Care for your clients …

They never reach out to explain things to you. One has got to call them and they put you on hold for days.Talking to a representative is like talking to someone that does not care at all. The dealership would have chosen a better insurance company for me. I am so disappointed that people do not care about other people’s wellbeing. Why get into a business knowing that you will not care.
I was involved in a care accident 2 months and some weeks ago. Nobody reaches out to me to o tell me what is need.

First Chicago Insurance Company is one…

First Chicago Insurance Company is one of the worst insurers to deal with after an accident. Filing a claim was a nightmare—poor communication, endless delays, and zero sense of urgency. I constantly had to chase them just to get basic updates.

I’m a limo driver, and they didn’t properly compensate me for loss of wages while my car was in the shop. Instead, they offered just $15 per day—completely unreasonable and nowhere near what I actually lost.

When you need support the most, they make the process stressful and exhausting. I would not recommend them to anyone.

No stars

No stars. STILL waiting on a response from someone as to the estimate that was requested of me and sent in over a month ago, my accident happened in middle of December. Terrible care for calling customers back and never answer or return calls. I will continue to write reviews as its the only way i know what is going on is actually getting out there and read. No response from anyone though. Give the customer a call!

Paid in full!

I got rear ended by a client of 1st chicago. I want to say first off it took a month to receive payment. But I GOT ONE! Also it was right about exactly what I wanted and expected to get. I was extremely nervous after reading into many 1st chicago reviews. I knew it would be a miracle. In fact I would say It was! Im a praying man and have been for many years. And I have to say as well if I didn't pray about it I probably would be writing something completely different. Thank God it all worked out for me! And thank you 1st Chicago

I had an accident on 12/5/25 and yet…

I had an accident on 12/5/25 and yet for this insurance to do anything about it. It’s one in a million to get a hold of the adjuster Emily olivera. They did the estimate on 12/17/25 and yet still nothing. There is a place to make a complaint for auto insurances IDOI and they will reach out to them, this might be of help. I just made the complaint and if more people do it they might actually do their job. Their reasoning for not finishing up with the claim is that they are waiting on their insured to provide more documentation. I’ve spoken with their insured and he provided everything necessary few days after the claim was made. Please make the complaint it might give them a push to handle their claims in a timely manner.

I have been a customer with First…

I have been a customer with First Chicago Insurance for 4 years, since I was 18 years old. I maintained a clean driving record the entire time and paid around $250 per month for a 2015 Honda Accord. Over the years, that adds up to roughly $8,000–$10,000.

For that amount of money, I expected professionalism and basic communication. Instead, reaching anyone at this company is nearly impossible. Calls go unanswered, messages are not returned, and when you try repeatedly to get assistance, you are ignored.

The situation became even worse when my mother (also insured through them) was involved in an accident where she was found NOT at fault. She lost her vehicle and is now dealing with a lawsuit — yet there has been little to no communication or guidance from the company. Repeated attempts to contact them have gone nowhere.

Insurance is something you hope you never need — but when you do need it, that’s when the company shows its true colors. Unfortunately, in our experience, this company failed to provide support during the most important moment.

I have now switched to a different insurance provider.

If you’re considering this company, I strongly recommend researching other options first. Customer service and responsiveness matter — especially when you’re paying thousands of dollars over the years.

Having issues with paying my bill and…

Having issues with paying my bill and then they try to charge a 10$ late fee when you can’t even pay your bill! That 10$ late fee isn’t fair when you’re only one day late and it’s because of their system! I tried paying on new website and it says my policy number or zip code is wrong , app won’t let me pay and app has had my name spelled wrong for months since oct to be exact and I’ve mentioned it several times! I also cannot pay over the phone because they could not find my account!! I’m really starting to wonder if I’m being scammed.

DON'T USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!

One of their insured was doped up on meth and high level of alcohol. Hitting my vehicle and tried to flee the scene. They had PA tags on the car and on the police report they have PA address, how they have this horrible cheap stupid excuse for an auto insurance company I have no idea. My deductible through my insurance was above the estimated amount of the repairs. So I went after First Chicago and they kept dragging this through since September 2nd of 2025 the date of the accident. Then I finally got an adjuster to come out to get pictures and do an estimate which was a different appraisal company, then first chicago claimed that they're not going to pay for the repairs that they spoke to their management and they decided to drop my claim cause they don't have to pay out and to go back to my insurance company and that their insured is not cooperating!!!??? Wow how many of you ever heard that an insurance company won't pay what they're held accountable for because their insured doesn't want to cooperate what a crock of shit!!!! I have already submitted all my paperwork and such to my attorney and they will pay alot to the point that they will go bankrupt. I'm also going to report them a fraudulent scamming insurance company. I highly suggest everyone who has to deal with them and is not getting results and they are not being accountable and paying what's needed, that you all submit lawsuits and get them to close their doors and go bankrupt!!!! Report them as fraudulent and go to social media, news media sites, radio stations and report these assholes for not doing what they're supposed to do!!!

Claims service non existent

Every complaint you see about their claims department , the one department that effects a person's life, the one department that is to deliver the promise the underwriters, agents, and the policy makes-- worse than you read. No point to insurance if the claims department refuses to deliver on the promises made. Avoid this company at all costs.

Worse insurance by far

Worse insurance by far. They even put me at fault for a car accident where my parked car was hit by a drunk driver. I called for them to correct it and they said they did and I still see that it’s on my license. So I need to call them again and wait for a random call back at who knows what time of the day. This insurance company is a straight up scam and is downright criminal.

If I could put ZERO stars I would

If I could put ZERO stars I would.
This is the most unreliable insurance. They won't get back to you. This Jessica rodriguez won't either.
I've been waiting a month to hear anything.
No one transfers anyone anywhere and it is absolutely impossible to reach anyone. Even the supervisors.
Who do you report further up for companies like this??

This company deserves a -10

If I could give this company a -10 I would. A driver who has this insurance hit my car on 12/11/25. It took about 24 hours before a representative returned my call. They told me they don't pay for towing and storage fee while waiting for an estimator to go see my car. On Monday I called several collision repair shops. None of them will do business with this company because they are so difficult to work with. I ended up having to file with my insurance.

their insured was at fault but claim denied

one of their insureds ran a red light and totaled our car and received a ticket. We turned a claim in with them the same day and didn't hear a word from them for several weeks. When we did finally talk to them they said they were sending out an adjuster. Next thing we know we receive a letter that they denied to claim because their insured wasn't responding. Wait, What, they have proof from the police report as to what happened and that their insured received the ticket. By the time we received said letter the bill so the storage lot was over 5k. I am still confused as to how they got out of paying for something caused by their insured. This place is a complete scam and should be closed down. Like my insurance company said, it we could deny because the other party didn't respond we could save a ton of money.

Jessica Rodriguez is awful as an agent. Doesn't do her job thoroughly. Terrible experience with First Chicago. Claims took forever, reps were rude and passed me between departments, and I still don’t have a resolution after weeks. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. They also have unsafe drivers. All claims will be denied even if there drivers are at fault. 0 stars for communication and speed. Not recommended. #insurancefail ZERO stars! The worst in the nation.

NO UPDATE IN 6 WEEKS

NO UPDATE IN 6 WEEKS -

I was rear ended by a minivan and my entire bumper fell off and my trunk won't close. This happened on 9/5. It's now 10/20 and I still don't have an update. I cannot drive my car or leave my condo. I work in office 5 days a week and have not been able to for 6 weeks. This is outrageous. I need help! This isn't even my insurance company.
