Pure rubber straps on Jaguar watches

I have bought a Jaguar J650 watch in 2012 and have been struggling with the durability of the rubber strap. The maximun durability of the original Jaguar rubber straps has been 8 month each. Festina has confrimed that the they expect a durability of 8-14 month for their rubber straps. Since the original rubber straps are pretty expensive you must be ready to pay a lot (around 70 Euro each rubber strap) to keep your Jaguar watch working.
