My children have been going to Flagship for 8 years now. In the last couple of years the school has went down. I still feel my kids are in a safe environment but the school is not as clean as it used to be. It seems as if the staff do not have as much control over the children as they used to. The children even seem to be more rowdy.

I love the way the teachers take pride in their jobs and communicate with the parents about your child with good and not so good reports..... The school is well organized with safety, drop offs and pick ups of all children! A+ in my book

The school offers nothing for inner city students. They need more than the basics (basketball, cheer track). The school also needs a latchkey program. My three sons stand outside from the time school let's out until 4:00, because there aren't any transportation services offered for school students, in that area. The area is horrible! !! EVERYDAY someone gets shot, murdered, kidnapped, etc. I want my children safe. Unlike most families my husband and I work long hours and our family live out of town and on the east side of detroit. We don't have anyone to rely on. How do we say we are truly helping the families if we aren't making it convient for them to get to work, school, etc. Some parents have to be at work as early as 6:30am. I have tried car pool, and the parent quit after the first week because of car problems. I have been a parent at flagship since it opened. This has been the worst 3years. The standard is gone.

Love the school, the teachers and principal are the best

The school is great for learning. They provide a curriculum that caters to each student. My children feel safe and secure. I love that they have a discipline program that gets to the bottom of a situations. Instead of just kicking the students out for 3 days and come back to school to the same situation.
