I’m very disappointed with my recent…

I’m very disappointed with my recent delivery. I’ve been ordering your filters for years and have never had an issue like this before. This time, the filters were not delivered in a box at all. Instead, they were left outside in wet, snowy conditions (it was actively snowing that day), with a poorly placed piece of plastic that did not fully cover the items. As a result, the filters were wet when I received them. I did not take a photo of the filters themselves, as a photo would not clearly show that they were wet. However, the delivery photo should clearly show that the items were left outside, unboxed, and inadequately covered in the snow.

Your customer service is excellent! I had a problem with a shipment and your customer service representative, Stephanie, quickly resolved the issue to get me the correct size filters for my system. She followed up on my initial concern and provided same day resolution to get me the correct filters.

Size Issues

For some reason their sizes are smaller than what they sell at. For example a 20 x 25 x 4 is actually 19 1/2 x 24 1/3 x 3 5/8. It doesn’t fit into my filter slot. And I bought 2 of them. Terrible waste.

Great company, product, pricing and customer support.

I Have been purchasing filters from FilterBuy for 6 years now, so easy to deal with, great filters, pricing and wonderful support. I had a problem and they took care of it...... over the weekend!! Difficult to find customer service like this these days. They sent me replacement filters and said not to return the ones they had sent in error, but to donate them if I could.

Positive experience overall. But be wary of the exchange/return deadline.

[Intial review. See below for update] -- Several months after receiving a subscription order (in which I was sent double the number of filters I'd ordered) we had to replace our heat pump. The filters, all as yet unopened, would no longer work for our system. I offered to return all the filters (again, two full unopened boxes) for a single less expensive set. I was told that under no circumstances could they flex on their return/exchange date — as if it were a law written into the fabric of the universe! Instead, as I pointed out, it's just a matter of bad customer service. Sadly, they didn't seem to understand this. I would not recommend working with them.
UPDATE: Shortly after my call with CS and posting this review, they called me back. Since I'd been with them for 4 years as a subscriber, they wanted to make things right. I appreciate this. But do be warned that, when you speak to CS agents, they are instructed to be very inflexible about exchanges, etc.

Damaged products

I bought 2 years worth of filters from these guys and didnt notice some of the filters were damaged, they filters wasn't sealed to the frame rendering them useless. Filterbuy refused to fix the issue.

Be careful if you want good customer service

Received a damaged box, and two of the filters inside were damaged as well. I expected a straightforward process to receive replacements or a refund for the two filters. Instead, the company required excessive proof and made the process unnecessarily difficult, which felt accusatory. Shipping damage happens, and resolving it shouldn’t require jumping through hoops. I won’t be purchasing from this company again.

ordered wrong size and was unsure what correct size should be. rep was very patient in guiding me to the correct size. i do prefer actually conversing by speaking (old school, senior citizen) compared to “chat” as I deplore texting but got through it with favorable outcome.

I have been ordering from Filter Buy…

I have been ordering from Filter Buy for several years without any hiccups. I ordered MERV 11 Replacement for Lennox 20x25x5 (19.88x24.75x4.38) but was sent 14x30x1. When I called in to customer service, they demanded that I take pictures of the filters I was sent as they didn't trust me. Basically, saying that I'm a liar and that it's on me to prove I was sent the wrong filters. I have requested a refund and thus far they are refusing to refund until I prove they sent the wrong filters. I have never been asked to provide photos by any company, and I have no plans to start now.

Product returned and didn’t receive a refund

I didn’t realize I was in an autoship. With no notice of an impending shipment I received a notification for a charge for filters on my credit card. I called filterbuy immediately to cancel and was told I was too late to cancel and that I should refuse the shipment when it arrived. I did so and unfortunately didn’t notice they never credited my account. When I discovered this they refused to make it right. They ripped me off for almost $80.

I purchased a pack of two AC filters…

I purchased a pack of two AC filters from Filterbuy. They were shipped via UPS with no outer box, just the filters exposed, and they arrived damaged. I contacted customer service and they sent two replacement filters — shipped the exact same way — and those arrived damaged as well.
After that, I was asked to ship the damaged filters back at my own time and inconvenience. I spent time packing them up and dropping them off, only to be given the runaround for weeks regarding my refund. At one point, they even claimed they couldn’t locate the return or the tracking information, despite the fact that this entire issue was caused by their improper packaging.
I’ve now spent over an hour of my personal time fixing a problem that never should have happened in the first place. After researching online, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident — poor packaging, damaged products, and slow or confusing refunds appear to be a pattern with this company.
Do not buy from Filterbuy unless you’re willing to deal with damaged items, wasted time, and refund hassles.

Filters smaller than advertised

Purchased 4 20x25x4 filters. They advertise that they sell same filters at a discount. Was happy initially since buying these was going to save me about $15 each.
Received them tonight and noticed immediately they are smaller than advertised. Have been buying this size filter for over 10 years so it was noticeable. When installed in unit, there’s now a gap of about 1 1/2 inches of width which means these are worthless.
Contacted customer service and their initial response is that it says in their specifications that they list them as smaller. If they do, it’s hidden in fine print somewhere because they list them in standard industry dimensions and they aren’t. Will not do business again with a dishonest company.

Beware returns are paid for by the consumer and are hard to get.

I ordered four filters which were not to the specifications that I had ordered them upon. Once received the measurements did not matched what the package said. When I reported this to Filterbuy to get a refund I was told a label would be sent but I have not seen one since I guess I will have to call back. Also very important they are making me pay for the return shipping on their mistake. I would not recommend buying from this company. Amazon has same quality products for less money.
