DON'T Subscribe

Again, a problem with subscription renewals.

We subscribe to many childrens publicationsand FIRST NEWS is the only one that doesnt send a reminder prior to auto renew. As other reviews state, cancelling isnt straight forward and once they have your money, there is no chance of a discussion! CUstomer service number is woeful. Long delays, promise of call backs not actioned. Basically you are ignored. It is a shame as the product itself is very good.

Impossible to cancel subscription

Impossible to cancel subscription. Tried on the website, the app and calling in person. Even when talking to a human being the ‘system is unable to log in’.
Shocking service for what is meant to be a publication aimed at children.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE
After reporting this review as defamatory (which was not upheld) the response from First News is that they cannot verify my account. Well, there isn’t an active account anymore as I was finally able to unsubscribe by emailing two different email addresses. I stand by my review - customers should be able to unsubscribe on the website, the app and by telephone. We shouldn’t have to try four different routes before getting the required result. I’m not disputing the quality of the publication but I do think you can do much better in making cancelling subscriptions much easier.
