailer in July 2017. Our almost 17hh Belgian fits perfectly and there is plenty of headroom for him. The trailer also fit 109 bales of hay. It is very smooth hauling, is "feather light" and has an amazing suspension and brake system. Very smooth ride. My only complaint is that the chest and butt bars are not quick releasing at all. Our horse became upset and hopped over the chest bar and became high centered. There was no way to quickly release him. We had to take out the center divider to get him free, and it took two people to do this. This was VERY dangerous and could have been remedied quickly with the locking pin system in slant load trailers. Or some other quick release system. To release the bars, you have to pull it out and up out of the slot. You can't do that if the horse is leaning on it in any way. I plan to ask Featherlite for another option to secure the horse.

CALLING FOR RECALL ON TORSION ASSIST HINGE

Purchased my second Featherlite 1610 in 2013. No issues with my first trailer. Second trailer was equipped with torsion assist hinge. This part is defectively designed and is no longer installed on Featherlite trailers. The torsion spring which is located on the passenger side of ramp door puts a great deal of stress on the weld mounts and they will separate from frame causing the door to buckle and not close. It also creates a safety issue. Once compromised the door becomes unstable. I called my dealer and several others and was told this is a wide spread issue. Featherlite's initial response was they no longer use this vendor and there's no part available to fix the problem. Featherlite no longer installs this part on their trailers so one can assume it is due to the issues. The door is designed specific for this part so the part can't be removed to accommodate my ramp door. I'm having the compromised welds repaired then plan on selling the trailer. I don't feel safe with this part on my trailer and won't take the chance of the problem reoccurring. My trailer is seldom used and clearly featherlike used an untested faulty part. Initially Featherlite said there was nothing they can do. Their exact response: That item is not considered part of the structural warranty, therefore it is only covered for one year.was: I pointed out to them that I spoke to several Featherlite technicians and was told this has been a wide spread issue with many customers. I also informed Featherlite that I will initiate a class action lawsuit to launch a nationwide recall for repair and or replacement so other owners aren't stuck with this defective part. When there's a recall in the auto industry the auto makers initiate the recall efforts. They don't pass the buck onto a former parts manufacture like Featherlite did with me. Featherlite's name is on my trailer. I purchased both my trailers from Featherlite not from the company that makes the defective torsion assist hinges. Since my initial contact with Featherlite they have soften their tone and have offered to install a cable assist option. This still doesn't correct the torsion assist part. This part needs to be removed from all trailers. A call was made to the company that manufactures the torsion assist hinge from a Featherlite dealer and he was told they have not fix to the issue. Ironically this Featherlite employee stated to me his trailer is equipped with the same option and his also failed. It's time to hold Featherlight responsible. I would hate to see someone's door fall off while traveling on the freeway. It's a safety issue and will be brought to the attention of the MNDOT as well as the DOT. If you have experienced the same issue and would like more info on our class action lawsuit feel free to call: 651-330-8216

Featherlite was the best I saw!!!

I looked at ATC, Intech, Aluma and Featherlite. All were nice trailers, but Featherlite was the best value for the money. I bought the new spread axle race trailer. Pulls my GT350R and my BOSS 302S like a champ. I know it takes awhile to manufacture, but it’s worth the wait!!! Thanks

Most for the money.

When we first looked at this horse trailer we thought it would be more expensive than several other models that we liked a lot less. We were delighted to find out it was less expensive. Our opinion has not changed after purchase!

I bought the Featherlite trailer …

I bought the Featherlite trailer because it is lighter than the steel ones on the market. I personally have only hauled it once - coming home from Grass Valley - about a 4 hour drive.
We used it for the first time this past weekend hauling my dairy goats into Fair and then home again. LOVE it.
