We are sorry not to have seen the emails which you sent to the company, as more fully explained in the long email which we sent to you today.

We are not able to provide customers or prospective customers with specific medical guidance, but by way of broader background we would confirm that soya lecithins are widely used in the manufacture of dietary supplements, and in the case of Fruitflow+ Omega-3 a small amount of soya lecithins are used in the manufacture of the capsule shell as a stabiliser, required in the manufacturing process due to the presence of Omega-3 Fish Oil concentrate.

A single Fruitflow+ Omega-3 capsule weighs approximately 985mg, and each capsule contains approximately 15mg of soya lecithins in the capsule shell, which is approximately 1.5% of the overall capsule weight.

• ‘Soya-derived lecithin is an emulsifier - it is a lipid (fat) which stabilizes foods which contain water and fats, which do not normally mix. For example, lecithin stops the cocoa and cocoa butter in chocolate bars from separating. In addition, lecithin improves the texture of many foods such as chocolate and spreads, and also helps preserves some foods.

• Since lecithin is a fat, soya lecithin contains very little soya protein, and most people with soya allergy can tolerate it.’

Please also note that lecithin is considered to be an essential fat in the cells of the human body, hence soya lecithins are sold by a number of companies as a standalone dietary supplement.

In summary we would recommend please that you should check the situation with your doctor / allergist, and seek their advice as to what is most appropriate for you.

In June 2022 a patent application was filed relating to the use of Fruitflow to confer health benefits in modulating the gut microbiome of humans.
