My experience with The Folio Society over many years is that they always exceed expection.

I have bought many folio society books over the years, some for me and quite a few as birthday presents for my brother. The service has always been great and the quality of the books has always been outstanding.

Super fast delivery, received it in about a week despite being shipped from across the world. The book came expertly packed, very neat and safe, with no damage. Beautiful book, and it was the perfect gift for someone!

Folio Society books are unique and worth their cost.

Their only issue is shipping costs to ROW. Compared to other UK publishers/bookshops, they're currently the one with the most expensive shipping costs for a single book. So this is my feedback on what could get better.

I give them 5 stars for the customer service, which is fast and ready to help always.

This was the first time I purchased a book from Folio Society, so I didn't know what to expect.

I ordered the last Unicorn, for my self and my niece for when she's a little older.

The first thing I'll say is the packaging was immacualte. I might be weird, but I really appreciate good packaging. Especially coming from the UK, then travelling most of the way down the east coast.

Both books were wrapped in a protective plastic sheet, to avoide abrading or scuffing the slip case. Then they were wrapped in multiple layers of honeycomb paper wrap, to provide cushioning. Finally, it was placed, tightly, in a heavy cardboard box, that was triple walled on the ends.

To the books specifically, they looked really nice. Nothing seemed flimsy. From the slip case to the cover, you could feel that it would hold up over years of use or sitting on a shelf. Probably sun damage is the only risk to it.

Again, maybe me being odd, but I also appreicated the tactile feel of it. Most books are smooth paper on the cover. I've gotten others that create a tactile feel with that, by embossing or doing spot glossing. These books had texture to the cover. Being a cloth cover, that's to be expected, but it reminds me of older books. It seems like it will hold up for a long time.

So I've only made one purchase so far, but I am happy with it. I feel like the product is worth the price and I'm happy they packed it well for shipping. I'd hate it if they made a nice book that was packaged poorly and it was destroyed during shipping. Luckily that isn't the case here.

Beautifully packaged book. I look forward to rereading a beloved book from my childhood.

I've been buying Folio Society books for decades. They are beautiful books, and very well made. The art work is always incredible. Customer service is always friendly and helpful.

Beautiful volume! Book was packaged carefully to survive shipping! The box was beat up, but the book was in perfect condition -- very important because this book is a gift.

I ordered two books from Folio society. They were very expensive, and I was frustrated to have to pay for shipping on top of the high price of the items themselves. When the books arrived, they were indeed beautiful, but I felt that for the price the quality could have been better - the pages feel a bit like magazine paper and I expected to see more illustration/detail at the price level these books are at. I do like my books, but am not sure if the price is justified by the quality and added cost of shipping. In the future, I would probably only purchase at a discount.

I'll make an exception and say that these book covers and slip cases are part of the experience as much as the content of the book itself. All of which have been gorgeous thus far. I think people forget that bibliophiles are, in essence, collectors too. I also want to give credit to Marta who wrapped my books in that cardboard stuffing so many times just to insure that they'll arrive undamaged. Kudos!

I just received the most beautiful copy of The Last Unicorn, with gorgeous illustrations, paper that feels amazing and it is bound so beautifully! I could not be more happy with it! Thank you!
