I have been going to this gym for some time now. It's not the best but far from the worst. It's cheap and open 24/7 on the weekdays. They could benefit from feedback since many of the machines are still broken even after servicing.

I like the trainer who used to be a trainer at another gym- Craig and when I signed up he quickly gave me a nutrient. I didn't sign up for both, but appreciate the proactive connection. I like the women's only weight where you can work out without feeling intimidated on the floor. I like the cinema treadmills. My only concern is the hidden fees, so far so good.

This gym has a strong partnership with a personal training program that takes your credit card info and sends you to collections if you try to cancel. Great business plan Mr. CEO.

The gym is large and equipment is always busy. This review is for the personal training program they partner with called Elevate Fitness Coaching. My gym mate and I canceled our gym memberships today most unfortunately, because the training program was a lie. The trainer who met with us for the free consultation they brag about on their website was a kid not of legal drinking age. He lied about the length of the sessions, the fact that there is no cancellation policy, and that they'd hook you up with nutrition plans, and a dedicated workout based on all your hopes you shared in the hour-long discussion. I had another person there to witness everything that was promised. Lies. I found out at my first session. I was asked to wait for the trainer and I waited 2 weeks for my first appointment. Come to find out you are penalized if you cancel after 3 days, and you will have to pay 25% of your 12-month term.

I actually saw that kid again and he apologized for lying and shook my hand. Said he'd talk to his VP boss. You can guess what big fat anything came of that.

The agreement says you have to email this address for cancellations meanwhile it's some Zen help desk person and they stop answering you once they realize it's an escalated situation. I asked for a cancellation. I'm peacefully relinquishing the 16 collective sessions I have paid for that I am forfeiting. That is a lot of money. At this point, I am asking that they stop billing me and finalize my cancellation without fee due to their lying and unethical sales approach. It's gross, I know, but they didn't respond to that other than to say sorry, they acknowledge the date I submitted my request, and someone will get back to me. It's been 2 months. It's been 68 days since I made that submission and their billing agency has informed us we will go to collections unless we make another payment. You can laugh. These guys are a joke. But hey, Fitness Connection washes their hands of it because it's through their partner, Elevate Fitness Coaching.

Do yourself a favor and try Fitness Crunch, Planet Fitness, or pilates instead of these scammers. I'm a business owner too, and I can say with confidence, if your Partner scams your customers and you do nothing about it- so do you. Thanks for nothing Fitness Connection you are a disgrace to everything Texas stands for.

They have all 1 star reviews on TrustPilot- no idea why they are at 2.3 stars. Get real people, it's 2025 you can't expect people to continue a business arrangement on lies.

This gym capitalizes on your dreams to be fit and takes your money. Do NOT use their personal training service called Elevate Fitness Coaching!

They use an outsourced coaching service, they come in to basically manage the gym's local trainers and come up with a sales pitch that they train their team on to sell personal training packages. This outsourced company is called "Elevate Fitness Coaching." In order to have personal training, you transact with this company and all your "Support" (irony) is handled through the email they provide on your agreement. This keeps the gym free and clear of disputes or any responsibility to you when it comes to personal training. Unfortunately for us, the sales person they had the night I scheduled my personal training consultation is a 20-year-old named Hunter Buckman. I trusted what he was saying was in my best interest. My partner and I met with him for 2 hours, each of us providing our deep intentions and motivations for the program. I only signed up for Fitness Connection in order to have personal training.

The sales trainer lied so unbelievably because he is a very charismatic kid, and they didn't actually schedule my first training session until 6 days later, that it took me 6 days to figure it out.

The big lies:
- He said the training sessions are 1 hour.
- He said there was no cancellation fee.
- He said you can pause your membership at any time for as many times as you want. This was an important factor to us because we often have to leave for travel and I would not have signed up to the gym or the personal training program if I knew it was a One Time pause that you still pay for on the back end of your term length, and you pay a fee to freeze it.

The little lies:
- As a part of your personal training benefit, your trainer will come up with a nutrition plan that meets your fitness goals - as discussed with Hunter Buckman.
- You will leverage a portal to work with your trainer and reference your plan and goals there.
- They did not tell us there would be a registration fee charged on top of our training sessions either. I saw this charge on our credit card statement later.
- After a very deep dive, we were asked, "when are you ready to get started!?" We both said right now. We were charged for our respective plans immediately and told our trainer would reach out to schedule the first session. For me, that session was scheduled 6 days after. For my partner, it was scheduled 2 weeks later.*** This is important later.

After my first training session, I learned the sessions are 30 mins, my trainer had no idea about any portal or nutrition planning, and that freezing is a one-time option, for a fee, that extends your term length.

I messaged Elevate's Support email as per the agreement stating "cancellation requests must be submitted to this email..." They responded initially to say they will get back to me. Once I followed up to say I am concerned you are letting too much time lapse and my account will try to renew - she responded, and I have this in writing from Elevate, to say they will honor the original date my cancellation request was submitted. Since then, I have not heard from their support desk and it has been over two full months since I submitted my cancellation request.

We let our credit card companies know about their fraudulent activity. This does not stop their billing department from reaching out to us. How funny that the people outsourced (yup, a third company) to collect payment are real humans! When you speak with them, they tell you they have nothing to do with the membership and you have to keep emailing Elevate support. The billing folks told me they can see that I've made many attempts to reach the company but their hands are tied. They told me that both of our accounts will be sent to Collections unless I make another payment or the people ignoring me, acknowledge my cancellation request and change the status. Otherwise they will keep calling and eventually send us to collections

I have never seen a business show so much lack of regard for their clients. I have tried emailing the various emails that come in asking for updated payment - ClubReady, Elevate, Tech Ridge, etc. - explaining to all of them that I was messaged by Elevate Support saying they would honor the date of my cancellation request AND leadership would reach out. No one has reached out. I have been emailing them for over two months.

When I saw Hunter at the gym, he had already heard something was wrong and we talked. I find it interesting my Support contact got to his ears, but no one has the business conduct to reach out. He apologized to me for being deceptive, it seemed sincere; said he would personally see to it his boss wraps up our cancellation request. Since that convo, he avoided me a few subsequent times and then left to train his sales method at other gym locations.

I have anxiety from waiting. I've lost sleep and all motivation to work out. I am tremendously disheartened by my experience.

I had to give 1 star because that's the lowest I could go

I had to give 1 star because that's the lowest it allows me to go. An employee, female, signed my 16 year old son up with a membership around Feb 2021 by changing his year of birth by 2 years to make him old enough to sign a contract. She changed it because it's against their policy. Um, excuse me, it's AGAINST THE LAW for a minor to enter into a contract and adults know this, minors DO NOT, they're just kids and don't know any better which is why it's ILLEGAL!!!!! Oh, they didn't even ask to see his ID, why, because he doesn't have one, not even a school ID and if he did have a school ID, it would've said that he was a junior in high school which then should prompt her to ask for a different ID. He tried canceling it since he never even went after that and couldn't so that's when me, his mother, got involved. I called and spoke to customer service, got it canceled and the representative couldn't believe what happened. She stated to me that in order to get my money back (because minors can't even get their own bank accounts), she told me that I needed to take it up with the manager of the actual location that the membership started from. I called, the guy that answered the phone agrued with me about it and told me that he knew and read everything that was signed, no minor/child knows what all of that means, and that it wasn't illegal. I called back after I stated that I was on my way to talk to a manager because with traffic and the distance, I wouldn't make it in time and I got one. The manager I spoke to was named George and I explained everything, he seemed helpful and stated that the money would be returned from day one and that it would be canceled but call him back after the weekend to make sure everything went through unless he contacted me first. Called, was "busy" so I left a message for him to call me, nothing, called another time, "busy" so I left a message for him to call me, nothing again. My son called me from school and told me that they took more money out of his account today, so I called back today 01/04/2022 and nobody answered the phone, hung up and called to get customer service again. She wanted proof of his age by submitting his birth certificate, so I did and she stated that she was submitting it but her/the manager was in a meeting and that she would call me back this afternoon. Guess what, it's after 6pm and NOTHING!!! Shocked? NO! I was polite with everyone that I spoke with, despite how I normally am when you make me mad or do something to my child. I had to call the bank and get them involved because it's complete FRAUD. The bank told me that they kept taking out different amounts of money 2x a month out of the account for a total of over $350. The bank is now handling everything and the charges are being disputed. I will NEVER in my life recommend this place or the people that work there. All they had to do was make everything right but they couldn't even do that. It's scary to know how many more people they've done this to. So if you want to be frauded, argued with and ignored by the manager when there's a problem, this is DEFINITELY the gym for you! That's the only way this gym gets a recommendation, hahahahaha. (in all seriousness, it isn't funny, it's disgusting)
