Outstanding Help From Their Rep. Mr. Michael Butler

I have been with First Premier Home Warranty for a couple of years. Today I called about an incident with my garage door opener that could not be fixed. I was waiting to receive an email with the form that I had to fill out and get back to the company. I happened to talk to Michael Butler. He was a very patient and kind fellow who patiently helped me receive, and sign, and even email back to them the form that I needed to be returned to them. He helped me so that the form could go to billing to be paid. Mr. Butler was a life saver and helped me greatly and saved me days in the process. If you call and Mr. Butler is working, I am sure that he will be just as helpful to you. First Premier Home Warranty is lucky to have such a representative answering their calls. I give him the 5 star rating. Thank you very much Mr. Butler. Beverly

Real Customer Service!

Jordan was kind, empathetic, and genuinely cared about helping me. She took the time to explain everything clearly, followed up with me, and made sure I knew exactly what was going on, even on a Sunday. This is what real customer service looks like.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must be. That is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide.

Regarding water heater coverage, our plans do outline specific components that are covered, and in some cases coverage may be limited to certain parts depending on the plan selected and the cause of failure. That said, we take concerns about communication and claim handling very seriously, and it’s disappointing to hear that you feel this was not clearly explained or properly resolved.

We would like the opportunity to review your claims in detail and see how we can help bring this to a fair resolution. Please contact our customer advocacy team directly with your policy number so we can escalate this matter and address your concerns appropriately.

Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

My hot water heater went out 10 days…

My hot water heater went out 10 days ago they finally sent someone yesterday stating that the hot water heater was bad. They sent another company to say the same thing! Today they declined to pay a dime! I had to pay $60 each visit! I paid extra to cover the hot water heater for them to say we only cover the elements! I have warranty on mine and my son’s home over $1,700a year. If you Vance it is $75 each home! I was told they needed to renew and I said until I find out what they do I see what they cover. Soon as I got off the phone they charged me and my payment wasn’t due until the 19th and this was on the 1st! And they declined the hot water!

We’re truly sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you’ve experienced, especially with being without hot water for an extended period of time. We understand how disruptive that can be.

We regret that multiple service visits were required and that you incurred service call fees without a resolution you were expecting. Coverage for water heaters can vary by plan and is typically limited to specific components, such as heating elements, rather than full unit replacement. That said, we understand your concern if this was not clearly explained at the time of enrollment or when you upgraded your coverage.

We’re also concerned to hear about the billing issue you mentioned. Any renewal or charge should only occur in accordance with the policy terms and billing schedule, and we would like to review this immediately to ensure everything was handled correctly.

We value your business, especially as a customer with multiple policies, and we would appreciate the opportunity to review your claims, service fees, and billing concerns in detail. Please contact our customer advocacy team directly with your policy number so we can escalate this matter and work toward a fair resolution.

No one answers the phone but Holly…

No one answers the phone but Holly after 6 attempts.I was asked to call back the following day at 830 AM by Kim but they open at 9 AM. Seller bought the policy for buyer and there is a 30 day waiting period I wasn't aware of just shy of 6 days. No local repairman in my area.

We sincerely apologize for the difficulty you experienced reaching our team and for the confusion regarding our business hours. You should not have been advised to call before our lines were open, and we regret the inconvenience this caused.

We also understand how frustrating it is to learn about a waiting period after a claim has already been initiated. When a policy is purchased by a seller, a standard waiting period does apply; however, we recognize that this may not have been clearly communicated, and we’re sorry for any misunderstanding.

Regarding service availability, we regret that we were unable to locate a local service provider in your area as quickly as expected.

Your feedback is important to us, and we would appreciate the opportunity to review your account, communication history, and coverage details to see how we can assist further. Please contact our customer advocacy team with your policy information so we can look into this matter promptly.

SCAM WARNING: Under Investigation for Review Bribes & Bad Faith

Do not trust the 5-star ratings here. First Premier Home Warranty (FPHW) is under investigation for systematic review manipulation. They bribe new customers with 'free electronics coverage' or 'roof leak protection' just to post a positive review before ever using the service (Watch out for emails from 'Josh' offering these bribes).

I am currently working with Google’s Fraud and Content Integrity teams to report and remove these incentivized fake reviews.

My actual experience (Claim TN-0012866):

The Bait & Switch: They took my $60 service fee, then offered a 'settlement' of $125 for a $700 dishwasher repair.

The Renewal Trap: They stalled my claim until 48 hours before my Dec 19th renewal to force me into paying for another month.

The Harassment: They ignored my written demands and tried to force me into a phone call to charge me a $75 cancellation fee.

Status: Formal cases are active with the Better Business Bureau (Case #24223460) and the Washington State Attorney General. I have replaced my credit card to stop their unauthorized charges. Avoid this company at all costs—they are professional scammers hiding behind bought reviews.

We strongly disagree with the claims made in this review and take allegations of misconduct very seriously.

First Premier Home Warranty does not engage in review manipulation, incentivized reviews, or fraudulent practices. Any optional promotions offered to customers are fully disclosed, voluntary, and never tied to the outcome of a claim or required in exchange for coverage.

Regarding claims, settlement options, renewals, and cancellations are handled strictly in accordance with the terms of the service agreement, which outlines coverage limits, service fees, renewal timelines, and cancellation policies. Customers are never required to renew in order to have a claim reviewed or resolved.

We also do not authorize or condone unauthorized charges. Any billing concerns are investigated promptly when brought to our attention through proper channels.

If the reviewer would like their specific claim reviewed internally, they may contact our customer advocacy team directly with their policy and claim information.

Worthless

On 2/18/2025 was sent a tech out to work on washing machine, he could not speak English. He had to use his cell phone to communicate with me, i had to read what was on the phone and type my answer back. He did not have a company vehicle, just a plane car. Had to pay him $65.70 for service call. When he left, I phoned First Premier about this. At that time, they told me they would give me a check of $125.00 to use anyone.
I filled out paperwork and emailed back the same day. All I got the last 9 months is the runaround, check in mail, check lost, need to wait 30 days to get another check on and on. Sent 6 emails and phoned them 9 times over 9 MONTHS.
Went to the BBB, and all they did was lie to them all the time, case was closed. It cost me over $200.00 to get my washer fixed and the policy thru First Premier Home Warranty was worth nothing. Stay away from them.

Run as far as you can!

This is not a Home Warranty company. This is a home scam company. I made the the mistake of purchasing a multi-year warranty for a better discounted rate. This company has yet to pay for any claim that I have sent them. They ALWAYS find a reason for denying the claim or are only willing to pay the smallest fraction toward the actual repair price. Here is what you will have to do to submit a claim (that will not get paid, trust me). You either have to email them or call them and they probably won't answer. Then after a few days they might send you the name of a vendor to do the work. The vendor will not contact you so you will have to call them. They probably will say they don't come to your area so then you will have to contact First Premier for another vendor and start the process all over again. If you get lucky and the vendor will come to your place, you pay them your deductible and then the vendor has to email a bid to First Premier. They will take days to review it and will likely say they never received it. If First Premiere agrees to pay (only a fraction of the price), you have to call the vendor back out to do the actual work. By this time 3 weeks gas gone by. Don't even consider doing business with First Premier. They need to be arrested and jailed and required to return all premiums!

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Claims are delayed and payments are shortened. I'm always on hold for long periods of time, and then the call gets dropped. I'll call back and get stall tactics such as , "that department is not available", "someone will call you back", etc. Many excuses. The latest is my check was shortened because they claim I did not send in the receipt, which I did when I filed it. Nowhere does it say you have to resend the receipt. Another excuse! So I told them I want to cancel my policy and now am told there will be cancel fees, all monies paid must be returned. This is not accurate as to what I was told upon buying my policy. I was told "early cancel anytime with no penalties".
This company is slow pay, doesn't allow claims, won't pay, stalls, won't return calls and anything else you can think of. Run away and do not buy from them!

First Premier home warranty is a scam

I cancel my first premier home warranty back either December 2024 or January 2025. Why did I get a text on November 10,2025 saying that my payment is pasted due. So I called them and ask them how much do I owe he said $45 I said REALLY! My account has been closed since December or January so how could I owe you $45. This company is a scam. Why are they still open taking peoples money!! THE BBB NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY ASAP!! RUN IF THEY CALL YOU! IF THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK CALL YOUR BANK SO THEY CAN PUT IN A CLAIM AND INVESTIGATE!! I BET YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!
