1 Star — Ford eBike: A $4,500 Disappointment That Ignores Its Own Customers
As a lifetime Ford customer, multi-vehicle Ford family, Ford shareholder, and brand sponsor, I had high hopes for the Ford eBike. Unfortunately, this product and the team behind it have been a profound disappointment on every level.
The Product Itself
The Bronco eBike is advertised as fitting riders up to 6 feet tall. It does not. The motocross-style banana seat is fixed — completely non-adjustable — making it impossible to achieve a proper riding position for anyone near that height. This is not a minor inconvenience. It makes efficient pedaling potentially harmful to your knees. This is a fundamental design flaw that Ford should have caught before putting their name on a $4,500 bike.
Customer Service: Non-Existent
After receiving the bike, I reached out to Ford eBike customer service "multiple" times — phone calls, voicemails, and web form submissions. No one responded. Not once. For a brand that built its legacy on customer loyalty, this is unacceptable.
The Bigger Picture
I am part of a family that has purchased multiple Ford vehicles, recently bought a Ford Bronco, and was planning to purchase 4 eBikes for our Colorado home. That will not be happening. When a committed, long-term customer and shareholder cannot get a single callback after multiple attempts, it signals that Ford's eBike division does not reflect the values Ford Motor Company was built on.
I am now pursuing a return and refund. I hope sharing this experience saves others from making the same $4,500 mistake. If you are 6 feet tall or plan to actually pedal this bike, look elsewhere.
