FPA really caught my eye after I struggled to find success with my Amazon FBA business. I loved the idea of a model where I didn't have to buy inventory upfront or pay for warehouse storage fees. This platform offered great support and had a very affordable startup cost, though there was a heavy push to join the high-tier bootcamp to work directly with the founder, Karla.
​Over the three years I consistently published, I pushed myself incredibly hard and followed the program to a T. I felt highly supported, and the marketing and visibility suggestions were genuinely helpful. However, like any online business, you have to spend money to make money.
​Beyond the initial joining fee and bootcamp costs, you must be prepared for the ongoing overhead required to produce and market books. To run this business, you will need to pay monthly or annual fees for 5 to 6 additional platforms to handle newsletter swaps, review tracking, and ARC teams. That is on top of paying for a business email, a domain, editing, professional book covers, and Facebook ads. Ultimately, I invested 3 to 4 hours daily for three consecutive years, but unfortunately, my profits never exceeded my total investment.
​Karla is a great teacher who delivers on what she offers, but please think hard before jumping in. Make sure you have plenty of capital left over after the initial joining fee. With the rise of detailed YouTube tutorials and AI tools like ChatGPT, a lot of this information is now readily available for free.

First of all Daniel was very helpful. He listen to what I was having problems with. Starting off was very difficult for me because I was watching a lot of videos in the first section and he said since I am in the bootcamp follow your checklist to the tee. Only follow the checklist down the list and do what it says. He also mention to me about a duo screen that I can hook onto my laptop and have it side-by-side so I can what the videos one screen and do the work on the other screen. It was hard for me to be switching from one screen to the next . So now I see what to do play -by-play. Very appreciative for him to suggest that to me.

I just watched the webinar. It looks really easy, however at the end you have to put down almost 2K to in. For someone, like me, who lives paycheck to paycheck, or struggling to make ends meet, we can't afford this. Even the "buy now, pay later" option is $200 a month. Still unaffordable if you have bills to pay. And you are NOT guaranteed the sales you want. If the book doesn't sell, or the market changes, or the economy, etc. You have 1 book, in a sea of millions. Might not even make anything.
Now if you have the money, go ahead, but for others, like myself who don't, will stay with Sudowrite, which is only $20 a month. Much more affordable for a writer like me.

I continue to be so happy having Daniel as a coach for my work at FPA. He is always forthright, giving me honest input. I appreciate that he clarifies his review so I know where to head in any revisions. Thanks Daniel! Nancy B

When I first joined the program, I was writing contemporary romance and struggling to find my place in the market. Daniel encouraged me to explore mafia romance, and that single piece of advice completely changed the trajectory of my author career.

I really appreciated Daniel's patience with me. My fault-I'm not familiar with Zoom calls or Google Docx/how to share files. Unfortunately I lost almost 15 minutes of the call getting instructions on these. But we came through it at the end and I got a lot of great suggestions for my blurb. I wanted to ask him about the final design of the book cover, but we ran out of time. Again, I was very thankful for his patience and input.

Again, let me thank Daniel for his patience, understanding, and knowledge. Without his persistence and understanding that I am a novice in publishing, I doubt I would be moving to the next level.

2 Thumbs up for Daniel. He helped me through one of the hardest parts of publishing. Writing a specific word count blurb that teases the reader and doesn't outline the plot or give away the ending. Sometimes like when texting, there is missing info as well as misunderstanding. The meeting I had with Daniel was proof that I misread him. Daniel is very confident, and from the time I spent covering a few topics, I also found him credible. I feel I am on the right path once again.
