I had a really pleasant experience at flu camp.its located quite close to Aldgate East station so is easy to get to. The facilities are clean and the staff friendly and informative. I was compensated well financially during the trial and the health checks they did were actual useful and helped to catch an underlying issue I had.
Scheduled visits and call follow-ups were easy to deal with.
5* for cleanliness, helpful staff and beverages.
2* for asking for medical advice on the phone. After leaving 2 requests with receptionists and 1 voicemail to report my GP visit and new medication being prescribed, there were no call back or any other communication via email or SMS. My health issue has been reported on next face to face visit in the clinic.
Overall 4*

Bad professionals
I had a very bad experience in this place. First, I had my screening appointment with a Brazilian Doctor who looked at my electrocardiogram, asked me a couple of questions but did not examine me, and he said that if the blood tests came back fine I was ready to go. This looked rushed and careless to me, but I decided to wait and see. I was later called to confirm I could start the trial, so I made arrangements to take time-off work and with my sister coming from York to look after my children when I was admitted in the Unit. On the second day after being admitted, another Doctor came and told me there was a problem with my electrocardiogram since my screening and I could not stay in the trial, so I was discharged. A complete waste of time, I wonder why they didn't see this problem at the beginning and waited two days to get this reviewed. I see others say their experiences were very good but I cannot say the same and I do not recommend this place at all. Not good professionals.

Weird phone call
I was really interested in being a part of this after much research so submitted an application. A man just rang me to see if I was still interested but he was rude, short, and dismissive and I don’t really know why he was that way with me. I would never want to be a part of something like this if the people working there are so cold. I got a bad feeling definitely.

All round great experience!!
All round great experience!!! Stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely recommend. Staff were all really friendly, room was good size with amazing floor to ceiling window view of Canary Wharf. Food was great for the most part and they had vegetarian/vegan options for each meal and menu changed every day which helped keep it interesting. IT was a great excuse to do absolutely nothing for 2 weeks and feel no guilt!

Excellent experience overall.
Excellent experience overall.
The staff were fantastic—professional, kind, and always approachable. A special shoutout to Anna, the lovely kitchen/snack lady, whose kindness, good humour, and daily chats really brightened my stay. She made everyone feel welcome and looked after. Thank you all!

Tough but worth it
It wasn't an easy two weeks but overall it went really well. Physically I was lucky and didn't have many symptoms but mentally it can be tough and feel very lonely.
The staff were always absolutely lovely, very attentive and friendly. A special call out for Anna who was amazing to chat with as well as ensuring I was very well fed, snacks always stocked up and my kitchen orders properly received. Would definitely do it again.

I had a great experience at Flu Camp
I had a great experience at Flu Camp a few weeks ago.
The screening process went smoothly for me. It did take around 5 months from my initial screening until I was in quarantine, which sounds like a long time, but I wasn't in a rush—just don't expect things to happen instantaneously!
The room was comfortable enough, and the view was amazing. I think I would struggle in a room without windows, but that's a risk you take.
Food was great, always plenty of options to pick from. And Anna was so lovely and kept the snacks topped up.
Staff were really friendly and considerate. There were several different tests throughout the day, so you never really feel isolated.
Time went quite quickly for me. I brought in enough to occupy myself. Would definitely recommend bringing earplugs and an eyemask though!
Will hopefully do a trial again in the future.

My experience at flu camp was well…
My experience at flu camp was well organised, efficient, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Overall I felt as though it was professional and well organised. I got quite lucky with my room as I had a great view with a floor to ceiling window and lots of daylight. I also didn't suffer from many strong symptoms during my trial so I can't speak for everyone. Would definitely recommend!

I just finished the full 14 day stay
I just finished the full 14 day stay. I have already been recommending it to my friends who could benefit from the extra cash. All of the staff were very nice. They knew I was a bit iffy with blood but they put me at ease straight away.
The food was really flavoursome and nutritious. I ate everything that was put in front of me, even the mushrooms which I despise. The only criticism I have is that
there's not enough! Haha, I know that they have to align the meals with recommended daily caloric intake. Meal time turned out to be my favourite time of the day.
For my round, there was a high threshold. You had to be super healthy to be recruited. Maybe I would be writing a completely different review if I was sent home on the 1st day. To give yourself the best chance to being accepted, you should practice some self-control and adhere to flu camp guidelines in the lead up to attending the camp.
Although the view from my room's window was incredible, it wasn't too nice seeing people having fun in the sun at the weekends. I missed exercising but going into the routine of doing some gentle stretches each day. Almost all of my toiletries were taken off me- I believe this was unnecessary. The flu camp staff took the stance of 'better safe than sorry' but I think a better stance would have been 'we will double, triple check for you, if these toiletries are permitted. Also, in the run up to be recruiting, as a prospective participant, it is sometimes left up to you to chase up where your application is up to. Flu camp should keep participants in the loop at all times.
Overall, a very positive experience. I'm glad to be out of quarantine now but I would do it again in the future.

Lovely people, lovely building, lovely food, lovely pay-check!
Lovely people, lovely building, lovely food, lovely pay-check! It’s honestly a rather pleasant experience as long as you’re someone who can entertain themselves for two weeks or so.

Great experience at flu camp
Really great experience at flu camp. This was the easiest money I’ve ever made. The private rooms with ensuite are very comfortable, equipped with a smart TV and PS5. All of the staff are very friendly and accomodating, a big thank you to them. The food is nutritious and tasty, and you have access to (decaf) tea and coffee, and snacks whenever you wish. I will be returning in future.

Great experience
Great experience!
I’m on day 10 of 15 of my clinical trial and I honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. The room is great with a good shower, air con and big smart tv (and ps5 which I haven’t used yet). Bed is a hospital bed so can’t say it’s the comfiest but it does the job! Plenty of space in the room, never once felt claustrophobic. Lucky to have a room with a beautiful view over Canary Wharf and London.
The food is honestly so good! Not had one meal yet where I’ve not enjoyed it. Loads of choice for all three meals. Snacks are on tap but they are quite boring after a while, that’s because I’m a chocoholic though and you can’t have chocolate in here :(
All of the staff have been so lovely, making you feel comfortable at all times and always checking in to see how you are.
In terms of boredom, I haven’t been bored once. I brought jigsaws, books, colouring and I work from home so work through the day which has massively helped! Bring enough to keep you occupied. Also my advice would be to bring some home comforts. I brought my fluffy blanket and pillow and I’m so glad I did!!
The only downside I experienced was having my toiletries took off me the first day and not getting them back until late the second day, meaning I couldn’t shower or brush my teeth for nearly 36 hours :(
Overall had a great experience and looking forward to signing up for another one!!

I have just come to the end of my first…
I have just come to the end of my first trial and have been looked after so exceptionably well by all of the medical and catering staff. The rooms are pristine and have everything you could need in there. The food is honestly delicious and there is lots of variety and they cater to any specific dietary requirements. Special mention to Anna who has constantly checked on me to ask if there’s anything I need to make my stay more comfortable and to top up my snack pile :)
