My experience with Google Fiber and Myttzy Sampson
My experience with Google Fiber and specifically with my account manager Mytzy Sampson has been outstanding. Mytzy surprised me last year when I called her with the most technical, out of the blue question that was in regards to a unit that couldn't get internet and she blew me away with her technical knowledge. The reason I was surprised, is because sometimes professionals tend to lean one way and since her events had been so amazing I figured that was her expertise. I was wrong, she is amazing at both the technicality and the salesmanship of the business. I wouldn't like to work with anyone outside of her because the trust has been built and validated over and over.
In regard to the service I have no complaints; they are very easy to work with and find solutions quickly.

Signed up for the 3Gig fiber
Signed up for the 3Gig fiber, they sent a technician to install it that was an absolute idiot. He assured me that the ethernet cable was connected to the GFiber system but he lied. Also, I do telemedicine and he completely disconnected my entire setup for no reason at all: monitor desktop, all of it. Had a difficult time getting everything reconnected the next time I was scheduled for my shift. Even worse, he did NOT reconnect my ethernet cable like he said he did, so all I can get is 300mbps instead of 3gbps. The 1gbps I had previously was MUCH faster, like 998mbps! So I called GFiber to have them come fix it, but they refused to send someone out. The technician offered to walk me through getting the cords straightened out, but the guy (subcontractor of course) put the router on the floor where I can't reach it although he claimed he had put where I asked. Since I'm disabled and can't get down on the floor to manage fixing the installer's negligent installation, he tried to get a supervisor on the line but one never did get on. Therefore I am filing a report with the FTC and ADA as GFiber clearly is discriminating against disabled people and even elders, in my case. Disgusting customer service and tech support is worthless.

1 star review due to prolonged Google Fiber internet outage at my residence .
My Google Fiber service has been completely down for more than three (3) consecutive days. I have contacted Google Fiber support multiple times but the issue remains unresolved. All requested troubleshooting steps have already been completed.
Google Fiber has informed me that they cannot dispatch a technician for another 3 days, leaving my household without internet service for an extended and unreasonable period of time.
This outage is causing serious harm because:
• I rely on internet access to perform my job
• All household streaming services are unusable
• My home security cameras are offline, creating a safety and security concern
Despite reporting the issue promptly and requesting escalation, I have not been provided with a clear explanation for the outage or any reasonable interim solution. The inability to dispatch a technician for several additional days after a prolonged outage is unacceptable for a residential broadband provider.

If you are thinking about Google Fiber, READ THIS FIRST. My Google Fiber has been down for 12 days - no internet, or wifi, meaning no TV, email, Alexa or even my robot vacuum cleaner. Two techs have been here replaced all my equipment: fiber wall jack and routers. Both techs and Google fiber support say it's in their system, now in my home or the fiber cable coming to my home, Ij've had three different incident priority numbers, the last being "high priority." I have had more than three "it'll be fixed within 24 hours" and never heard back nor was the system restored. Support call in has even given me a discount for poor service. That's no help if I don't have any service, which I don't. The only reason I can post this is that my neighbor has strong wifi from another vendor and is allowing me to use theirs. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS
Unacceptable Service Experince
I’ve had Google Fiber for at least a decade . In the past year , I’ve noticed a steady decline in reliability and the lacking of customer service. Now, I get many folks who don’t speak good English even though they are in an English speaking state . I’ve had several outages . This is the third one . They are saying it’s an internal issue . When I call I get vague answers . I’ve had 3 technicians at my house already . It’s been 3 days so far and no WiFi . I’m switching to AT&T . I’ve lost faith in Google Fiber. Good riddance!!!

First off they bury the line 2 inches in the ground. Ours was cut during aeration. Google came out and repaired the line but did not bury it. Our line has been exposed now for over a month. I’m sure when they get to it they will not properly bury it again.

Took 24 hours of discussion via Chat and on telephone for them to figure out that “The Outage” was just my outage. All sorts of promises not kept, untrue statements, to finally find out that I needed a technician to come out and fix my problem, Outside!!!!

Account and Install Cancelled
I was scheduled to get Google Fiber installed, but the Friday (8/22) before my appointment (8/27) their crews cut my existing CenturyLink line—leaving me completely without internet. When I called, Google Fiber refused to offer any compensation for the outage or inconvenience. The only thing they offered was to cover reconnect fees if CenturyLink charged me, but nothing for the disruption or the fact that neither company could come help me for days. Working from home off my hotspot and no TV or anything else that is connected to the internet over a weekend.
This experience made it clear that Google Fiber does not value their customers. I canceled my appointment and account. If this is how they treat people before installation, I have no confidence they would support me as a paying customer.
