Excellent flowers and service
After many years of marriage, I woke up on the 7th of March to what can only be described as a domestic cold front moving rapidly through the house.
You know the one.
Silence.
One-word answers.
Cupboards closing slightly harder than necessary.
Which meant only one thing… I had apparently done something wrong.
The problem was, I had absolutely no idea what.
So began the long-running marital game show called “Guess What You’ve Done Wrong.”
Was it an anniversary? Nooooo.
A birthday? Nooooo.
Some historic milestone like “the first time we shared a garlic bread in 1998”? Also nooooo.
Despite several investigative attempts, I was getting nowhere fast. After encountering multiple slammed doors and the conversational equivalent of tumbleweed, I did what many husbands before me have done…
I waved the white flag.
Time for emergency measures.
Living in Penketh, I rang The Flower Rooms and asked if they could deliver a bouquet in water. The staff were brilliant, the price was very reasonable, and the flowers were delivered very quickly before 1.30pm.
I suspect the staff have rescued many confused husbands over the years, and on this particular Saturday, they rescued me too.
The flowers were beautiful, the mood lifted, peace returned to the household, and what could have been a very long day turned into a pleasant and peaceful evening.
So a big thank you to the team at The Flower Rooms for the excellent service, the lovely bouquet, and for quite possibly saving my weekend.
I will definitely be using them again — probably for Mother’s Day.
And just in case you’re wondering…
No.
I still never found out what I’d done wrong.
