I ordered a frame on Dec. 10th and it wasn't shipped until January 2nd. I left a message on Dec. 26th, asking if it had been shipped yet, as I wanted to cancel the order (it was to be a Christmas gift), but no one ever returned the call. It finally arrived on Jan. 8th, almost a month after the original order. The frame looks ok, but it's just a veneer, not solid burl wood as implied. Not worth the money and definitely a total disappointment. I'll probably use it, but it's not nice enough to give as a gift.
Exactly what I was looking for: They make high-quality frames with mat boards, glazing, etc., to your exact size specifications at a reasonable price. Not dirt cheap like a frame you would buy at a big-box store, but these are vastly higher quality and you have total control of sizing and frame and mat materials. And much cheaper than going to a frame store. Frame Destination is one of the few such services that offers real glass glazing in addition to acrylic options. My frame arrived in just a few days and was really well packed: plastic wrap and corner protectors, then encased in a cocoon of bubble wrap.
Thanks for reaching out! I have since used this company to frame a gorgeous original on paper and it’s stunning. I will absolutely continue to have artists send their works here, if they’re willing, and have them just show up looking like this piece did! X
