Had a lovely stay and stargaze!
We stayed this past weekend in the Lapwing pod. The pod was very clean. We had everything we needed provided for us which was very nice, having heating was also lovely since it has turned a bit chilly. We found the beds comfortable and all slept very well. They provided an information book about local walks and towns which was very informative and helpful, and we all enjoyed exploring the local areas and countryside on our trip.
We ordered a BBQ and Firepit pack and I would definitely recommend doing this, in fact I wish I had ordered more of the food packs. The food was very nice, I especially loved the burgers and my son says the BBQ was one of his favourite parts of the trip, it was also nice having the fire on to keep us warm while we took in the beautiful view.
The stars were very visible all through the night, myself and my son enjoyed seeing the dark skies, especially since we live in a light polluted area and rarely get to see many stars. The area itself was also very quiet and peaceful which we liked a lot.
Over all we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the site and hope to be able to visit again at some point in the future.
February stay in the Skylark Pod
We had a great 2-night stay in the Skylark Pod. The pod was well equipped and had everything we needed. The local cookies, tea, and coffee were a nice touch. A lot of places come with tea and coffee but Angela went above and beyond with the local tea (from Brighton) and coffee (roasted in East Sussex). We ordered the fire pack which was a good value as it came with enough wood and supplies for easily 2 nights. There is also an EV charger in the parking area which was an unexpected surprise. We visited in February, but the weather held out and we had a great time hiking around the downs and enjoying the peace and quiet. It was a moderately strenuous hike, but we’d recommend starting from the pod and walking up to Devil’s Dyke. Five stars all around and this will definitely be on our list of places to come back to.
Best glamping site ever
We had spent a lovely two Halloween nights over there , the manager are so friendly , he gave us two free pumpkins for our two kids. The room is clean and tidy, good size for a family of four. We would highly recommend to friends and family
Wonderful Stay
We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay here as a 60th birthday present from our children. Everything was perfect. The shepherds hut was well decorated, very clean , extremely well equipped and comfortable. Even though we went in January and the weather was very cold we were very warm with the log burner going.
We can fully recommend this fantastic place and really want to return for another break soon.

A perfect place to ‘get away from it all’. A beautiful setting with lots of things to do nearby. The pods are comfortable, cosy, well equipped and immaculately kept. I’ll definitely be returning.

Quality accommodation, ideally located, will be revisiting!
The highest quality accommodation with great attention to detail on coordinating utensils, bedding etc to the shepherd hut sheen. Very clean. Sustainable toiletries make me happy. Good amenities in the provision of bike storage, torches and wheelbarrows if required for moving luggage were all well received. The location was ideal, able to walk straight onto the Downs and to local pubs for dinner if required but also just a short drive to the sea. We will be visiting again!

Five Star Glamping at the Foot of the downs
Spent 2 nights at the Skylark pod. We were 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 11. It was our first time glamping and we loved it so so much. Angela, David and Jessica were very helpful, very warm and very accommodating, they really made our stay enjoyable. It was also nice meeting and hanging out with Marmite, Crystal and Arthur.
The accommodation was five star luxury. The bed and sofa bed was comfy. There were hand sanitizers in the pods and the bicycle sheds, they also provided torches.
The view of loads of sheep grazing by the pods was beautiful. We cooked all our meals on the fire pit and enjoyed having roasted marshmallows.
The location is ideal - close to pubs and a grocery shop - Nista. We had fun exploring the cycle/walking paths and we went to see the sunflower fields nearby.
They were 2 other nice families in the other pods and the kids had fun hanging out with the children from one family and the other family was generous in sharing their marshmallows and cookies.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the foot of the downs and looking forward to coming back in the near future.

Brilliant stay at The Foot of the Downs
We had a lovely stay at The Foot of the Downs. The setting is just beautiful and the layout of the glamping pods is well thought out and housed everything we needed for our stay. Angela was on hand to answer any queries we had. We had a great circular walk around the farm and loved the sunflowers fields and meeting the farm animals with our children. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Perfect Getaway
We have had a truly wonderful stay. Everything was perfect and Angela has thought of everything from the beautiful sunflowers and little treats on arrival to the creature comforts that have made our stay perfect. Perfect for a family to stay and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the outdoors. We enjoyed our BBQ and fire pit, everything was perfectly provided and thoroughly thought of, we toasted marshmallows and enjoyed star gazing There is so much to do and for little ones they are free to wander and enjoy the outdoors safely. We enjoyed a trip to Brighton and and afternoon playing at Devils Dyke, Washbrook was a super fun farm park nearby for my little ones. We can’t wait to come back and explore more. This is most definitely our new go to holiday.

Wonderful shepherds hut at the foot of the downs
We have just come back from a very relaxing break in a beautiful shepherds hut at the foot of the downs nr. Fulking /Edburton The accommodation was excellent, comfortable and very well equipped.Angela the host was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we also would recommend the barbecue and breakfast packs provided by her from a local butcher & wood was provided for the barbecue by the farmers David and Joe and they were very helpful with general information and directions for lovely walks around the local area and to the local pubs (10 minutes minutes and 30 minutes walk away). The site is tranquil and extremely beautiful with wonderful views of the South Downs and across the Weald of Sussex, we will definitely visit again and recommend a stay here. Thanks Tim and Maggie

Fantastic pods in a beautiful location
Fantastic location and wonderfully presented accommodation. Perfect for a stay out in the beautiful countryside but only 30 mins from local beaches and Brighton.

These pods were stunning, with everything we need for a comfortable stay. Everything worked brilliantly and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor fire pit/ bbq’s. Would love to stay here again.

Absolutely loved our few days in the pods. The location of the pods is very accessible from the car park, and there is a very convenient locked bike shed where bikes can be left safely.
The pods themselves are kitted out beautifully with all you could need tidily tucked away. The shower was great, just what you need after a windy walk up on the downs! Would also 100% recommend the firepit/bbq - we used this for our dinner and even cooked our breakfast on it! As the name suggests, the pods are superbly located for a walk on the South Downs - it’s a steep climb straight up but once you are there you have lovely views down to the sea and over Brighton.
