This is the worst cell provider…
This is the worst cell provider experience I have ever encountered. Support messed about for two weeks just to get the provisioning correct for my service to work. Thereafter my device would show no service more times than actually having service. After about 6 months I finally pulled the plug in Fi. 3 months later they are still hitting my credit card with charges even though my account shots a credit. Support is useless, and that’s a compliment. Avoid at all costs.
Google Fi support team is incompetent
Google FI support team is so incompetent. They fail to provide any customer service at all, they do cause a headache. I had a defective pixel 6 device (black color range software seems incorrect. Pixel 6 phone cannot display the black color range correctly - so far an unusual fault...), purchased via Google Fi. Because of the bad customer service I changed cell phone providers, meaning I don't have a google FI account anymore. However phone was still under warranty. When I contacted them they kept saying that I needed to write from an active google fi account and later on from the account in which I purchased the phone. I didn't have an active account but I contacted them all the time from the email address I purchased the phone with and all the time I got the same answer that they can't help me because I didn't email them with the right email address. They had all the details of my phone and I send them them the order, but still refusing to help. Luckily when I contacted the Google Support team, they send me the replacement information in no time, using the same information as Google Fi. Very poor customer services and very disappointed.
Zero is a more appropriate rating
I contacted Fi prior to ordering to ask about not starting subscription until a certain date(as it was a Christmasgift). After a pain in the butt to actually be able to ask, I was told it wouldn't be an issue. I wrapped the gift for my niece and put under my tree. Got an email stating I need to activate collar. I thought I contacted them but got another email saying activate or they would within a week. About a week later now and finally a representative has told me next time order a gift card. Come again? This company/product is near impossible to contact, does not stand behind what their customer service says they will and to tell me how to do things 'next time '? Fat chance that's going to happen. Unwrapping present for my niece now to return product
I use many Google products happily, but Fi is a failure
I use many Google products happily, but Fi is an utter disappointment. After attempting to make a an insurance claim for months without promised reciprocation, the outcome is that I pay more to replace a lousy 4a phone than it is worth, and can't even just pay it off early to upgrade?! Google has done zero to be accommodating, the only light at the end of this tunnel is the end of my subscription.
Terrible, I'm leaving the service.
I've used Googlefi for 2.5 years. I'm quitting today. 3rd time a <1 year phone stops working and their tech support puts me on hold, indefinitely. When I call back, same thing. Same thing happened to my friend. It's obviously a systematic way to weasel out of warranty claims. I'm done.
Would be 0 stars worst phone service…
Would be 0 stars worst phone service ever. They took our numbers that we've had for 5 plus years. They took our rebate for our phones because they messed up our service when porting over. So now in order to get our numbers we have to pay for the phones and the service have a zero balance to try to port our numbers over. This was my business number they took. They are crooks and the worst don't by any means try them you will regret it
Unless you live in the major cities you don't have service. They won't even let you return the phones to cancel the balance. Never seen a carrier that won't let you return a POS phone
Great concept beyond poor execution
Great concept beyond poor execution! No customer service, and the ones that claim to be have no people skills only tech skill! There might as well be as high as Verizon because there’s no value for what you get! I’ve been hung up at least four times while talking to customer service. A lot of their products are still in beta testing and no flexibility
I loathe GoogleFi
I tried leaving a review for googlefi on google but they didn't have the option. I'm not surprised.
GoogleFi is a terrible company. I specifically
got this plan to use when I went to Europe but after I left the country my phone didn't work. I was on the phone for hours with a person trying to help me when I had my layover in Canada. Then I was told to wait 3 days or more for their upper management to contact me. I would already be in Europe by then where I needed my phone. I was extremely upset because their plan was false when it said it supported service in the countries I was going to. It should have also supported service in Canada! Now I'm trying to leave googlefi and the pin and account number I was given to release my number doesn't work. This company is awful. if they had negative stars I would choose them. Luckily for them customers can only go as low as one star.
Horrible service
Horrible service. I received a free 3 month promotion as a local guide but then less than 20 days in I was charged 72.56 for a service that is crap and is not trully unlimited like they claim. Calling their service center was a joke, nobody knew anything neither did they want to apply the promotion even after I sent them the emails with the reward for 3 months free. I cancelled the service and will open a credit card claim. What a waste of time.
Terrible
Ordered a phone replacement on Oct. 7th and due to delays and problems they would not ship it until Oct. 20th. I was told it would be shipped overnight at least. It was not shipped via overnight...After contacting them I at least asked if they could waive the replacement fee to make it right after all of the trouble...Of course they are unable to do that. Its a mega company that does not care about its customers at all...
Google FI is Horrible
I had GF for 1.5 years. Cell coverage was spotty, dropped calls, service would not work for hours and GF was of no help. Just recommended that I reboot my Google Pixel. Horrible experience, went back to I-phone and ATT. Google Fi would not let me port my number to ATT, huge mess and had to get a new cell number. Worse than bad! Do not use Google Fi
Customer service lies will cost you money.
GF customer service made recommendation to solve an account problem that compromised our rebate. When we found out the problem with the rebate they said to send a letter explaining everything and it would be fine instead of actually fixing the problem. We lost $1500. They deleted the original order. We lost the option for the protection plan and their lack of information in their billing makes it impossible to see if they double billed us for the time the accounts were messed up.
I bought a Google Pixel 5a and the…
I bought a Google Pixel 5a and the screen suddenly stopped working after 10 months. Google says it has a one year warranty and will repair or replace it. I bought it through Google Fi at full price and so they sent me through their chat support. I had canceled Fi because of poor service and poor value and so it voided my warranty. They ended the chat when they couldn't give an answer as to why it was not covered.
Google fi service is a joke
Google fi service is a joke. We got three phones from them. Then they told us we were only using one phone when we were using three. Now they want to charge us $400. Saying that we are not using all three phones. And they just sent a message saying they want to charge another $200 on our account. We had to cancel our card so we wouldn't be charged for $600 for one phone.
What a terrible joke of a company
I am a supervisor at a telecommunications company and if my reps spoke to and disconnected the call on customers the way I have been spoken to and hung up on, they would be terminated. I have been lied to. I have $475 being held on my debit card and was told that price wouldn't touch my account. Now I have $126 and I will have to wait until possibly Monday to get it back on my account. They NEVER have a supervisor willing to take a call. I get lied to about that as well. Refused to be able to stay on the line to take a survey. Hung up on while requesting a member of leadership. I have had nothing but issues with them for the last 4 years. I got a free upgrade, within 2 weeks of having the BRAND NEW phone everything stopped working. A year later same thing happened and I have to pay for the second replacement for the exact same issue. They are a terrible company with terrible customer service. They don't want to help the paying customer, just the young man who is making billions off of us.
google fi is the worst service ever
sorry but one stare is too much for them, flexeible plane is the worst service ever, they will charge you $10 per one GB,so if you use 18GB that month then you will pay$180,but they were nice to give you freeeeee GB after the you reached the 18GB and pay the $180, nothing but ripoff , i did call customer service and talk to supervisor no one how i did get charged ,they changed the story three times
google fi is the worst service ever out their
Customer service is horrible
It hasn't even been a full month and I'm already having to call/email/chat with Google Fi support almost daily. They send me a phone and entered the wrong IME in the system, so it's showing I never activated the phone, when I clearly did. Because of someones mistake, I might lose the promo code for $699 taken off the Samsung galaxy 22 plus.
After almost a month, they finally recieved my old phone for trade in and refuse to send credit to the correct payment method and told me to have my credit card company deal with it. Every person Ive spoken to is never the correct Tier to help me.... Calls and emails always being forwarded and I never get anything fixed. I went from Tmobile to Google Fi thinking it was going to be better, easier, and cheaper. I'm already regretting this decision.
Confirmed, apple phones are built better
Went from android to apple back to android for this Google Fi Pixel 6.
10/10 would recommend, if you want a cheap way to heat your entire house throughout winter. Anything above 90 degrees (outside temp) and the pixel 6 will heat up FAST. Almost too hot to touch and god forbid the performance suffers as a result (spoiler alert, it does)! Good luck using maps when this happens.
Battery lasts half a day AT BEST. Even the Google apps drain the battery and spike that internal temp up HIGH. Also, the Fi Network sucks because it bounces between the other sucky providers you think you’re getting away from by joining Fi. Good customer service tho, transition was easy enough.
I wish phone makers would focus less on worthless money grabs like 9millionbillion megapixel camera specs and focus more on performance specs like battery life and internal coolness... Sent lots of 'feedback' to Google but I know better than to think that it gets sent to an actual decision maker… Only thing I can do is leave my review and move on to another phone later on.
Currently looking for a way I can crawl back to apple. I will not be staying with Fi or Android going forward lol
My battery dropped from 20 to 13 percent just from writing this lmao
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! they have never sent my phone wouldn't refund my down payment now they charged me $1300 for a phone I've never received!!! RUN AWAY FAST!!!
