My car had to have body work done and my vehicle was taken away for repairs and I was instantly given a courtesy car. I had been very upset as my car had been damaged through no fault of my own and I have an elderly dependant so I was stressing about how I could care for him. A beautiful lady called Elaine kept me calm and gave me reassuring advice. Once my vehicle was ready I returned the courtesy car and my own car was brought to me gleaming inside and out. Again, I dealt with wonderful staff at reception and a young lady talked me through the repairs to my own car. I can honestly say it was lovely to be met with such smiley people when collecting my own car. Great customer service and a beautiful looking fully repaired wee car. Delighted.

From initial booking to delivery of the finished / fixed car.

Twice they fixed side door on wav and twice it has been shoddy work. Door handle is loose and alignment on door is wrong. There are also strike marks from a grinder on inside of windscreen and footprints on seats, oily hand marks on ceiling and walls. Then tried to blame it on someone else. Bunch of cowboys.

I had my vehicle repaired through Fix Auto via my insurance company, Admiral Insurance (Claim Ref: 2001997066). Unfortunately, the standard of work and service provided was completely unacceptable.
The repairs carried out were incomplete and defective, particularly on the C-post panel. Due to their poor workmanship, the vehicle failed to meet acceptable standards, forcing me to pay out-of-pocket for additional corrective repairs just to make the car roadworthy and MOT-approved.
To make matters worse, Fix Auto attempted to pass on unauthorized and disputed charges for a courtesy car/tyres (£422.62) directly to me, despite this entire job being managed under an active insurance claim. When the vehicle was returned at the end of its lease, inspection defects directly linked to their incomplete repair work resulted in end-of-contract penalty charges from the finance company.
This entire experience has caused significant stress and financial inconvenience. The workmanship is substandard, and their billing practices are wholly unreasonable. I have escalated this matter formally to the Financial Ombudsman Service. I strongly advise others to avoid using Fix Auto for insurance repairs.
