I am very sad writing this review as I know TAP like all airlines are going through the toughest time, emotionally and financially.
When a TAP flight is cancelled with a few days notice (covid is around a while now) it is unacceptable and indeed against EU consumer law, NOT to offer a full cash refund. There is only a mandatory ‘voucher option’ on the TAP website..

Can I say this has been the worst airline that I have had the displeasure to deal with.
Having booked my flight for April 2020 and having cancelled it in January that same year they refused to refund my ticket which was Business Class and fully refundable as per my booking conditions.
Being both the Passenger and Travel Agent, I was shocked at being told “COVID is slowing our refund process down and tou will be refunded shortly”.....sadly that excuse does not work 14 months after I cancelled my booking.
I was finally able to receive my refund through the CHARGEBACK scheme, and my card issuer has been more than fantastic.
Get your confirmation or a refund from them, then take it to your card issuer!
I will not be using them again, and I will be taking my business with them to other more helpful airlines in the future.
Why don't close this company. It's scam
This company even don't deserve one star score. Horrible experience with them, I lost my money. I don't understand how they are still operating. Maybe with all money they took as a scam company.
They don't clean the Airplane properly
They don't clean the airplane. Not a pleasant experience.
The Airplane is visibly dirty. I do not believe that they make any effort to clean the airplane.

Terrible company
Terrible company. We booked flights in Oct 2019 for travel in August 2020. TAP cancelled in June 2020 (pandemic) but didn’t tell me, I found out by logging on to check my booking. I immediately requested a refund. 2 weeks later they booked us on different flights (despite refund request) and I’m still waiting for my refund 8 months later. I ask TAP for it weekly and have tried aviation ADR. Nothing. Disgusted

Avoid this airline! Flights booked Jan 2020 for travel August 2020. They cancelled in June 2020 and have been waiting for a refund since. Keep being told it’s being processed, then finally in December they said it was done and to check with my bank. 2 weeks later still nothing, so called and was told it could take 40 days to appear!! Filed a complaint on their website, all they say is sorry we haven’t been able to process your refund, no explanation at all!

I bought this ticket on January 1 from airtkt costing me $476.
On February15 I received an email from Airportugal cancellation of the said trip.I request a refund they told me I should contact the agent for a refund, I contacted the agent for a refund . They told me they don't have power on refund so I should contact the airline.when I did , they said I should contact the airtkt for refund.To date no refund, scamming innocent people to enrich themselves.Guys beware of buying ticket from airtkt,they posted cheap tickets online to entice customers and dupe them.
8 months and still waiting for a refund
Flights to/from Porto 1 & 5 June 2020 cancelled by airline on 26 May 2020 due to pandemic. Since that date I have been attempting to get my money back (about £350). After numerous (lengthy) phone calls, several emails and 4 complaints via the TAP website hadn't produced a refund I involved the ADR Aviation service and on 14 Oct 2020 TAP confirmed that a refund would be made within 30 business days. The complaint files on the TAP website were marked "Completed". 4 months later I have still not received a refund and have lodged a further 5 complaints and sent numerous emails without success. I am aware that many others are in the same position and I just do not understand how the national airline of Portugal is able to get away with such appalling service nor why the industry governing body/authority has not taken action. I will never use this airline again. NB I had to give 1 star to be able to write this review otherwise it would be 0 stars.

Booked a flight in Jan for the whole family and flight was cancelled without any notification. Called their customer services to get a refund, but they kept referring back to the agent, even though the agent was unresponsive and it’s the airlines responsibility, in the end got my money back through the bank a year later. I will never book with TAP again.

When I contacted them they answered me : "You have to speak with your "on line" travel agency". It means: "I wash my hands".

Not answering any of my tickets or…
Not answering any of my tickets or emails from MONTHS ago. Their customer service phone line does not answer the phone. I called a help number (because it was the only other number I could find ANYWHERE to actually speak to someone) and they told me I need to talk to customer service. Meanwhile the customer service line doesn't answer. I have two flights booked which I could not make because of COVID. They credited me one but not the other??? The help line said they couldn't credit me the other because it wasn't cancelled, although I sent a ticket in 3 weeks before the flight requesting a cancellation and a refund with an explanation as to why. I am so upset. I am a student paying for my own degree and cannot afford to just throw money out the window and they do not seem to care. All I want is a credit at this point and they will not answer me or help me whatsoever. Terrible service, I will not be giving up on this credit process and will be documenting all of my future interactions with this company as well.
No information over phone, no answer on email, no refund
I booked a round trip from Vienna to Lisbon for September 2020. TAP cancelled our flights due to covid and rebooked them, both without any notification. I called them on the 23rd of July (waited 25 minutes in the line for the answer) to ask for a refund as we didn't want to travel due to covid and the cancelations. They said, the refund will take a maximum of 60 days. The 60 days passed by of course without receiving the refund so I called them again and waited another 30 minutes till they answered the phone. They were only able to confirm that my refund request is under progress, but they could not give me any further information. I wrote an email asking for an immediate refund, of course no answer...we will definitely fly to Portugal once the pandemic is over, but one thing I sure can tell, NEVER EVER again with TAP.
Paid 310 €, got vouchers for 90 €
We booked flights from Hamburg to Lisbon via travelstart.de. Contacted the Airline concerning the Corona-situation and received vouchers over 90€ - but we paid 311€. On their website they advertise with the following - which is definitely not correct: "For tickets issued (...) also have access to more flexibility and can take advantage of a free change." That "free change" costs 221€!
