The Technician they sent to me was not experienced
The Technician struggled with putting together my metal gazebo. I had concerns and communicated them with FixTman. The response was that the Technician was experienced and done over 100 of them. After missed appointments by the Tech, the work was finally completed. It was close to dark when I went with the Tech to look at the gazebo. It looked ok at the time. The next day I was cleaning up the boxes the gazebo came in and found bags of various parts, then realized there were several areas where bolts and other parts were not installed, and some installed incorrectly. The roof was in a bind and the missing bolts would not go in. Extra holes had been drilled. Later realized the metal support legs were buried in the dirt to level it out and it started sinking when it rained. Long story short, had friends help me take it almost fully apart and put it back together correctly. One suggestion for improvement would be to properly vet Technicians.

The handymen were quick but scheduling was slow
The handymen were quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. UPDATE: I loved the technicians. Scheduling is another matter. It took 2 weeks of constant reminding to get them to schedule the techs to come back to finish the job.

Find your own handyman! Do not use fixtman
Find your own handyman, these guys are the middleman, they are unprofessional and DO NOT VET the people they send out to do the job.
They sent technicians who had no clue how to follow directions for a pre-drilled all parts labeled gazebo. They NEVER showed up on time or even on the day they said they would. They used clearly labeled parts in the wrong place, and drilled holes where they should not , voiding our warranty. Fixtman take bids and goes with the cheapest one without knowing if they can even do the job! We now have to hire someone to take this apart and reassemble it correctly!

Avoid these people at all costs
This is hands down the most unprofessional, incompetent group we’ve ever dealt with. We paid for a swingset and “professional installation” — what we got was chaos. The installer showed up completely clueless, dumped hundreds of parts all over our yard, and cobbled it together in a way that was flat-out unsafe. No cleanup, trash everywhere, and despite coming back six different times it’s still not right.
They’ve managed to scratch multiple pieces, which are now rusting, and the mess of boxes they promised to haul away are still sitting there. To top it off, someone showed up at my daughter’s house today, where the swingset is, and started yelling at her — unbelievably unprofessional behavior.
Avoid these people at all costs. They don’t know what they’re doing, they don’t stand by their word, and they treat customers with zero respect.
