Meru 1.0
I had a mixed but very honest experience with the Meru 1.0 doll.
Starting with the positive side, I was genuinely impressed by the design and molding. Everything looks very well made, and the colors are vibrant and attractive. One thing that really stood out to me was the elasticity — I was actually surprised in a good way. I expected something more firm and compact, but it turned out to be much softer and more flexible than I thought, which was an unexpected but interesting experience.
The packaging was decent. It is not premium, but it is well done and practical. The box itself is simple, but the artwork and design on it look really nice and well made. I also appreciated the small keychain included, which was a nice touch. Shipping was fast, and I was able to track the package the entire time, which made the delivery feel reliable and transparent.
Customer service was also very good in my case. Before ordering, I had several questions and they always replied quickly with clear answers. That gave me confidence before buying. They were also generous with small extra items when I asked politely, which I appreciated.
However, there are also important downsides that I think new buyers should be aware of.
After only about three uses, I started noticing early wear. There was even a small tear forming in a stress area, despite me handling it carefully and trying to be gentle. That was honestly disappointing and made me question the durability.
I also noticed inconsistencies in the finish of the product. In some areas, the surface coating did not seem evenly applied, which caused slight color differences depending on the section and lighting.
Maintenance is another big factor that people should not underestimate. Cleaning takes a long time — often between 30 minutes and an hour or more — and it requires patience to do it properly. Drying is also very important and takes around 1 to 2 hours. On top of that, the internal absorbent rods must be used to remove moisture from inside, and they also need to be removed and dried separately. This adds even more time to the overall cleaning process.
Storage is also something to consider. The material easily attracts dust, hair, and lint, so you really need a proper place to keep it. I personally prefer putting it back in its box after it has fully dried.
Another thing worth mentioning is the noise during use. Personally, I don’t mind it at all and even find it adds to the experience, but for someone who wants something very discreet or quiet, it might not be ideal.
Overall, my experience is mixed. The product has a very good design, nice presentation details on the box, and good customer service and shipping. However, there are real concerns about durability, consistency in finish, and the amount of time required for cleaning and maintenance. I think it’s important for new buyers to know both the good and the bad before purchasing.
