Be careful and stay away of Felliway

I bought Felliway for my cats because I got a new one and they were fighting, so I read that it would help with this. I sprayed little amounts on my house, and I started having migraines, joint and bones pain and fell dizzy and with brain fog. I had a horrible chest pain. One of my cats had a couple of asthma attacks and in 10 years he never had one before. I was wondering what was it, and then I found on Reddit that it causes EXACTLY the same symptoms that my cat and I were having, so y cleaned everything, open all the doors and windows and turned on a candle... everything started going away! So many people complaining about the same issues cannot be wrong! Be aware and DON'T USE IT! IT IS HIGHLY TOXIC!

I wish my only complaint was it didn't…

I wish my only complaint was it didn't work and no it didn't plus it ran out in 18 days, not 30. But that was actually a good thing because I became really ill after plugging one of these in and did not make the connection until it ran out. I had a massive migraine heaches 24/7 and broke out in eczema lesions that the doctors could not figure out and gave me steroids. But then I happened to notice all the one star reviews on Amazon and many were people saying they gotten sick too. Bad headaches and even respiratory problems. This product is not safe for humans and should not be on the market.

I have tried many brands of cat…

I have tried many brands of cat pheromone diffusers. I have 11 cats and in their opinion Feliway Optimum is the best. Some of the newer diffusers - like CalmingZone and CatCalm - I have tried because their advertisements suck me in. But they don't even "diffuse" - even when the diffuser itself is "on" and the liquid bottle is full, the liquid level never changes. I always return to Feliway Optimum - the diffusers work, and the pheromones get distributed, and my cats' behavior shows it. Irritability, fights, inappropriate spraying are all rare. I am convinced!

Our Ronnie was waking us up at 3am…

Our Ronnie was waking us up at 3am scratching and crying at front door, he was getting stressed and upset and we were losing sleep. We bought 2 Feliway plug ins and after two days the scratching and crying at dusk completley stopped, Ronnie seemed calmer and more relaxed and we had a full nights sleep. I would recommend Feliway it continues to work for us and more important for Ronnie..

I’ve used Feliway for years with no issues. I have bought two in the last 6 months that smelt like burning plastic and one turned brown. I will not be buying anymore. I think they have change the plastic the diffuser is made from. Very dangerous

100% recommend

A extremely loud fighter jet flew over, making our cats terrified, after spraying this they all calmed down and were acting notably less anxious.
We also have the plug in which helped a lot when we moved house as they became more relaxed and comfortable with their new environment. 100% recommend - as someone with 4 cats

Helped our grieving cat

We lost our older cat after a sudden illness. Our younger cat, her son, had a change in behaviour. Presumably kitty grief. He became more nervous and clingy. The vet recommended we try feliway and it did help. We plugged it in, on our landing as he spends most of his time upstairs. He’s more like his normal self again. We’ll keep using it for the foreseeable future.

My cat started peeing and pooing in…

My cat started peeing and pooing in front of the fireplace on my wooden floor despite having a cat flap and a newly introduced cat litter she shares with our other cat (her kitten). They're 11 and 12 years old. They both scratch my leather sofas like mad and fight all the time. They sleep on the same bed in my room all day and night when not roaming the house which is where I placed the plug in. I'm at my wits end with them. This plug in made no difference at all! Could honestly cry. I have lodgers and having a big cat crap greeting them when they come home is so embarrassing!

They removed my review because I didn't…

They removed my review because I didn't like the product and hadn't mentioned the company. They said this: "Hello Natasha, on the review filing form, we distinguish the parts on the product review & on the shopping experience review. It would appear that your comment relates to product features and not to your overall consumer experience."
I wrote this: "Both cats hated the smell. One of them was so offended that her tail went fluffy, as though she was on attack mode. The burning smell for hours was offensive to me. Inhad to turn it off. After waiting ages for it to be delivered, due to the courier losing the first parcel, and having to be sent out a new one, I feel like I've completely wasted my time and money. I tried the plug in years ago, with a different cat, and he hated it too. I had hoped for better luck this time, but no."
Bullies. I do not recommend this company.

Total waste of money

I think it's like human doctors, vets and the big company are in cahoots with each other to scam the customer & pet owner to make as much as they can without solving any of the customers problems. Because this doesn't work, it's overpriced, majorly. And it's just a plug with some liquid in that sits, overheats and burns. It'll have no affect on your pet whatsoever, because it's a placebo. They just want the money and then they don't want to know. Nothing unusual with companies these days and of course, nobody man enough to say or do anything about it, because companies like this shouldn't even exist in the first place with all these fake products.

Doesn't do what it claims

I purchased this product due to the advertised claims it reduces stress and anxiety, and also vet recommendations. My cat started urinating on my bed and soft furnishings after our other cat passed away 6 weeks ago, due to this my other cat has been visibly stressed losing her life companion. The product has had no effect and here i am still washing soft furnishings daily as she continues to show anxiety and urinating everywhere. So I'm out of pocket of £20 for a useless product. Please don't waste your money like i did.

Feliway is a Throw-Away

I have three cats, all males, two are seniors, one is a junior, all are rescues. I Love my boys madly but the youngest has quite a few bad habits from his time being a stray. He shreds my furniture, curtains and, attacks my oldest boy of sixteen years. I bought a Feliway defuser due to a recommendation and decided to try it as I had tried everything in the Jackson Galaxy playbook until that point and nothing worked to settle my youngest.

The defuser did absolutely nothing. My youngest experienced no changes in behavior at all. He continued to attack my oldest, shredding paper, curtains and, furniture. The only thing to occur was the defuser leaked, causing an oily substance to run down my wall and onto my shelf. It was unbearable to clean. Now my wall is discoloured due to that oil leaking. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. It is far too much money for an ineffective product.

Moved house recently & felt my both cats were a little restless so I bought this plug in to help, total waste of money, one cat doesn’t seem fussed by it at all & still has his mad zoomies the other one seems worse, she is meowing more & defo picking a fight more often. After 2 weeks of using this I would not recommend it to anyone

2nd time was the charm

We have tried this before and my cat acted as if there was another cat in the house which made her worse, so I stopped using it. It's now a couple of years later and she's been very stressed for a while again and I've tried everything I can think of and eventually thought I'd give this another go. This time, I just plugged it in without switching it on. You could see the results in an hour. She was inquisitive at first and then laid beside it. Today there's no meowing all the time and she's been playing and purring a lot more. It's still early days, but this is the most hopeful I've been for a long time. You can see the change in her whole demeanour. I think introducing it more slowly made the difference this time. It's now 48 hours and it's like I've got my cat back.
