Poor customer service - act disinterested in helping

Bought a new FN 2022 High Power. First time on range with factory ammo. End up with two big chips in the dark green earth finish on the slide top halfway between the ejection port and front sight. They said either bad ammo or limp wristing was the likely cause. Nothing they could do. I asked for suggestions for touching up and they said the had none. They don’t care. You would think their finish would be more durable for a $1,300 pistol. This has never happened to my other brand name 9’s. Very disappointing.

FN does not stand behind their products

I bought a FN AMERICA FN509 LS EDGE #GKS0177125 ; 9MM Semiautomatic; 66-100843 from Barnett's in Hampton Tn, they have since gone out of business. They sold the gun as new at $1392.85. Once we realized the gun was used, I contacted Barnett's who said I shouldn't have taken the gun apart to clean it!! Then told me to contact SportsSouth who sold Barnett's the gun. SportsSouth sent me to FN the manufacturer. FN says the gun is not used and sent me to our dealer. Our FFL verified, and said he would be glad to testify to that fact, that the gun is used. I wish I could attach the pictures to this review

Do NOT Trust This Company

I tried contacting FN America multiple times about the FNS "service bulletin". It took weeks to get any sort of response and, when they did, their best offer was to replace the original machined part with the skeletonized 509 striker prone to failure. Meanwhile, for slightly more, their enclosed design is sold on Midwest and clearly stated as compatible with the FNS platform.

Between this and dozens of other serious reports of horrible service/QC...I can't comprehend why our military would source anything from this company.

Absolutely horrible company

Absolutely horrible company. Bought my FN Reflex in April 2025 and put 100 rounds through it at the range. I am now experiencing a failure to feed. I’ve contacted FN for a month through email, phone calls, social media. They sent this automated message that a representative will reach out and it now been over two weeks and nothing!! God forbid I am in a life or death situation and need to defend myself but can’t because this badly made non functioning firearm is NOT reliable. People do your research before purchasing anything from FN. I am living the experience that you will NEVER hear from this company especially when it’s a horrible unreliable and piece of garbage! I gave up and boxed this horrible piece of junk and literally ate the $600! It’s not worth the worries and the stress. Go canik, smith and Wesson or Glock for reliability and protection for you and your loved ones!

Send info in 2 separate times with all that was needed. The 2024 rebate is a scam... left multiple messeges and emails. I hope someone sues them for this behavior. Had bought 2 so that's alot of money I'm suppose to get back. Rebate is a scam so don't could on it. Got rebates fine from other companies but FN one is a scam and guess trying to make their numbers look better. Well u lost a customer and anyone I talk to and show them. Hope karma comes back in end with ur lies and scams.

NEW FN HIGH POWER

I purchased a new FN HIGH POWER from Scheels $1,200 took it to the range next day and put about 200 rounds through it, I could not get through a single MAG with out multiple Malfunctions, ( JAM O MATIC ). a few stove pipes and it would never lock back after the last round. so I called FN and got a hold of customer service, C.J. he didn't really seem to care said "your using the wrong Ammo" I was using Winchester white box 124gr and CCI 115gr I have quite a few gun that have used the same ammo with no malfunctions, he suggested NATO spec ammo? he also said to "just keep shooting it and it will work its self out!? not great customer service. I took the gun back for a refund ( THANK YOU SCHEELS ) and replaced it with a CZ-75 and went back to the range next day and used the same AMMO with ZERO malfunctions!! so poor customer service coupled with poor reliability, first FN last FN!!!!

Brand new Pistol - Bag mags

I purchased a brand new FN High power on 12/12/22, I took it out shooting for the very first time on 12/25/22.. Everything was fine for the first 60 rounds. After that both of the magazines that came with the gun completely stopped locking the slide to the rear when empty and when ejecting the last round from the chamber. A friend of mine has the FN High power also and let me try his mags, Oddly enough both of his mags ran and locked to the rear for 100+ rounds no problem. I don't know if i just got a bad batch of mags or what. It is listed as covered under warranty and registered on their website but I have not been able to get any help or information at all about it. I opened a warranty case (Case # 00029796) and provided several videos and photos showing that both mags do not hold the slide open when empty as they should. I paid just over twelve hundred bucks only for both of the mags to not operate properly. I went to a rather large gun shop hoping to find a spare mag and they didn't have any but they expressed interest in the FN High power stating that they have not seen one in person and asked If I would be willing to let them shoot it on their range after the holidays so they could see how they liked it so they could then place orders with FN for their shop. I have not taken the gun to them yet since both magazines do not function the way they should and letting them test it out with faulty mags is not the right thing to do as the gun is in perfect order It's just the magazines that are bad. I have opened a warranty case and sent several emails and have not heard anything at all back. That's pretty rough when you spend well over a grand on a firearm, get 2 bad magazines and zero customer support help or information. I will be updating/revsing this review if/when I hear anything back.

I recently purchased a new pistol

I recently purchased a new pistol made by FN America. The pistol had a couple of missing pieces. I contacted the seller, who immediately contacted FN, who then reached out to me, and they are now rectifying the issue.

FN makes top quality weapons, and stand behind them. That's the type of service that will get me to return. Thank you FN!
