Able to track peoples location VIA license plate.

Able to track peoples location, could lead to facial tracking. Basically gets rid of personal anonymity in public. Also issues like for example a Milwaukee Police Officer was caught using the system to track someone he was in love with. Everytime I see one get cut down or vandalized, thats what makes me happy.

Mass surveillance. They know where you live and where you go every day.

Flock Safety is in the business of installing public survellance cameras all over the country and selling the generated information to private citizens, corporations, data firms, and police enforcement. This data tracks the movement of every vehicle driving on public and private roads, everywhere, so anyone can track everywhere you've ever been. Their data is stored insecurely and has been accessed by third parties multiple times. There are likely tens of them in your town, possibly hundreds depending on the size of your population. I pass by at least six every day, because they have them set up on the side streets and highway entrance/exit going to my village. Incredible breach of privacy against the consent of American citizens. Horrible company with an evil purpose and little oversight. Pray for their shutdown, or at least petition to your city to shut them down, and search "Flock Camera Map" on google to track where they're installed near you. You might not be able to avoid them.

Unethical

Australia has them. I had a car crash into my house and take off. The police arrived and I gave them a vague explanation of the car, I couldn't see plates. He showed me his iPad with multiple cars fitting the description. I told him which one looked like it, he clicked the picture and then it displayed about 50 photos of the vehicle's whereabouts in the previous few days. They do this for every single car on the road. Scary really.

If there were an option to give zero…

If there were an option to give zero stars, Flock would deserve it. It's genuinely the worst company I've encountered. Half of the cameras I got permission to use have become locked. The company was good from about September 2023 to March 2025, but I've heard they got rid of all their competent employees. Since then, the quality has declined significantly. Honestly, it’s the worst experience I've had with any company, and I believe they should have gone bankrupt about four years ago.

Poor quality video cameras

Poor quality video cameras. Our neighborhood installed a video camera in June 2024. Yesterday, June 19, 2025 the camera feed was down - this time it was up only nine days before failing. When the original camera went down was offline for 2 months before being replaced. The second camera soon went down and took over a month to be replaced. Our cost for this camera is $4,000/yr and it was down 25% of the time. To date no credit for down time has been approved. Have requested second year cost be comped for our aggravation. LPR cameras work fine. I think company is growing too fast and are focused on big city/county government contracts. Us little guys are at back of line for support. Better deals on the market for video cameras.

Predatory billing practices

Predatory billing practices. Sent 30 and 60 day notices to the incorrect party then demanded an "auto renewed" 2 year contract for ~$10k because we didn't know to give a 30 termination notice.

Stay away/ Crooks.

Stay away, Worthless. Takes pictures of license plates for 4000.00 a year. In 2 years I've paid $8700.00. It's not live. A 300.00 video camera system from Harbor freight is 100% better at catching anything. 4000.00 dollar a year, ridiculous! Its not live and doesn't even have night vision. These cameras are trash. 4000.00 a year wasted and they wont give you a refund. They will lie to you. Don't do it. Save your money for something else. My purchase/mistake is money in your pocket.

A resolve would be a refund and take your $4700.00 useless cameras with you. What a rip off.

Profoundly Immoral Company

Profoundly immoral company that provides governments with the means to violate citizens' Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable searches and seizures, through the use of license plate scanners that record even innocent individuals' license plate, color and manufacturer of car, last visit to area, and more.

The company is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is run by a Caucasian male named "Garrett Langley".

Company Trustworthiness Rating: 1/5.
