Asked for a logo from a seller
Asked for a logo from a seller, got an adapted Google image, seller did not even try to follow brief. Said I'd like to cancel as I wasn't going to pay £70 for a google image. Next thing i know the money left my account, this violates fivvers own terms that payment will not be made unless happy with the finished result! The seller then ghosted me. Fivvers support was useless, so I filed with paypal, because of this fivver locked my account! They are scam artists, how they are still going amazes me! Just look at all these reviews! I'm still in talk with paypal, my bank and looking into reporting these further! Fivver needs taking down.

Update: Fiverr Still Ignoring My Legitimate Questions – No Support for Sellers
Update: Fiverr Still Ignoring My Legitimate Questions – No Support for Sellers
After Fiverr unfairly disabled my account, I tried every possible way to explain my side. I’ve contacted support multiple times and even received a response from a supervisor. But when I asked some basic and honest questions, they completely stopped replying.
Here’s what I asked them:
What proof do you require from me to clear my name?
How can I prove to you that I had no link to any fake order?
You can check the orders—I delivered exactly what the client requested.
If the orders were fake, why didn’t Fiverr cancel them in the first place?
Why wasn’t the buyer held accountable? Why is it always the seller who suffers?
How is a seller supposed to know if an order is real or fake?
I never got an answer to any of these questions.
Fiverr talks about supporting freelancers, but in reality, they give no protection to sellers. I spent 8 years building my profile, worked hard, and followed all the rules. My gig was already ranking on the first page, so I had no reason to fake anything.
Still, my account was banned without warning or a fair investigation, and now they’ve gone silent when I ask valid questions. If you’re a seller on Fiverr, be warned—they can disable your account at any time, and you won’t get a chance to explain.

No customer protection.
It is important to understand that not all contractors are bad or scammers. However, when this does occur, no matter how much evidence you have Fiverr will not reimburse you they will only frustrate you until you give up its actually a little bit crazy how they handle your complaint.
They will continuously change customer service reps with each email reply you send then ask for new or already sent proof prior to them, after 9 emails back-and-forth, i became extremely frustrated with sending the same evidence. My evidence included the initial email asking what I needed to be done along with the contractors reply, saying it was never asked for
and then finally, I sent evidence that the issue was fixed and I was charged by another contractor from a different site.
They still asked for more proof including snapshots of when my sight was not working. How would I have that if it was fixed. With each of my answers, they looked for another way around it by searching for tasks that were nearly impossible at that point.Being, you cannot go back in time. Save yourself hassle. There's plenty of other reputable companies
Be Aware a lot of Scammers on here
The amount of scammers on this site is unbelievable especially in the crypto section where they all have different IDs but work as a team. A lot of positive reviews are obviously false especially with new businesses as dates of the reviews are all within days or weeks of each other. Can’t believe Fiverr does not monitor this. I just got scammed for a lot of money which was partly my fault for trusting the company, but had the reviews been verified I could have avoided this.
How the Fiverr scam works.
How the Fiverr scam works.
There is no customer service, you cannot give an opinion about the developers, they are already rated by the company and have protection from it. When I say they are all scammers, I mean everyone who works for Fiverr. They are a well-organized mafia and they all follow the same protocol. They all ask for crypto coins to buy supposed APIs without any guarantee obviously. The trick is to hook you once with some crypto shipment and then continue extorting until you give up. I say this from experience, one scammed me, another almost scammed me and the last 7 could not do anything. They are all there to steal money. Do not make shipments in advance. Always ask to use PayPal with buyer protection, (do not send via PayPal to friends and family) and you will see the result. They are all developers of ponzi schemes.
Fiverr is A scammer platform
In my opinion, Fiverr is a scammer platform that takes advantage of freelancers. It operates on its own terms, and its rules can change at any time without any valid reason. Even if you have great skills, there’s no guarantee that you will benefit from them because Fiverr’s system is unfair and ruthless.
Many people have spent months building their profiles, only to have their accounts restricted or banned without any clear explanation. The customer support is also of no help, as they only provide generic responses instead of real solutions. If you are serious about freelancing and want to invest your time and effort wisely, it’s better to explore other platforms or work directly with clients.

Beaware of Fiverr’s Unfair Policies and Lack of Support
I am extremely disappointed with Fiverr’s handling of my account restriction. My account was disabled without warning for what Fiverr claims is a violation of their policies. The issue arose because I used my display name, "Azlan Khan," to request an authority letter from a client. This was not an intentional violation but a standard part of my communication with the client.
I submitted an appeal five times, clearly explaining that this was a misunderstanding and not a deliberate breach of the rules. Yet, Fiverr has ignored my appeals and refused to provide a clear explanation or resolution. Instead of offering a warning or an opportunity to address the issue, they disabled my account outright, cutting off my livelihood without any fair consideration.
Fiverr’s lack of transparency, communication, and fairness in handling such matters is unacceptable. Their policies seem more focused on penalizing users harshly rather than providing proper support or guidance. Freelancers invest significant time and effort into building their profiles and delivering high-quality work on this platform, only to be treated unfairly without due process.
I urge Fiverr to reconsider their approach to account restrictions and appeals. Freelancers deserve warnings and clear communication before facing such drastic measures. I would caution others to think carefully before relying on Fiverr, as their policies can be arbitrarily enforced without recourse.

My experience with freelancer Makena Gowon ("Blessing Sales") through Fiverr was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. I paid $1,899 for a package of affiliate marketing services on ClickBank, which included email marketing, UGC advertisements, custom landing pages, and a comprehensive marketing strategy. Unfortunately, none of these services were delivered.
Instead of what was agreed upon, I only received ready-made funnels and a landing page, over which I have no ownership or management rights. The Aweber and GetResponse accounts created for my campaign remained inactive, with only my email present. The freelancer claimed she was using her personal account without providing any proof.
What’s most concerning is that Fiverr appears to take no responsibility for allowing users to be misled by inadequate or unreliable freelancers. Communication with the freelancer completely ceased, and her promises of a refund turned out to be false. It is frustrating to find that the platform does not provide sufficient protection for its customers.
This partnership was a complete scam, and I demand a refund of my $1,899, which has not been acknowledged by the freelancer. I urge everyone to be cautious and avoid this freelancer, as my experience with both her and the Fiverr platform was extremely negative.
Customer service cannot be faulted in…
Customer service cannot be faulted in my experience. Fiverr needs to work on their screening process for freelancers… there are way too many scammers on the platform. Please please do your research and if it seems to good of a deal to be true then it is! Especially if you’re dealing with anyone from India and Pakistan. Show your evidence and get them removed!!!! That being said, Felix (Fiverr Customer Support) has twice assisted me with my claim and I have been refunded in full. Unfortunately I cannot undo the damage done by the freelancer and that is really annoying but I should have done my due diligence and trusted my gut.. idk.. it sucks a lot but at least I got my money back and the understanding of Fiverr. Please double check everything… go for freelancers from Europe or the USA and avoid anyone from India and Middle East unless they have hundreds of positive reviews.. I hope the quality of freelancers improves but if you genuinely have a case then Fiverr will not leave you stranded. Thank you Felix! Your help is very much appreciated.
My success score it's 4 , even I have only 5 star reviews
Because the people didn't communicate with me exactly their expectations , I was Naive (YES) and I had to cancel the orders .
Because of that my SUCCESS SCORE it's 4 . No matter who hard I tried to explain Fiverr that it was an accident , they didn't accept
I believe this platform it's GOOD for gaining more customers , but you need to pay very much attention
I give 1 for their Costumer service and lack of RESPONSABILITY
worst platform ever on internet
worst platform ever on internet. they always listen buyers side not any freelancers site. even buyer whenever wants their money they just refund it from freelancers. isn't it bad? like we work 5-7 days and if suddenly buyer wants to cancel the order the support team just cancel the order and buyer has some extra facility that now they can revies us also. how shit site it is
Review from a Freelancer perspective
I have been using Fiverr for more than 3 years, and have also used other platforms like Upwork to be able provide a just comparison about what Fiverr lacks currently.
1. The platform favours Buyers than it does for Freelancers, to a great extent
Buyers are provided tons of opportunities to make adjustments, revisions, changes etc. for the gig they purchase. This often leads to a freelancer requiring to slog over defined scopes to satisfy the buyer even though they are done with revision quota or timelines. Meaning a buyer has flexibility to toy around with over asking from the initially defined scope, while if you mark a resolution to that the investigation process can put a dent on your performance metrics because of delays
2. Very long settlement periods for freelancers
With advancement in technologies and cutting edge solutions, I don’t see a need to lock earnings from a completed gig for more than 2 weeks. This is utter nonsense as I can give a good example of this. Say you engage with a buyer, define a task for 7 days to complete and buyer makes payment to Fiverr to place order. Now, you do the work for 7 days and the buyer is happy to mark the order complete and leave a good review. After ~14 days Fiverr releases the amount and the money takes another 2-3 working days for partners like PayPal to drop into your account. It’s almost a month after which you actually receive the amount into your bank from when the buyer makes the payment to Fiverr.
3. It’s high time that the 20% commission is reviewed
What’s pathetic is that long term and performing freelancers do not get rewarded by the platform. Upwork rewards recurring engagements by slashing the % take on every repeat engagement after certain threshold of income. It starts from 20 and then reduces to 10 and then 5 (to my recollection). Fiver sticks to a flat 20% even though you have recurring purchases from buyers, and they don’t care about that and continue taking their flat cut no matter what.
4. Performance metrics for freelancers are sub-par
To keep up with the best performance metrics for your profile, you need to always be bringing in revenue without a break. If there’s even a seasonal pause to orders coming in towards you, Fiverr don’t care and they penalise for that as well. This is pathetic given that the platform competitions have increased substantially in the market.
Fiverr stole my payment and closed my account without warning.
Fiverr stole my payment and closed my account without warning.
Fiverr disabled my freelancer selling account without warning or reason. They don’t reply to support request emails and it’s impossible to speak to anyone there. They hold payments for 14 days after you have completed a job, and they closed my account the day after the job was completed, so basically I have worked for free and fiverr have stolen my wages.
This site is NOT SAFE for selling freelance services, as Fiverr can close your account without warning at any moment, and there is no way to recover your earnings.

I was Scammed
I was Scammed. You have a 14 day window to leave feedback. I wasnt aware of this. Freelancer told me i have to wait 8 weeks to see any change from SEO work. After 8 weeks nothing had changed from the work he had done - all AI generated, it had zero impact. I wanted to leave feedback but was refused. Freelancer misled me to wait 8 weeks so I would miss the 14 day
I contacted Customer Services and had only cut and paste responses saying i had missed the 14 day window to leave feedback. Awful Awful customer services. Very focused on taking money and nothing else. Avoid. full of scammers
