Shocking

Only found out they had gone bust as I thought I’d order some cake samples to try. Luckily was 6 months before my wedding so I’ve managed to make other arrangements as I’d had a cake and photographer through them. Managed to get my money back through my bank but that was a faff. I even got an email from Frilys 12 weeks before asking me to pay the rest! Must be automated as none of the links work anymore. Shambles.

Got an email 6 days before my wedding…

Got an email 6 days before my wedding to say they were basically bust!! I had spoken to them the week before and reassured me all was fine. I got my money back via the bank, had to send evidence of payments and the email that they had sent me. They also kindly sent me 90%of their other brides email address too! Luckily another company stepped in amd my gran helped me cover the cost.

In absolute tears!
I had everything booked through these, all my wedding decor, photographer and cake! for it all to come crashing down! I booked these way back almost 2 years ago and payed everything off a year later and though the rest is in there hands (i only booked so in advance as we haven't got the best of income so needed the time to pay off) I recently just had a baby that required a few operations so for a bit my wedding wasn't at the front of my mind it wasn't till today i thought i get married in 2 months time and was sure i was meant to hear from this company 3 months prior to finalize plans to then find no website came on to here to read that they went bust without contacting there customers! so now im left with nothing and yet i still get married in 2 months time... im feeling so defeated right now!

We were meant to get our cake through…

We were meant to get our cake through them. Paid in full 18 months in advance. They didn’t tell us they went bust we found out by chance but it was too late to get another supplier so a family member is making our wedding cake. So shoddy

Claim back through your bank

To provide sufficient evidence of payments that were made and all correspondence along with screen shots of their auto response. I hope this helps a few others get their money back

Have just seen that they have…

Have just seen that they have permanently closed! I paid a deposit for photographs to be taken at my wedding in June and thought it was weird I had not heard anything. So not only have I lost my deposit I now need to get and pay gor a new photographer.

Wedding postponed

£600 down, had to book another company and pay out from photography table decorations the lot. No email or anything until I checked my Facebook messenger and account was closed to then be told won’t get any money back. Not good at all

Caused me so much grief

Caused me so much grief. Nearly £1800 out of pocket 7 wks before our wedding in Nov 21. I'm still disgusted that we never had any communication to let us know. I found out by a page on fb seen by my friend to say they had gone bust, tried to log into my account and found she was right.... absolutely disgusting but to find that they had change the business into the photographers name b4 it went bust and opened another business in Ashby was a massive kick in the teeth. We had to rely on handouts from family and friends and was so stressed trying to get everything sorted....I was embarrassed ... we booked the whole package and extras.... knew it was too good to be true.
You don't deserve to ever run any other company ever again!!!

I have only just found out your closed…

I have only just found out your closed permanently no email no message and I have paid in full for your service I get married in April 2022 and now have to find money to pay someone else for everything and cake which is going to be such a struggle if it wasn't bad enough prostoning my wedding 3 times due to covid and needing new bridesmaid dress and page boy as out grown you have stole my money too

I received everything I had paid for on…

I received everything I had paid for on the 27th of august. Received my pictures 2 weeks later. They send you a link to then put your email and password to then see your pictures. Over 850 pictures. I’ve been able to view them up until today. And now can’t get on the link. So that’s 850 pictures just gone !!!!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Rarely write negative reviews but this company has shown another level of low.

Not only did they happily take over £1,300 in advance of our wedding next year. They also tried to upsell their services to me around 21st September. We only found out about the insolvency when looking at their website at the off chance for centrepieces. If you've paid through debit card, recommend contacting your bank asap for a charge back. My bank supported me with this and even after getting approx. £1063 back, Frillys boutique tried to take the money again from me recently for a service they never provided, and most certainly wouldn't provide next year.

It's absolutely disgraceful what they've done and appear to still be doing to people.

On the 27th October 2021 24 hrs before my wedding I tried to log into my account to find out you had gone into Insolvency on 24th September.

Not a phone call email or anything, the last communication we had when you took all the remaining balance, was sit back and relax and we will see you on the big day!!

A fantastic lady called Becca from RHM Photography stepped in an saved the day.....for free!!! Shes going around Derbyshire picking up the pieces your horrendous company left behind.

Despicable way to treat people!

I only found out by accident that this company had filed for insolvency. Luckily we had only paid £250 deposit & as our wedding isnt until July next year we still have time to sort out replacements etc. I feel so sorry for those that were let down at such short notice. Some even on the day of their wedding! Despicable treatment from a so called reputable company. For anyone else affected just so you know. If you paid using a credit card you can make a claim back via your card company. Or if you paid with a debit card you can ask your bank to consider refunding you. Mine have agreed to so thankfully we wont be out of pocket. Also since this week it is now showing on companies house that this company has entered insolvency so this helps if you are making a claim through your bank. Also the directors of frilys are trading again with a different business in ashby de la zouch. I daresay another company that will end up ripping people off!!

Another let down!

I'm glad reading these comments I'm not the only that has been left with no contact, i can't believe they wouldnt even send us a quick message to tell us, I'm on my 4th wedding date so they were paid in full, i spoke to a insolvency helpline who advised it could take years to even get any money back and then it would be a fraction not the whole amount.

2 hours notice!!! Heartless pigs!

Was emailed 2 hours before my wedding!!! Myself and venue spoke to them the day before to check everything was okay, and was told its all fine and will be there on the day. We had the full package with them!! Absolute heartless pigs, I hope karma comes back around! However I had the most amazing, perfect day! For anyone looking for a refund contact your bank! Ours have paid us back!

Before this company went bust I had the…

Before this company went bust I had the best wedding day and they produced a lovely cake and wedding decorations but they haven’t supplied me with my photos! I want my photos and there is no way of getting in contact with them to ask for these. Absolutely appalling!
