Unless you're down to waste some money

Unless you're down to waste some money, I was so close to signing up but something told me to see some reviews first, I noticed it was suspicious initially when I tried it and realized it just restores files already on your phone which is ideally pointless cause you need your deleted files. Do not, we people need to help eachother from scammers

Must root your phone to work properly

I bought their Andoid Data Backup and Restore and it did not completely restore my data so I contacted them. They replied that I needed to root my phone for the program to work properly. This will void my phone warranty and it is risky to perform this operation. After several emails to them asking for a refund, they keep telling me to root my phone each time.

Update 3/22/2022. It took three months to respond and they still did not address my problem. The problem is that you require me to root my phone which voids my warranty and I do not know how to do it. Your technical team has not addressed my issue. I still want a refund.

One is a normal scan mode for most situations, and the other is for data that has been deleted for a long time and has a high probability of being overwritten. picture are thumbnails and some are destroyed in the process.

This is a very bad experience. Actually this is shocking how they are allow to provide this service. The reviews were right and the restore process ruined some of my pictures. Im waiting for a refund. im not going worry about i lost 27 pounds.

Do not trust this company

The only thing I was able to recover with this software from my lost photos was the photo thumbnails. I asked FonePaw for help and they requested some additional information to solve the issue. After some time, I asked what the situation was and I received the following response (30.4.
2021):
“Hi,
They are still working on it, and please don't worry, if the issue still can't be fixed in 30 days, they will proceed the refund.

After passing the 30 days, I have asked multiple times what the situation is and I never received any response. I was shocked at how unprofessional a company this is.

Successful in the end

Re: Android Backup and Restore software. While I had a number of difficulties along the way, I was successfully able to restore data on my phone after a factory reset.
- I was not pleased that the Free Download allows one to backup but not to restore. It is not clearly advertised as a trial version and that once you have backed up, if you need to restore from that you are effectively trapped into purchasing the software. I acknowledge that certainly this is my own responsibility to find out, but transparency about it would be nice.
- For several attempts I was not able to restore data back to my phone. The software would keep freezing and crashing when trying to check the files to restore. I finally figured out that if I selected just one category of files (e.g. Contacts, Messages, etc) at a time it was able to successfully recover, though some files did fail.
- To this point, support has not been helpful. Nearly 24hrs later with only an email indicating that my request has been received, a ticket created, and a link to view the ticket that says the page could not be found.

After seeing the reviews on here, I thought there was no hope, but I was able to succeed finally. The four stars is really just to help offset all the one star reviews. Three stars would probably be better.

This didn’t work for me

This didn’t work for me, so I’m trying to uninstall it from my laptop. After 10 hours of my laptop being left alone, just trying to complete the uninstall. It hasn’t.

I’m very suspicious that this company is installing malware or suspicious stuff on my laptop since it won’t uninstall.

Everytime I try to open it, or uninstall it, my CPU % goes to 100 and my laptop has a meltdown.

Based on your description, I cannot tell which software you are using. The uninstallation of FonePaw software is no different from the uninstallation of any other software in the operation of Windows and Mac computers. It is recommended that you consult the official guide of the computer you are using to see the correct uninstall method, or you can provide relevant screenshots to consult the customer service support team of the software.

Also, usually CPU usage is related to your power plan. When you set up to take full advantage of idle resources, the CPU usage will reach 100% with most software running.

I did EVENTUALLY after 3 weeks get a refund BUT it should not take 3 weeks and the software did not work. Dreadful company stay WELL CLEAR

I can't tell from your description what software you are using. Usually a refund request requires you to provide the relevant information so that the customer service support team can confirm whether your request is applicable to the refund policy.

At the same time, FonePaw provides a free trial version for all software. Regarding system support and functional support, it is recommended that you download and install the trial version for actual confirmation. You will not be asked to pay for this process.

Save yourself time and money, don't buy Do Trans

I downloaded FonePaw Do Trans and first tried the free trial to transfer information from old android motorola phone to new android motorola phone. Followed instructions and at no time did FonePaw software recognize either phone. Bought full version and tried process again and met the same results. Use free data transfer that comes along with your phone, it is straight forward and you won't make the same mistake I did which was nothing but throwing good money down the drain. Useless product, don't waste your time or money on it and use the software on the your old/new phone.

I see the FonePaw people are ignoring…

I see the FonePaw people are ignoring me. I wonder how much you are paying all these people for all the good reviews you are getting. I feel I should be honest here and others who looking to use FonePaw not walk away from your products, but run. I have been looking at other data recovery sites which have a better rating than FonePaw. If you use FonePaw and accidently make a mistake you may as well forget getting help. Their support team will give you the run around for 2 to 8 days then stop answering e-mails and take your money leaving you around $85.00 in the hole. They have a thing about you using their free version first or they will not guarantee their product. You must look closely for their little orange box so you can use their free version.

Worst Customer Service

I had high hopes that this program would help restore all my data off a phone that got dropped and the screen went black. From the website that had FonePaw advertised, it never gave me a list of phones that they do not support. So I buy the program for $70, go through the process to try to get my data back. But when I get to the part that says to pick the type of phone, mine was not listed and I couldn't put other. So I contacted Customer Service about this and they said oh we don't support your type of phone. Its written below on what we do support and what we do not. Well this was never advertised on the site I got everything off of. For 2 months now I have been going rounds with them in trying to get my money back. Wasn't my fault it wasn't advertised correctly, maybe they shouldn't have it advertised on websites that don't follow their policies. Not backing down until I get my money back, this is bull crap.

It is NOT safe to use

It is NOT safe to use. I have had my laptop for four years plus and after installing this app, my laptop is no longer turning on. I noticed that apps were removed from my laptop and I wouldn't be surprised if this software is being used for suspicious activities.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. The software don't work even when paid. Then try to scam you for more money/software to fix their issues. No customer Service. Not worth a simple penny. Only contact with company is e mail and they do not respond. I installed it and removed the programs after 11 hours of fighting with it. I also am canceling the payment

I purchased the FonePaw Video Convertor…

I purchased the FonePaw Video Convertor and despite installing it on two separate PC's, it took over 24 hours to complete upscaling a 1080 mp4 file. Yet when I used a different program, it took way less time. When I requested support to refund my money, they refused with the explanation that event though it took 24 hours to complete, the software works, despite the fact they supposedly offer a 30 day money back offer. Terrible customer service and in addition, deceiving as well.

Android Phones do not work

Instead of the free trial I purchased the product they recommended. Unfortunately it was the wrong product and set of over 50 emails back and forth with “Emily” the rudest and most unhelpful person. This product regardless of what they saw is NOT compatible with Android phones. You will not get a refund and you will not get a manager. So I would not bother wasting your time or money on this company.

Installation and download is free but…

Installation and download is free but not the recovery. They entice you to purchase multiple products and then you end up losing money and no data recovery. I have send log files confirming that data recovery wasn’t successful yet they stopped responding to my emails. Now I have been chasing for 3 weeks to get my money because product didn’t work as they claim. It’s a fraud In my opinion and I am filing legal case here in Canada although company is located in hongkong! Don’t be another victim.

Don’t use this company

SCAM

This is a scam. I signed up for a free trial and was asked for credit card details. OK so sometimes that happens as you may want to continue after the free trial. However the banks authorisation was triggered and it halted as it possibly detected fraud. Their website then gave an option to
Cancel which I did and it directed me to a video streaming bogus website and charged my card £39. I have had to contact the fraud Dept of my bank and put a stop on my card. DO NOT be their next victim.
