This website help me alot, from a florist, baker and make up artist. Trusted website for sure. I dont have any problem at all. I would recommend this flayr to everyone! This made my day easy, in organising everything. A huge thank you ☺️

This website is very user friendly and I like you can see a bunch of client results images attached to the MUA. It did take me over 10 requests for me to have an artist accept my hair and makeup job, and it wasn’t cheap! I found out after the artist had driven almost two hours for the job which surprised me because i thought putting a location in would generate a local artist. My artist arrived almost an hour early because of the daylight savings change and I wasn’t ready for them (still wrangling the kids to be fed and entertained while I was going to busy).
The communication on this website is not good. It took a long time and many messages to eventually get a message response, and to be honest I think I text her first before and got a response that way before she noticed my messages on the site, so I’m not sure the artists get notified easily through it.

My makeup and hair was good and I was happy with the service in the end. It took 4 days to get all the hairspray out of my hair.

Loved Vicki.. she was fantastic, experience and taken a interest what I wanted... my make was light but as I don't wear much makeup it lasted the night.. as for my hair she listened and went beyond my imagination and done an incredible job.. which lasted the whole night also. Unlike the bridal party who went elsewhere didn't last before the actual wedding. A big thankyou to Vicky from Flayr.. I will highly recommend you

I’m beyond disappointed with my experience using Flayr, and I strongly urge anyone planning for an important event — especially something as significant as a wedding — to steer clear of this platform.

Let me start with the only positive: the website is user-friendly and allows you to input preferences, makeup inspo, skin conditions, and preferred brands. That’s where the good experience ended — and quickly spiraled into a frustrating and frankly unacceptable ordeal.

After paying my deposit and choosing a makeup artist, I reached out immediately to confirm all the critical details — time, date, and location — and to ask a few follow-up questions. Flayr claims that their artists respond within 24 hours. Mine? Completely unresponsive for over FOUR DAYS. Only after I escalated to customer support did she bother to reply — clearly nudged by them.

You'd think things would improve after that — they did not. Communication continued to be one-sided. Despite booking over FOUR months in advance, my messages were ignored. At that point, I completely lost confidence in the artist and decided I couldn’t trust her to show up, let alone be reliable on such an important day. The last thing I wanted was to be chasing her through Flayr support on the morning of my wedding.

So, I requested a refund. And here’s where things went from bad to worse.

Not only was I refused a refund, I was offered a credit, but it gets worse. The credit can’t even be fully used at checkout. You can only apply a portion of it and are still expected to pay the difference. So now, even though I want nothing to do with Flayr anymore, I’m being forced to continue using the platform just to get any value out of the money they took, while continuing to spend more money than they deserve.

To say this feels exploitative is an understatement. This company clearly does not prioritize customer experience, transparency, or accountability. I would’ve been happy to use the credit on a different artist or even gift it to someone else — but Flayr has made that nearly impossible.

This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel misled, ignored, and trapped.

DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE. AVOID FLAYR AT ALL COSTS.

My experience with Flayr was amazing! I only thought about booking hair and makeup the day before my event while driving to work. At a traffic light, I quickly sent a request, and by the time I arrived, my booking was already confirmed—so convenient!

The Flayr app is amazing! The people I have organised for hair and makeup never disappoint. This service makes getting ready for special occasions so easy. All I do is wash my hair the night before and wait for them to arrive. Everyone should use Flayr!

flayr app was really quick and easy to use. Able to find makeup artists you can trust based on the community reviews. Creates transparency in prices and services and makes it easy to confirm availability of artists.would recommend the app. I was able to get an artist who did a great job in creating a 1920’s look for a birthday event

Flayr made it so easy to find, compare and book a travelling hair stylist! The prices were clear and up front, and each profile full of photos and reviews, so you can choose with confidence.

It was the first time putting my trust in an online platform instead of going with recommendations from my friends. Flayr is user-friendly and provides adequate information and transparency about its artists. I was happy with the process and the prompt communication between the platform, myself and the hair/make up artist that I chose.

APPALLED!
0 stars from me. One day out from my formal my makeup artist decides to check the address. I have this booked for three months and only now is she checking the details. Not only did she tell me that Brisbane was a suburb but told me Sandgate wasn't in Brisbane. She told me that I could go to Darra 40 minutes away, come to her and get my makeup done. I didn't have time to go to Darra because its my formal day. She was going to charge me $1000 extra to drive 40 minutes to my house when the makeup service itself was $180. I booked for a travelling makeup artist but she pulled out at the last minute because she was too lazy to drive to me, even after I offered to pay her fuel money. I paid a $40 deposit for this service which i asked for a refund as she pulled out, but was denied by refunds and told i could use it on another artist in the site. $40 is a lot for a casual employed high school student and they told me the only way to get it back was to book through their website again and pay for another artist. This is a scam, we wll be boycotting Flayr. Lets rise together to cancel this website. #wehateflayr #givememy$40back #neverreccomendingyouto anyoneagain

Great experience using Flayr to book a makeup artist at short notice. The selection of artists recommended to me met the criteria I requested perfectly, & the communication regarding availability was prompt & most helpful. I was very happy with the results & experience with the artist I booked. Highly recommend!

Very easy to use and quick

I’d never used Flayr before but needed a hair and make up artist at short notice. Flayr had a great selection of artists available and the booking process is so easy with clear instructions. The more info you can give your MUA, the better/easier for them to manage expectations.
I can’t speak to cancellation policy as I didn’t require this service. I was very happy with the service provided by the MUA.
I’d use this service again.

Using Flayr made it so easy to find the perfect hair and makeup artist for me. Would highly reccommend.
