A powerful application with tons of features and a very friendly/efficient support team. Overall a great experience.

Overall library is good to use. However, it would be better if apiReference is added to the documentation which would be easy for the developers to use the library efficiently. ApiReference is something that could list out all possible options for each components of the form, all customizations that could be done with the form components, accepted value options for each custom options etc.

The form.io engine is great in many ways, but here are some of the less-than-ideal parts about their product that keep me from saying 5-stars:
1) The pricing is not very flexible, and in our case, somewhat high. We only use the UI elements, form designer and pdf-filler but none of the database/resources/submissions logic, but still have to pay for them.
2) The experience between the digital vs the PDF form filling don't entirely match. Certain field types aren't available on the PDF version, like address fields.
3) Lack of typing/documentation (TS declarations or JSDocs). If you decide to use the native FormIO components on your site, there is no built-in guidance about the properties/functions you can access.
4) Inconsistency with the support team. There are some absolute superstars in their CS team (shoutout to Jordan & Remy) who understand and resolve your issue in a single shot. At other times however, I've ended up in 2-week back-n-forths with their support team only and not getting a resolution.

The engine is great - is super easy to use, very extensible, and quick to deploy. Great platform for any sort of data capture.

The technical support was very prompt, we got the answer we needed in a day. Just like they promised on their support form.
One suggestion is to display a message somewhere on the page to give user a more clear indicator that the question was submitted and that it is in the queue. I wasn't sure if my question went through and had to do multiple times. I am sure I created some trouble for support.

I tested the feature called "Truncate Multiple Spaces", and it works wonderfully! This is going to be very helpful and a time saver when we integrate into applications.

I believe that with a stronger focus on empathizing with your clients' issues and providing excellent support, coupled with a more stable product, your company has the potential to truly excel in the market.There are numerous comparable software options available, by placing a higher emphasis on these two crucial points, you have an opportunity to not only retain existing clients like me but also attract new ones.

We're self-hosted, and new to the platform. So lots of questions of varying scopes. I've been so happy with the support, the response time, and what I've personally learned.

I feel great knowing our capabilities and venturing into the uncertainty in deploying creative solutions knowing that I have a full support + leadership team that helps me solve each use-case!
