I spoke to a really helpful person called : Jefferson Quijano at the Fasthosts support today.

I had an issue with my yearly payment for my package as it was a lump sun to hit in August, which was too much for me to pay and I needed it spread out over the year. Not only did he talk me thought the process and change that for me, as he understood I'd been with Fasthosts for over 10 years he also managed to get me a discount for the package.
He saved my a lot of stress for the bill itself but saved loads of hassle if I had to move away and downgrade etc

I have to say that, while domain related issues are frustrating, in around 15 years of hosting with FastHosts I can count on one hand the number of problems I've had and, thanks to operators like Jinky, they are always sorted in the quickest manner.
