I will never purchase again

I will never purchase from Filippo Loreti again. Their revolutionary idea is about bypassing traditional resellers and connecting production directly with end customers. But when the buying process itself is confusing and unpleasant, that promise completely falls apart.

Before checkout, the experience was already frustrating — it was unclear whether many watches were meant for men, women, or unisex. But the real issue came after purchase. I received an email from FedEx requiring me to handle customs clearance and submit multiple documents. When I contacted Filippo Loreti’s customer support, I expected a mistake had been made. Instead, I received a dismissive response telling me I should have read the disclaimer more carefully, that customs clearance is entirely my responsibility, and that I could return the shipment only if I paid all shipping costs.

This is unacceptable. Outsourcing production to Asia may be cost-effective for them, but it should not become the customer’s burden. Major brands like Nike also produce in Asia, yet they ship through EU hubs, sparing customers from customs issues. Filippo Loreti once operated within the EU, so shifting this burden onto buyers feels like a step backward.

For anyone considering a purchase: be aware that your order will ship directly from Asia, and you will be responsible for customs clearance. That’s not trivial — and in my case, it was the last straw.

Traumatic experience

In First Place i had lots of troubles during the checkout phase (only After 2 weeks and 5 emails i got the 10% discount advertised in the site, then there were problems with the free shipping that the site charged me). Finally thanks to the customer service i was able to purchase the Watch at the right price but i discovered only when the Watch reach my country that i had to pay 48€ of extra expenses (on a Total cost of 120€).

The watch is okay

The watch is okay. However I had to pay 50 Euro on import taxes, tariffs and duties on a 190 Euro watch. When I opened the case the strap wasn’t properly attached to the watch. It was loose in the package. That was easy to fix, but still the impression wasn’t great. Due to the high import duties, I will probably not order again in the future.

I have been a loyal customer and…

I have been a loyal customer and previously enjoyed ordering from this website without any issues. However, with my latest order, I was surprised to receive an additional invoice for import duties and fees after delivery, which was never the case before.

There was no clear mention during checkout that I would have to pay these extra costs. If I had known, I would have reconsidered my purchase.

Unfortunately, this has left me disappointed and I will be very hesitant to order again unless they make their shipping terms and potential additional costs more transparent.

Nice looking, but quality issue and hidden costs

Bought one and got one "for free".
The watches are beautiful, but one of them has a defective mesh band.

Unfortunately I had to pay, additional to the 29€ shipping costs, the taxes and other fees which reached 61€ 😕

The mystery gift was just a ring witch doesn't fit my fingers. I would have preferred another band though.

Update:
I sent an E-Mail to the customer service and they sent a new mesh band. Still waiting for it to arrive. The fast reply from the customer service and the new band raised the rating to 4 stars.
