Forest Garden Reviews 

After receiving delivery of my two log stores I built one of them but it was some time before I could get round to building the other. During that time I mislaid the instructions and later discovered that I couldn't find the hardware pack for the second log store. Forest Garden have been excellent in helping me with both of these problems. Sandra was instant in dealing with both situations, several weeks apart. I can't fault them for their wonderful service.

Went above and beyond to put the delivery round the back. A lovely man who had time to stop and talk . He was o here 7.30 which meant I could go to work without worrying about the delivery .

We ordered a Beckwood 10 x 6 ft summerhouse (and wooden base) as a replacement for our summerhouse that had lasted about 20 years and was now starting to collapse. The order was made through Shedstore, which was simple enough, and included a slight discount. We received confirmation of the order from Forest Garden and details about the delivery. We had selected a specific delivery date which was honoured and we were kept informed beforehand and on the day of delivery. The delivery guys, Simran and Mark, were very pleasant and they were more than happy to place the summerhouse components at the side of our house without any fuss. Mark placed the items in order of use for us, to make things a little simpler when it came to building it. The Beckwood is a budget summerhouse, so don't expect a higher-quality product like what you might find at an upmarket garden centre.
Assembly was reasonably straight forward, although the instructions for the windows didn't really make much sense. I found it easier to download the instructions off the Forest garden website (you'll have to hunt around the website for them) so I could enlarge some of the diagrams; the diagrams on the pamphlet were quite small. None of the individual parts and bags of fixings were labelled.
I'd already prepared a plastic interlocking grid base, filled with ballast and gravel, to put the wooden base onto as I was placing the summerhouse on soft ground. The grid was cheaper to buy on eBay rather than from the retailer we bought the summerhouse from.
The wooden base was straight forward to put together, and when done forms a base of two halves. The assembly instructions suggest not screwing the two halves together, but I did. I also screwed the two halves of the summerhouse floor together, as well as to the wooden base, just to reduce any movement. On top of that I also fixed some of the other components with extra screws, as the instructions suggest only two or three screws for each part.
The summerhouse is a little bit flimsy until the roof is fitted, but even then, there's no real strength to the front of the building where the windows are, so I doubt it'll take much weight.
The windows are made from acrylic, which actually seem fine. As mentioned earlier, the instructions didn't really make sense, and fitting the windows took the longest part of the build. You are supplied with some wood for the window sills and ledges, but because one of the window frames had been miscut, the wood for that ledge was too short. I ended up getting some wood from a DIY store and replacing all the window ledges with slightly thicker pieces of wood. I did cut the ledges so they were a really snug fit in order to stay in place on their own rather than nailing them in as per the instructions, as I found this to be a bit fiddly. I also cut some extra wood for the inside of the windows - there are sills for the bottom and trim for the sides, but there is no trim for the top of the window - so the extra bit of trim was essentially to stop the acrylic from flapping around in a breeze!
We've painted the exterior and interior, as well as varnished the floor, and we're really please with the final result. We put the thing up over a weekend, so It's a fairly simple DIY task if you're capable of using a tape measure, screwdriver, drill and spirit level, and be prepared to improvise a little.
Overall, I'd be happy to purchase from Forest Garden again. The Beckwood summerhouse is good value for money - with the base and delivery it was around £950, but it is basically a shed with extra windows, so don't expect a high-quality item, but for the price we can't really complain. We'll just see how it copes in the wet and windy weather that we get in autumn and winter.

Great service from Forest Garden. I had to delay the delivery of my order by a few weeks and this was easily arranged over the phone with Kyan(?) The items that arrived were as described online. Delivery was made on time and the delivery driver Kevin was very helpful. He carried the order to the back garden and was upbeat and friendly. All round excellent service, thank you.

We purchased an arbour via b&q. The transaction was fine, the delivery by Andy L was great. Putting it together could have been easier by adding identifiers a b c etc to the individual pieces.
This is a sturdy well made addition to our garden. Sadly several pieces were bowed. This is ok as most are pulled into place by the screws but the flip up seat is visibly bowed on one side at the front which is such a shame. We are keeping it and hoping that weighting it down will straighten it.

Garry T and Jim S delivered a garden bar shed. Excellent service. Everything there and labelled well. They talked me through all the parts as they delivered them and ticked them off a list to make sure all parts were there. I live in where properties are pedestrians only so they had to carry quite a way from the car parking area at the end of the road. Very friendly and professional. Thanks boys

Really not sure how this company has so many 5stars, the 15x10 shed I ordered was delivered within a great time frame, however, the wood is very flimsy & nothing like I expected for the price. After spending a whole weekend installing it we found the roof not fit for purpose, I had no choice but to spend another £300 to rectify & make it a lot more sturdy to what it was, obviously not at all impressed.
After full completion notice the wood was more flimsy than I had initially thought with several splits, I had to therefore use some of the off cuts of wood which I had purchased extra to rectify the roof to make the shed more secure.

Phil Haywood delivered my new garden shed over the weekend and the service was excellent. Phil was friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. He ran through the contents with me and was full of advice for the actual building of the item. Top marks for an excellent delivery. Thank you!!!!

Great experience when taking a delivery of the new shed. Great experience from the date of purchase. I received frequent updates about the process and estimated delivery date with email confirming the time slot on the date it was arriving. Drivers Chris & Mark explained what every piece is for and how to get help bulding the product. In no time all of the pieces were stored nicely where I requested. Really positive experience. Highly recommended!

Ordered the shed through Shed.co.uk. I got an email with components list the same day as the order confirmation. 5 days later, they emailed to say it would be delivered 5 days later.

Graham W., the delivery driver, was very friendly and helpful, preempting my request by asking if I wanted everything carried to the garden. All sorted in rapid time.

Now all I need to do is build it 🫣

Good products at a decent price. Delivery was excellent. Phil Haywood went the extra mile (or metres) to leave the fencing exactly where I needed it. Altogether a good experience.

DO NOT BUY A FOREST GARDEN SHED!

They are sending out sheds, which they know are defective (they will tell you otherwise).

We purchased a 10x8 shed back in September 2025. We paid an additional £400 for the installation, and for that they sent out one man trying to build a 10x8 shed on his own, which he botched from start to finish. He climbed onto the roof to tack down the felt, which split from his weight and dislodged the beams. The apex panels are faulty (again I have been told that Forest Garden are aware of this, even though they are not admitting it). The floor was not fitted correctly, to a point where the panels were floating on thin air. The wood had degenerated within a matter of months, warped. The door frames were not fitted correctly, and so many other faults.

I contacted Forest Garden, showed them a video and they immediately agreed to send a replacement. What they sent was the same flawed panels. Basically, they are selling sheds which are not fit for purpose. The installers arrived today and told me that upon checking the new shed which had been delivered the apexs and panels were also defective. So they would be pulling down one faulty shed faulty and replacing it with another faulty one.

Now we have to wait for Forest Garden to contact the retailer buyshedsdirect.co.uk, to confirm a collection of 2 not fit for purpose sheds, only then will buyshedsdirect.co.uk will then issue a refund.

If you want your garden to resemble a timbers yard, buy from Forest Garden. If you want to waste many hours on the telephone, buy a Forest Garden shed.

Yes you acted very quickly. You sent out another duff shed with exactly the same issues as the original one! Your quality control is non-existent and you left my garden looking like Steptoe's junk yard. Regarding your communication, I had to chase and chase for all communication. You send out highly ambigious and confusing notifications. I can see that the poor reviews are starting to stack up. Just waiting now for the change in company name.

My review is 100% honest and nothing less than you deserve. A waste of my money and an even bigger waste of my time.

I took delivery of two wooden planters with trellis this morning. I was a worried they would be left near my front door which would have made life very awkward for me. But delivery driver Kevin was happy to take them round the back of my property and place them exactly where I wanted. Massive problem for me was averted because he was so kind and helpful. Great delivery experience.
Also he was more than willing to fix the trellis parts for me had I had a drill available. Couldn’t wish for more. It will definitely encourage me to go back to this company again.

Excellent, always sceptical when using a new online company. Fantastic communications; I got an update on delivery - delivered today when they said they would deliver. The driver who delivered it was Kevin R, and what a lovely man; nothing too much trouble and brought it round the side and into the garden. Thank you
